Happy Birthday to you...

  • Today, my sister M celebrate her 24th birthday.
  • She's the youngest in the family.
  • When she was a baby, her bed was accidentally set on fire by my dear brother. [imagine a burning bed with a baby in the center...]
  • She fell down a flight of stairs when she was 5 or 6 and had her right leg on a cast.
  • She was hit by a tricycle when she was 11 or 12 while crossing the street.
  • She's a cry-baby.
  • We get along fine. We both watch a lot of TV and stay up late.
  • BUT there are times that she gets on my nerves. She and my other sister J always get on each other's nerves. I'm the mediator.
  • She often forgets her eye-glasses or mobile phone at home. [I told her to get a chain and put it around her neck]
  • She's good with graphics and stuff concerning visual art.
  • She loves Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom and Ariel [the Little Mermaid]
  • I love her too. A pain sometimes but she's alright most of the time. [hehehe]
  • StuckeyBowl no more...

While browsing through Stuckeyville yesterday, I found out that ED has already ended after four seasons. Sigh. So, in honor of Edward Jeremy Stevens [Tom Cavanagh] here are some of his memorable quotes taken from Stuckeyville.com:

"If you do a bad thing for a good reason, does that bad thing become a good thing? Or is it still a bad thing? And if so, how can it possibly be good to do it?"

"Giving should never hurt. You should just give until it feels good."
    - urging Stuckeyvillians to give what they can

If you're not born with broad shoulders and a strong jaw, there's only one way to get the girl ... you make an complete ass of yourself."

"Without the world of possibility, what do we have left?"
    - in court, defending Stuckeyville Stan

"Oh Carol, I know about your attraction to me ... let's just stop torturing ourselves, and let's start doin' it already!"
    -to Carol, in gymnasium

"Didn't you wish for a deep, long, soulful kiss from Edward J. Stevens?"
    - to Carol, at her birthday party

    "I'm sorry."
-when Carol Vessey tells Ed she's sick of him apologizing all the time

"I say even if we marry other people, we still get together every week just to do it."
    - to Carol, as they talk about their relationship

"You've obviously never experienced the boyishly convincing smile of Edward J. Stevens."
    - on how to charm the town council

"The kiss that made a man move back home and buy a bowling alley ... "
    - reminiscing with Carol about his first nights back in town

"We're circling each other like Venezuelan flamingoes engaged in a complex mating dance."
    - to Mike regarding his relationship with Carol after the almost kiss

"I'm kind, considerate, punctual. I have excellent hygiene."
    - on his qualifications as a boyfriend

    "Bear my children."
    - to an ecstatic Carol, when he offers to take Sonja's case

"You and I are just left with night after night of empty, physical pleasure."
    - when Carol mentions Molly and Jim's "relationship thing"

"At what point does a person stop deserving chances?"
    - when Carol and Moly push him to give Lloyd a chance

"If it's meant to be, you gotta do everything in your power not to let it slip away."
    - giving advice to Warren

"That moment was one of the greatest moments of my life and I have nothing to show for it."
    - on being Carol's knight in shining armor

"That was a movie kiss, a movie kiss my friend! I was Humphrey Bogart and Cary Grant rolled up into one."
    - describing his moment with Carol

"Carol, in my opinion, you and I have only one problem and that problem is you're in love with me but you're too afraid to admit it to yourself."
    - trying to work out their differences

"On some level, Carol and I will always love each other."
    - on their relationship

"Everywhere I went, I saw us ... I love you. I love every part of you."
    - choosing Carol

"I might not always agree with you, but I will always be with you and I'm sorry it took me so long to figure that out."
    - talking to Carol about their relationship

"I'm not desperate, Eli; I guess you could say I'm in love."
    - explaining to Eli why he's following Carol to NY

  • This ED petition ad was intended for the February 20th issue of Variety Magazine.
  • I wish I saw this SAVE ED banner much much earlier.

    My Yahoo Astrology for today...

Your life may seem to be at a crossroads, dear Aquarius, and a number of different possibilities could be opening up to you. The only thing that seems certain at this time is that changes are on the horizon. You'll definitely be facing some choices, but today is not the day to consider them, as confusion reigns supreme. For today, be like Scarlet O'Hara and think about it tomorrow! You'll be more focused and less doubtful by then.

p.s. I check my horoscope from time to time. Who's responsible for the daily horoscopes? I don't really believe in them half of the time but when they hit close to home...I wonder. I leave it all to God.

    Friday, March 26, 2004

    Oh, btw...

  • My work week has been quite busy but bearable.
  • 1505 hits on the dailybread, I wonder who are these people who read them. Such a good feeling that a lot of people are reading the dailybread.
  • Thank God for the weekend.
  • I can smell love in the air. Thank God for that.
  • My sister fell azleeep while watching FRIENDS [season4 ep4, The One With The Ballroom Dancing]
  • I have to be at our client's office later today. I don't usually work on weekends, but from time to time, I have to run an errand for my UncleBoss.
  • I did one load [mostly jeans and pants] of laundry last night before the water went out.
  • More laundrying tomorrow before I leave for our client's office.
  • I always get extra sleepy when it's the weekend.
  • Contemplating if I should buy Maroon 5 or the soundtrack to 50 First Dates CD.
  • I'm hungry right now.
  • I am hooked on American Idol
  • FRIENDS season 9 will FINALLY start showing next month on ABC5. [I have seen almost all of the episodes on VCD and VHS already but MUST support my FRIENDS.]
  • I'm so looking forward to the 5-day Holy Week break.
  • God is good. God is love.

    LOVE is all we need...
    * got this from Pauline. [check out her journal and find out how God moves thru her...]

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." --- 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

    1. At least 5 people in this world love you so much they would die for you.
    2. At least 15 people in this world love you, in some way.
    3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you, is because they want to be just like you.
    4. A smile from you, can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
    5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
    6. You mean the world to someone.
    7. Without you, someone may not be living.
    8. You are special and unique, in your own way.
    9. Someone that you don't know even exists, loves you.
    10. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
    11. When you think the world has turned it's back on you, take a look, you most likely turned your back on the world.
    12. When you think you no chance at getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, you probably sooner or later will get it ...
    13. Always remember compliments you received, forget about the rude remarks.
    14. Always tell someone how you feel about them, you will feel much better when they know.
    15. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they're great.

    GOD is LOVE.

    Almost...

It's a Thursday. Almost a weekend. Time flies so fast. Work has been ok. I didn't have to go to work yesterday because I was able to finish them last Tuesday. Yeah, that's one good thing about my line of work, if you get to finish early, you go home early. My UncleBoss told me we have two shipments arriving today. Thank God work is doing ok.

What did I do with my Wednesday?
  • Laundry. Yeah. Washed some bedsheets and pillowcases.
  • Watched Oprah. I have been taping Oprah for the past few months now. I watch it when I get home from work. The Sex And The City ladies were the guests on one episode. [it was the ladies farewell episode...awww...]
  • Napped from 5 in the afternoon 'til 9:30pm. It felt good. Missed Scrubs and CSI but it was worth it. I'll sleep whenever I can.

  • Does anyone know a loan shark? Or just someone who lends money? It's not for me, it'll be used to pay up lawyer fees and other expenses on my Mom's side of the family. We have this relative who suddenly got EXTRA greedy the past years. She wanted my Grandmother's lot to be hers too. It's been my Lola's property since my Mom was small. My Lola passed away last month. Shame on them. They paid someone to falsify documents. How can they sleep at night knowing that they're doing something which is not right? I don't get some people. I pray to God that He will shed some light unto them. Or I'll whack their heads myself. [I'm kidding of course...]

    Lunch Anyone?...

I had lunch with one of my highschool friends yesterday. It was supposed to be a going-away lunch for one of our friends. But most of our friends backed-out even the friend who's the reason for the lunch. Darn, the plan was made a week before and they agreed to go. It was just frustrating. I've known this people since I was in highschool. I know they have the tendency to say yes and then take it back the last minute. So frustrating and I wasn't even the one who organized it. My other friend did that. And she felt bad about it too. My friends could be like that, nothing new, but still when it happens, it still is, frustrating. It's their flaw and I guess [along with my flaws as well] we learned to accept each other inspite of.

    Weekender...

My weekend was spent laundrying [thank God for washing machines] and sleeping [a whole lot].

I didn't go to church today. Darn. I don't know why but there are times that I just don't feel like going to church. Does it ever happen to you? I'm still working on my faith. I'm not a role model when it comes to being religious. And I don't wanna be. I just want to be a good, obeying, faithful person in the eyes of God. When the going gets tough, I used to not care but nowadays, I say a prayer. I talk to Him. I pray for those who need prayers the most. I am still lucky in most aspects of life. I have all my body parts. I was able to go to school. [failed to finish college though coz of financial difficulties] I am able to eat more than three times in a day. I have a job that helps me pay the bills. I am able to buy things that I don't need but I want [CDs, DVDs, Magazines, junk food]. I haven't been hospitalized since the day I was born. I have my friends. I have my relatives. I have my family. And most of all ... I have God. My life is not perfect but it's a blessed life.

    Cheaper by the dozen...

So, say you were meeting a new person --- blind date, new friend, who knows. And you wanted them to have some idea of what kind of person you are, and who you are. But you can't actually tell them in so many words. Instead, you have to give them a box, with a dozen things in it for them to look at/read/listen to/taste/whatever. What would you put in the box? And a copy of your journal or a link to your journal would be the same thing as just telling them directly, yourself, so that's not allowed.

    1. Pictures of family and friends
    2. FRIENDS DVDs
    3. Jessica Zafra's books
    4. Raisinets
    5. My Clearbooks
    6. JANE magazine
    7. Birthday Calendar
    8. PUMA sneakers
    9. Purple inked pen
    10. Greeting cards for various occassions
    11. Pocket TV [hehe]
    12. The Bible

p.s. Got this from Pauline and Pia's journals. Thanks.
