Do to others as you would have them do to you. [Luke 6:31]
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. [Proverbs 3:5]
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. [Hebrews 11:1]

Lite Days...

Chatted with Queen and a dj from K-lite [a radio station that I WAS so into a few years back, WAS is the operative word]. We got to ask her questions regarding K-lite. Told her even to whack the head of someone who's working there. Hehehe. She said we ought to do it ourselves. Queen said maybe. Whenever I think of that person, it makes me wanna whack him on the head with a frying pan. [I'm not really a violent person [if at all] but there's always a first time for everything right?] The thing is, he's not even good looking. Hah. What's that got to do with the issue? dj said, feeling guapo lang daw. Oh well. It was nice catching up with someone that I used to hear on the radio almost everyday. I'm just reminiscing. Yeah right. Ohhh, btw, the picture was taken during the final airing of Nitelite. I remember, the radio was on K-lite but we still listened thru our walkmans. Haha. Slept over at Nurse's place. Good times. Good people. Posted by Hello

Hey Jude...

I first saw this guy in a movie with Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow years ago. He's a good looking guy with an accent. Saw him on Oprah a few minutes ago. He IS still a very good looking guy. Like Oprah said, you just wanna lick him.  Posted by Hello

I could have stayed forever but that's just the way the cookie crumbles. [Awww...unrequieted love brings out the best in us right?]Hah! I hope someone like Jude Law will say/feel that way about me. Or it could come from Jom. Or from YOU. Wishful thinking as it is.
Music To Soothe My Soul...

These are my CDs, I enjoy listening to most [with the exception of a few] of them. I still have a few audio tapes thought of listing them too but it's hidden somewhere and it'll be an effort to get them. Fancy anything? If we're pretty tight, I can make you a copy granted it's for your own personal listening pleasure [only] alright? Oh yeah, I'm not making copies under the list Among Friends/Very Limited but the rest are fair game. Pretty much.

Beautiful People...

Brad and Jenn at the Emmy's...such a good-looking couple. They just complement each other.  Posted by Hello

Phil and the contestants of The Amazing Race 5 at the Emmy's...Chip & Kim won the Amazing Race 5. Yay for them. Also, The Amazing Race got the Emmy for Best Reality-Competition Program for the second time in a row. The 6th installment of the Amazing Race begins next month. Coolness. Posted by Hello

The Queers at the Emmy's...they won the Emmy for Best Reality Program. Notice Carson's pink pants? Kyan and Jai, hummina hummina...though, I didn't see them accept their award? Did I miss that? Or it was never aired? Hmmm... Miss Manonica did you see? Posted by Hello

Yet another Survivor Hunk...caught parts of the preem of Survivor Vanuatu and this FBI agent named Brady Finta caught my eye. I might watch the show just for him. Shallow me. Yep, I could be like that. Gotta love beautiful men who make TV viewing such a fun time. I'm quite tempted to post Jason Lewis' Absolut Hunk pic but thought it might turn-off some people. Big time. A naked man with just the Absolut Vodka bottle covering him. Imagine that. I'll save that for next time. Or not. Hehehe. I'll just e-mail it to some of my friends for now. Posted by Hello

  • It's a brand new week. Just thought I'd post before I head off to dreamland.
  • Bound to be a [little] busy on the work front this week. Our client's shipments are scheduled to arrive sometime this week.
  • A friend from highschool read this blog. She read the post about me having a crush on our batchmate. Hehehe. I'm actually feeling ok with someone finding about my crush. I'm growing up. Or opening up? All good.
  • I've been meaning to e-mail a friend but just don't know how to go about it. I also wanted to call her but I'm sure I will not be able to say what I really wanna say. Arrgghh. What if I pay her a visit and bring some corns. It's her favorite. Hmmm. Let's see. I'm gonna post about it when I do something. I had a fallout with her a few years back and I was really sad about that time.
  • That's one thing I still have to talk [in my case, write] about in here. Sometime soon. I feel like I'm in that zone when I can write about my feelings. Yeah.
  • Ain't this a lovely image? I stole it from a friend's blog. Hehehe.
  • Ohkay, it's almost 4am and I'm supposed to have work today. I have to post some random blogs next time. I've quite a few already.
  • Have a fine week ya'll. Thanks for dropping by. Godbless.

    Will I Be Saved...?

While watching the movie Saved, I asked myself these questions:
  • Why can't I sing/praise [with so much gusto] like some of the characters in the movie?
  • Will I be judged for my religion?
  • Will I judge other people based on their religion?
  • Why can't I fully let God be the one to guide me in this life?
  • Why do I still sometimes feel not going to church every Sunday?
  • Why do I still sometimes blame Him for what's happening around the world?
  • Why do I continue doing things that I know God will not approve of?
  • I still need so much enlightenment when it comes to the Bible. I have a Bible but I haven't really read it that much. The only times that I get to read is whenever I have to check on some passages. I've been thinking of joining Bible studies for a while now but since talking is not my best trait, I just don't go ahead with it. Is there a Bible study group that doesn't allow me to talk?

  • Pastor Skip : What you are doing is wrong in the eyes of Jesus. This is not a time for moral ambiguity.
Dean : In my heart, I know that Jesus still loves me.
  • Yes, I believe, Jesus loves me And will continue loving me unconditionally. The question for me now is, how much do I love Him? I'm hopeful. Praying for it everyday.

Days of Fun and not-so Fun...

  • Sunday [12th September]
      >> Went to the Alumni Homecoming Day in Notre Dame Kaloocan. The theme for this year's Alumni day was "Mini-Olympics Forever," some of my friends had a volleyball game versus the current varsity players. As expected, my friends lost because it's not like they still play volleyball right? It would be embarassing if the current varsity team lost to the Batch93 Varsity players right? Hehehe. Talked to some of our old teachers [one of which became a good friend of mine, she's the older sister that I never had, she even made me god mother to her first born, who's 8 years old now...sheesh, it just proves that we're getting old.] Under 20 people came from our batch, it's understandable because Sunday being a family day, they'd rather be with their respective families right? I'm glad I was there because my crush came too. Yeah, he wasn't sure he'd come but he did. I am tempted to tell my female friends from HS about me having a crush on him but knowing me, I don't really share stuff like that. They didn't even know that I had a first and only [so far] guy years ago. Oh well. Am I a bad friend for not telling them? Forgive me Damer93 Ladies. They do know that I'm quiet about stuff, so there. Anyhoo, my crush [I should give him an alias soon...so highschool but...whatever] and I seated next to each other in one of the tables and chairs in the school premises all throughout dinner til about 10pm-ish. I even got a chance to tap/touch him on his shoulder when he said something. [Imagine Carson of Queer Eye but subtler...] We all reminisced about our highschool days, they did the talking mostly, I just agreed, laughed and what not. Having a crush is sooo highschool to some people but I don't care, I have lots of crushes, I just happen to know the recent one from highschool. He wasn't my crush back in highschool, just recently, very recent. Two weeks ago to be exact. Yeah. It's the phase of smiling everytime I think about him. I'll see him next month or in November. Should I ask him for a "friendly" dinner? [Cringe] Yikes, I'm getting goosebumps that I'm even thinking about that. Hehehe. I'm kidding. I will never have to courage to do a thing like that. Typing this post is making me smile. I'll be talking about my crush in the coming posts. I need to smile more.
  • Monday [13th September]
      >> Worked til about 6pm. It was E's day. Went to M's house for the late dinner. Doctora was there too. Just the four of us. A didn't go. [A little glitch that I pray will be fixed sooner.] Queen had a jet lag? [yeah right...] Laney, well, it's Laney. She texted me earlier and told me she'll just appear as if an apparition [spell check please!!] My contribution to the dinner was Chippendrinks [that's chips and drinks]; M made this yummy Pot [its Potato] salad, Baked Tuna something, Chicken Fingers and a delish dip; Doctora brought Crispy Pata; the celebrant had two pizzas courtesy of Chef D' Angelo. Yum. It was one good meal. Indeed. Sheesh. I'm hungry now.
      >> VS soon followed. I had a few. I can drink more but I just opted not too. I was updated about the A and M glitch [I don't know what to call it, it's not a fight, it's just a misunderstanding? hmmm..it'll be fixed with talking. I have my bet on that. Praying for that every night since I learned about it from Queen a few days back] Also, "tweaked" M's blog, added a blogrolling link and a counter. She's got a Mac laptop. Sweet. It was a very "pleasurable" time for me. She got DSL connection too. What more could I ask? When and if I have extra cash, I might get one. A purple colored Mac. In the future I will have a Mac. Yeah, that's the spirit. Positivity. Lots of negative things happening around the world, we have to try to be positive in our own little world right?
  • Tuesday [14th September]
      >> Went to work with no sleep. Hah. Good thing it was a short work day for me. I was on my way home at around 2pm-ish. Hit the bed at around 4pm-ish. Missed my Tuesday TV Marathon. I was consumed with sleep. Hehe. Finally woke up at around 9am-ish. My Nanay woke me up. How many hours of sleep was that? 17? Thereabouts. I don't recommend it.
      >> It's now a Wednesday and I don't have work. God is good. He knew I needed some sleep and He gave it to me. Thank you God.

How Do You Talk To An Angel?...
     Posted by Hello

  • Do you remember Jamie Walters? From the short-live tv series The Heights? Hold On and How Do You Talk To An Angel are two of his popular songs? He was last seen on Beverly Hills 90210 as Ray Pruit. Ring a bell now? Anyhoo, I've been a member of two Jamie Walters yahoogroups for quite some time now. One is inactive [100+ members]. One is really active [30+ members so far], the moderator is a girl from Germany. She's got lots of Jamie stuff. Pix and what not. It's a fun group. All Jamie fanatics. We all talk about how his music has touched our lives. I mean, Jamie is a good looking guy, it has come up in the posts but more importantly we talk about Jamie as a musician. It's just too bad that his 3rd CD Believed didn't sell like pancakes. I haven't even seen it around the CD stores here in the metro. Too bad. I only have his Ride CD and How Do You Talk To An Angel [my favorite Jamie song] and Hold On included in a mixed CD a friend gave me. A while ago, I was able to download an acoustic version of Hold On, sweet. Darn. His voice is just...what's the word? soulful? I love love love Jamie's voice. His good-looks is just second. [hah, as if you'd believe me right?] If you happen to see a Jamie Walters CD hope you could let me know? Reserve it under my name. Or something. It's available online but I don't buy stuff online. If you stumble upon a Jamie CD, please, pretty please let me know. I'd really appreciate it. Godbless your kind soul.

  • On a much lighter note from my last post, I had a haircut last Friday. FINALLY. Got enough courage to have it cut a little shorter. The last time I had my hair this short was when I was around 8. Hah. I don't really fuss with my hair. It's straight and I don't put anything on it or mess with it. Afraid that it'll get damaged. Heheh. My cousins, sisters, friends and my Nanay were surprised that I had it cut a shorter than the usual. They said it looks good on me. Hah. I hope they were not just saying that to make me feel good. Heheh. Either way, I'll take it. I feel good about my hair. My head is lighter. Definitely. I have to take a picture as a souvenir, I may not be "brave" enough next time. I envy Jerry Yan's hair.
  • Also, I have a new crush and he's not a celebrity. Hah. Saw him last weekend. He just looked different. I mean, he still look the same but there's something different about him. I saw him last year during our highschool reunion but I didn't really see him as a crush material. It's nice to have a new crush. Yeah. Crushing on someone is a MUST. [at least for me] It's all good.
  • Mark Philippoussis didn't even make it to the second round of the US Open, he had to retire during the fifth set. Injure I think. I fell asleep watching his match. Darn. He looked good though. So many good looking tennis players. Feliciano Lopez is nice to look at. Too bad he lost to Hewitt on the 3rd round. As for the ladies, Davenport, JCap, Mary Pierce, Williams sisters, Justine Hardenne, Amelie Mauresmo are still standing.
  • Have a fine rainy Tuesday ya'll. Godbless.

    31...

  • Ohkay. I've been meaning to write about this since finding about it last Thursday night.
  • SisterJ's friend D was stabbed 31 times and died last Thursday afternoon. The suspect was her husband. He got away. Still at large. It was on the news. The news article title even went like "Massacre in QC..."
  • Now, crimes like those frequent the newspapers and the tv news programs. BUT when it happens to someone you actually know the impact is so much deeper. I mean, I get sad about the innocent people getting killed everyday but when it's someone you actually knew it's kinda hard to accept.
  • I'm pretty sure SisterJ is feeling MUCH MUCH worse. She spoke to D that lunch time before she got killed. When D called her during lunchtime of Thursday, she had to cut the call short because she was doing something in the office. SisterJ said she'd call D back. SisterJ didn't get to call her back 'til about 5pm-ish, the sad and painful news was told to her by D's brother. SisterJ went to the scene [D's house] of the crime as soon as she can. SisterJ finally told us the sad news around 9pm-ish. She was crying and still shaken up by what happened to her friend D. She asked to be fetched that night. She was scared. Because the day before D was killed, the husband called her and warned her that she should be careful and he knows that she lives near [insert name of a place here]. The guy doesn't like D communicating with her friends. Even female friends. Crazy thinking I know.
  • SisterJ and D saw each other the weekend prior to that day. They seldom get to see each other since she got married earlier this year because the husband didn't really want her to be with her friends. He's a jealous guy, SisterJ always tell us. SisterJ and her other friends told D from the beginning that the guy was bad news. But when you fall in love, you don't see what your friends are seeing wrong about the person you are dating right? And D did fall for the guy and vice versa. Though it went overboard for the guy. To make it worse, we learned that the guy even hit D. She was abused physically. She was a battered wife. Even when she was pregnant. D gave birth 2 months ago. I still can't understand how someone who claims to love someone can do such a thing. I mean, you love this person, how can you possibly end her life? Unless, the guy was on drugs or crazy or something else. Sheesh.
  • I went to the same highschool with D. My class was two years ahead of them. I remember her bubbly and carefree persona, always smiling, always saying hi. To both genders. Not a malice to it. If you don't know her you might think she's flirting. But that's how she was.
  • Anyhoo, the highschool we went to was an all-boys school in the beginning, they made it coed during the late 80s, in my class alone, we were only 19 females. Minimum of 3 girls in a classroom of almost 50 students. We were surrounded by guys and of course there were the gay guys. During our senior year, we had a presentation of the musical Grease, we needed some more girls in the play. [I didn't join in the play, I was working behind the scenes. I don't remember how I managed to not be a part of the play. BUT I did. Hah! Performing in front of people was never my thing. I only participated during my freshman year and the following years, I managed to work behind the scenes. Hah. Yeah, I actually did.] In short, we had D and some sophomores join in the play. I remember during practice, she'd always be smiling to everyone eventhough she'd feel a little shy. Her smile is hard to miss coz it's always there. Whenever she smiles, her eyes smiles too. Whoo. D was only 26. She left 3 kids behind. Her parents. Her siblings. Her relatives. Her friends.
  • Prayers for D, that she may have peace now with our God. May you rest in peace D. You'll definitely will be missed. Never will be forgotten. I also pray that the guy who's responsible come to his senses and surrender himself to the authorities. May God shed some light into him. He needs it the most.

    Quickeeee...

  • Ohkay, this one will be quick...I have 6 G-mails to give. Let me know. Email, comment or text me.
  • Badminton last night: SisterJ and I won two sets out of four. We wanted to have a set 5 but our time was up at the court. I hope to win again on Friday. Yeeha.
  • Alicia Keys is coming to town in October according from the latest Ticketnet newsletter. Coolness. I wanna watch. I hope I get to save enough money for her gig.
  • It's a brand new month, start of the BER months...sheesh, I heard my first Christmas song yesterday on TV. Christ's birthday is coming up real soon.
  • I have SIX G-mail accounts to give away...oh, I already mentioned that earlier. Hehehe
  • I finished The Rescue by Nicholas Sparks. Will start reading Bend On The Road [by Sparks as well...] later today. I like Nic Sparks, he can really make you feel the love in his writings. I KNOW.
  • Mark Philippoussis is playing his first US Open round 2004. I hope he wins. Gotta love the man.
  • On The Amazing Race, I thought Brandon and Nicole will be elimated next but they we all are blessed. They are still in the race though moneyless.
  • It's almost another weekend. Whew.
