Do to others as you would have them do to you. [Luke 6:31]
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. [Proverbs 3:5]
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. [Hebrews 11:1]

    My Wednesday, so far...

  • Been reading the updates on the Tsunami tragedy. Sad. Sad. Sad. Times like this, we realize how blessed we are. Prayers check for the victims and their families.
  • Today is the last day of work. More time to sleep in or stay up.
  • Dinner tonight with a few Litemailers/EBC.
  • Lunch with my highschool friends tomorrow. I don't like the fact that some of them are pasaway, we are not in highschool anymore. We'll be 30 in a few years time. Oh well. I'm used to it by now. Having the lunch here at home is not easy. I mean, texting and emailing them can get tiring pag walang sagot diba? Good thing, there's free chikka for the texts.
  • Got 6 [my fave number] emails from NG, he loves emailing. Took me about 3 hours, one mug of coffee, 2 glasses of water, 2 slices of fruitcake, 5 CDs [10,000 Maniacs MTV Unplugged, Serendipity Soundtrack, Dawson's Creek Volumes 1 & 2 Soundtracks, My 2002 Birthday CD] and a partridge in a pear tree [hehehe] to reply to his emails. Fun time.
  • Btw, the other day, the owner of this house that we're renting paid us a visit. She told us that she's selling the house and we have until March to find another place to live. Haaay. I don't like moving but that's just how things are sometimes. We've been here since 2001 me thinks. I really like this house. Good vibes. If only we have 1.5 million. Oh well. I'm sure, we'll find another place to live in. We're blessed that we get to have a place to live in. Unlike some people who are forced to squat in properties that doesn't belong to them. Blessed indeed.
  • Ohkay, shower time. Have a good one. God Bless.
  • Monday, December 27, 2004

Prayers for you, me and everyone else in the world...

  • Prayers going out to the victims of the killer Tsunami that hit Sri Lanka, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Somalia last Sunday. Prayers check check check.
  • On a lighter side, my lunch with three of my Grade school friends turned out good. It's a good feeling to see people from your childhood. Inspite of the hardships in life, we are doing good. That's another blessing if you ask me.
  • Dinner with Litemail & EBC scheduled on Wednesday night.
  • Miss M and Doctora liked their gifts. I'm so glad that I could make them smile with that simple gesture.
  • Only 2 working days for me this week, today and tomorrow. Quite glad coz I'll get to stay home and go online more.
  • Next week, is a brand new year. 2005. The year I'll turn 29. Darn. Have I really lived that long already?
  • Listening to Norah Jones' Feels Like Home CD right now. Jamie Walters' Ride, The Diary of Alicia Keys and a bootleg Switchfoot CD before that.
  • NG is getting in my head and I have to admit slowly in my heart, so help and guide me God. He used the word smitten. I'm getting smitten myself. Shaving cream.
  • One good day at a time.
  • I really think this is God's way of letting the two of us know it's a good thing, otherwise why would we both be so rattled? that tells me the feelings are genuine :) [I'm not gonna question God...]
  • May we all have a good week. The last week of 2004. Hope we make the most of it. God Bless.
  • PRAYERS check check check.

    Sunday after Christmas...

  • I'm bored. Hah. Not really. Just don't know what else to do online.
  • I'm random blog-hopping and wishing those random bloggers a Happy Christmas.
  • Drinking session is scheduled tonight with cousins and sisters. SisterM bought two 750ML Absolut Blue and Citron. One bottle has a special design by an artist, to SisterJ's delight. I'm pretty sure who'll get drunk tonight. It won't be me though.
  • Lunch with my gradeschool friends is tomorrow.
  • Lunch with my highschool friends is on the 30th.
  • VS or dinner or lunch with EBC, to be announced. Hehehe. Everyall is quite busy.
  • January 1 or 2, Disney Princess on Ice, hopefully we get to buy tix for that already. Nadine so wants to be there. I actually, wanna be there.
  • NG, the guy I've been chatting with [for two weeks now] who lives somewhere in the US is still turning out overwhelmingly good. Confusing my mind as it is. I've known this guy for years and it's ONLY NOW that I'm discovering things about him that I quite like. He loves FRIENDS! [and that's something already!] Also, he loves emailing. [which is like, OHKAY!] I'm just taking it as it comes. Prayers check check check.
  • Have a good one. God Bless.

    And the reason is YOU...

Happy Birthday to YOU. I've been really happy that I know someone like YOU. I knew YOU'll not give up on me. I'm so grateful that I have YOU in my life. Thanks for giving me my friends, family and even people whom I don't like. Aside from YOU, they keep me wanting to wake up each day. I'll try my bestest to be a good person in YOUR eyes. Happy Birthday again and I want more of YOU in the coming days and 'til the day I passed on to the next life. I may not say it all the time but I can proudly say that I LOVE YOU.

    What I Love About Christmas...

  • Fruitcake.
  • People are nicer to one another.
  • Signing Holiday cards.
  • Sending and receiving Holiday cards. [hint hint hint!]
  • Getting together with friends and relatives.
  • Nadine's excitement 'til opening of Christmas gifts is contagious.
  • Making people happy with your simple gift. That's priceless.
  • More time to sleep in or just stay awake.
  • The coolness in the air.
  • God Bless every all. Happy Christmas.

    Once in a while...

It doesn't hurt to read one's horoscope once in a while...

There are some things that are simply out of your control. The sooner you accept that fact, the better off you'll be. Don't be surprised if an administrative glitch or a hardware failure throws a stumbling block into your path. Make good use of the downtime you may suddenly experience. As the saying goes, 'When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.'

    I'd say, easier said dalandan.
    I'm back online...

  • As if you'd notice. Hah. Our phone got disconnected last Monday, so, no internet at home for two days. I had to check mails from an internet cafe. Anyhoo, I'm back. So, there.
  • A High School friend told me a few days ago to answer my query re: online relationship, that she was in an online relationship that ended in a disaster years ago. Hah. I'd say, after telling me the gist of it, I'm glad it was all in her past.
  • I still don't know someone whose "online relationship" turned ok.
  • There ought to be someone out there.
  • You've Got Mail could happen right?
  • I'm entertaining the thought of online relationships, does it count as a relationship?
  • I just might go crazy thinking about it.
  • I've been online for years and something nice happens when I least expected it.
  • And from someone I've known since 2000 or 2001.
  • I say, one good day at a time.
  • Bahala na si Batman or si Robin.

    Yes.

    4. If you don't, what do you mostly use on your layouts?

    Online Relationships...

Anyone out there who know someone who is or who was in an online relationship? How'd it go? Did it end up on a positive note? Or a waste of time? I need some enlightenment on this matter. God Bless you.

    From Bernadine with Love...

Bernadine is 5 years old. She wants a Barbie Doll [yet again, hehe] this Christmas. Isn't her handwriting neat for a 5 year-old? Santa, if you're reading this, there's one girl who wants a Barbie doll. Nadine makes me smile all the time. She gave me a back rub last night. She was pretty ok although I think she put too much lotion on my back. Oh well. At least, she enjoyed giving me a massage.

    Daily Dirt...

    Internet...
    1. Are you addicted to the net?
I could go a day without it.

    2. How many hours/minutes do you stay online?
2 to 3 hours. Depends. I can go for more than 5 hours on weekends.

    3. Do you have many friends online or offline?
My friends online are offline friends too. If we're counting the yahoogroups people that I know, yes, I have more online friends then.

    4. What site would you recommend and why?
    Beliefnet - Source of inspiration.
Daily Bread - Inspiring us on a daily basis.

    5. What's the best site ever?
For best layout and content it would have to be Alicia Keys Online, this is the best fansite I've come across with so far. I envy the person who maintains the site. I wish I'm that visually good at making websites.
    Best Undressed...

These ladies are included in the year-ender poll on E!online Best Undressed category. 12 or so ladies are up for the title. Some are undressed that went on their favor [just like the two ladies shown here] and some are just plain what-was-she-thinking-she-must-hire-a-wardrobe-consultant type. Lil' Kim is in there too. She MUST get a wardrobe consultant. Anyhoo, I voted for Kate's dress. Nice right? How many women can carry her dress that well? E-N-V-Y. Too bad there were no category for Best Undressed Men. Awwww. That would have been sweeter. Hahaha.

    Daily Dirt...

    Christmas Cheer
    1. So, are you mostly cheerful or sour when the Christmas celebrations start?
    Cheerful.

    2. Anything you want for Christmas that you would die for?
I want Jomari but wouldn't die for him.

    3. Do you mostly go with family or go with friends on Christmas?
    Family.

    4. Do you have any favorite Christmas meal that you eat almost every single Christmas?
Spaghetti/Carbonara. It's always present in our Noche Buena.

    5. Put quite frankly, do you like Christmas at all?
Yes, because people are nicer this time of year and also, it is Jesus' birthday, which we tend to forget. I'm guilty of that too.

    I just grabbed the spoon...

  • I love the guy on the right. His name is Zach Braff. He's a doctor. Well, at least on TV. Doctor JD.
  • Passed by Dapitan Arcade last Saturday afternoon. Saw a few stuff that interested me but didn't really have enough money for it. I bought scented candles instead.
  • I had an intense chat with a friend last Friday/Saturday. I felt relieved afterwards. So relieved I cried [during and after] but it was all good. I was Miss Sniffles in bed. Cry-baby in the house. Thank YOU for that chat. I've never been THAT open to anybody about that particular subject. It made me feel good that I was able to tell it to someone else. Even ONLY via YM chat. I don't think I'd be able to talk to someone about it face to face. Someday maybe. But not yet. I guess, I'll just know when I'm ready. Again, thank you for that chat. It means so MUCH to me. Also, thanks for that prayer. REALLY appreciated.
  • Someone I've known for years via the Jamie Walters group kinda-sorta flirted [I could be dense when it comes to reading between the lines, but not that dense...and besides he admitted that he was in a flirty mood...] during one of our chats. Hmmmm. We seldom chat. So, it was something new. Maybe, he was just feeling flirty. As I type this, we're still chatting. I'm about to call it a night though. Have to get a few zzzzz. Work is bound to be light. Just have to be somewhere at 9:30am.
  • Have a fine week to all you faithful visitors. Always a pleasure. Next week is Christmas week. God Bless.

    Heart & Mind...

  • Faith in God becomes the antidote to fear.
  • "I believe in the sun even whe it is not shining. I believe in love even when I do not feel it. I believe in God even when He is silent."
  • When you feel forsaken, cry out, "My God, My God" as an affirmation of faith -- even in the silence.
  • Suffering is an inevitable part of life. Misfortune never leaves us where it finds us. The pain will one day cease. But what we learn in these dark experiences is our treasure forever.
  • In the middle of your trial or suffering when your life is not fair, turn to God and ask for His peace and comfort.
  • The Bible provides the needed survival strategies and tells us of the One who remains unchanging in our changing world.
  • If we allow Him, God can use the "waves" of life that beat against us to polish and beautify our souls.
  • When a crisis strikes, we need to find some quiet moments, an interval away from the confusion and noises about us. Then we can hear the still, small voice of God calling us to restoration and wholeness.
  • Today make a conscious effort to reach out and pray for a neighbor or help a friend with something --- maybe a listening ear. You can represent God to others.
  • His love has no limits, his grace has no measure,
    His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of his infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth and giveth and giveth again.
  • Earthly life is but the preface to our unending eternal life with God.
  • Whatever the future holds, I'm in His hands.
  • What e'er the future holds, I'm in his hands,
    The days I cannot see, have all been planned for me;
His way is best, you see; I'm in his hands.
  • God will lift us up from being a victim to being a victor in life's struggles.
  • YOU are precious in God's eyes.
  • The Lord comes to us in the midst of our failures, fears, sorrows, and tragedies and speaks again His assuring promise, "Peace be with you."
  • Your faith in God can turn your tragedy into triumph.
  • A person who has suffered has the most to give to others. One of the best therapies in life comes from helping and encouraging someone else. This act of kindness to others lifts us out of ourselves and gives us encouragement from our comfort to others.
  • He will bring us through our difficulties. No wave is too high, no crashing breaker is too strong, and no undertow is too formidable. as we trust in God's strength, we will not go down, but through. He has brought us through, and now He will lead us on.
  • "Lord, help me to remember that nothing can happen today that You and I cannot handle together!"
  • I hope this warms your heart and mind. The following lines were the ones that got my attention while reading When Life Gets Tough by Henry Gariepy. Thanks to Miss M for giving me this particular book.
  • Have a good Tuesday. God Bless.
  • Sunday, December 05, 2004

Will you please distract me? ...

  • He had me with those lips...errr...that didn't sound right. He goes by the name of Sharif. I don't even know his last name. Forgive me, I need the distraction from my reality. Don't we all need a distraction?
  • My MSN horoscope: Angle yourself away from the problems instead of stepping directly into them, dear Aquarius. You may not be able to directly see the potholes coming, so consider taking another road. Do not waste your time falling into a hole that you can avoid. It may be difficult to deal with your emotions because more than likely, your usual way of dealing with such intensity is to just push it away, ignore it, and operate on strictly a cerebral level. This kind of attitude will not serve you very well on a day like this.
  • Last Wednesday night, someone IMed [instant message] me thru YM. It came via my phone coz I was online via SMS. Sheesh, and here I thought my sister changed the preference to no anonymous people IMing me. Anyhoo, I ignored it at first but the person asked if I was safe. Hmmmm. What's up with that? Safe from what? SisterM was online at that time so I dared not intrude. My computer time is midnight onwards. 3 people share the computer here at home so, we have our own computer time. Moving back to the anynomous IMer. I replied and asked who the person was. No reply. The next day. I got home early. Went online around 4pm-ish. The same person IMed me again. This time asking for my age and location. I replied and asked who the person was. The person said, his name is K and he works in IT, he's 29 and lives in QC. I asked him where he got my name and I might know him and just playing tricks on me. According to him, he was browsing through the online people at that time. He said he was bored. Blah blah blah. And I'm supposed to believe that? I wasn't born yesterday. We got to chat for awhile. Found out about a few things about him and vice versa. We even exchanged mobile numbers. I think that was a mistake. Giving him my mobile number. The last time I gave my number to someone, it didn't really worked out well. [Don't tell anyone...] Anyhoo, last Friday, he asked if I wanted to meet him. I said no. I mean, if you know me. I'm not very good at meeting people. Just not good at it. I think I need to see someone to teach me how to communicate well with people. He sent me a text message last Saturday. He said hi. I replied and said hi back. One liners. I don't like short text messages. Must always reach the text character limit. One peso is still one peso. Might as well take advantage of it. [take advantage of one peso worth of text? hehe] That was it. We could end up friends. Yeah, I think we could be friends. Will I meet him in person? If he resembles like Sharif or Jomari why not. Dream on. If he does look like Jomari, my gulay. He doesn't have to talk. I could just stare at him. Oh well. I thought that was worth sharing. Or just a waste of your time. Either way, this is my blog right? Yes. So, you just have grin and bear what I post in here. Please come back again. Hehe.
  • Have a good week to all those who faithfully read this. You know who you are. God Bless. Hope no typhoons this week. Bless those people who passed away last week. I hope they are in a better place now with our God. Amen.
  • My favorite vampire slayer...

Nice dress. Sheesh. E-N-V-Y. I miss watching Buffy.

7 hours and a few minutes...

  • I spent that much time tweaking my color blocks. Added images to the white spaces. Seemed to work out fine. Loading time will be slower though. I hope I don't reach my bandwitch limit at Ripway or else the images will not be visible. Oh well, if that happens, I will have to upload half of the images to Photobucket or at Flickr
  • I'm just waiting for the taho vendor and I'm off to dreamland. Have a fine Sunday. God Bless.
  • Sharif...

One of the last four contestants on Playing It Straight...what do you think? Straight or gay? I already know the answer, I had to check. hehehe. He's a musician too. A guitar-playing guy with a beautiful face. I'm sure he has a flaw. What is it? Hmmmm. I could actually include him on my Hummina List for this year. His eyes smiles when he smiles. My gulay. I'm done salivating. For now.
    Feeling Christmassy...

  • Changed the background image for this month. Just adding a lil' Christmas spirit in here. Isn't she the cutest Santa? Got the image from Image Bank. Thanks to Pia for pointing me in that direction.
  • Whenever I'm away from the computer, I have quite a number of thoughts to blog about BUT when I'm here, everything is blank. Oh well. I've updated my TGIF livejournal.
  • The things I want to blog about are all in my head for now. Will share them when I'm ready. Have a good weekend. God Bless.

    F-U-N...

  • Where have you been? What up? [hehe] I always check this blog and I always say [to myself] that I will update it as often as possible. So, here is an update of sorts.
  • It's the last day of November. Sheesh. One month left 'til 2005.
  • I had an day of fun with Miss M and Doctora. First thing we did was lunch at Chef D'Angelo around 3pm-ish. Pizza and pasta made my tummy not a happy one. Sheesh, that what I get for not eating anything but taho all day. I was one level down the throwing-up stage. I hate throwing up. Big time. But my tummy felt better after drinking tea and taking one tablet of Kremil S.
  • Next, we attended a christian church service. It was very enlightening. The sermon [do they call it a sermon? I'm not sure.] was very apt for my friends and I. It was my first time to be in a christian church. I even asked my friend if I'll be allowed in there since I'm not a born-again christian. I'm born Catholic, not a very good Catholic though. Trying to be good. I'll be enlightened on this one, I'm sure. God is good all the time right?
  • Then, we watched Santa Santita, I liked the movie. Jericho [guy on picture] is a good actor. My friends were mumbling words of appreciation/lust whenever he appears on screen. I'm usually my quiet self. Can't blame them, he's one hummina guy right? I like his walk.
  • Then, we ended the day/afternoon/night of fun with dinner at Congo Grille. Brought back old memories. It was a very enligtening day of fun. Next time, I hope Eee, Laney and Queen and Nurse [hehe] will be with us.
  • No work Monday. I spent it sleeping. 4am til 4pm. I may not get enough sleep during the weeknights but I sure make up for it whenever I can. Bad bad bad sleeping patterns I know.
  • It's almost Christmas and I haven't bought anyone a present. Money is too tight to mention. I do have Christmas cards already. Our CD-Writer is not working so, my myx2004 CD is still just a song list for now. Darn. My highschool friends are excited about the CD. It's been two consecutive Christmases that I gave them a myxed CD.
  • FRIENDS DVDs/VCDs on Astrovision. All seasons at Php150 per volume [6 Volumes per season except for season10 which only have 5 volumes] Also, the Best Of Friends Volumes 3 & 4 are already available. Must get the season 10 and Best Of soon. The DVDs per season are now Php1500 each. Seasons 1-7 are available. I have to get one season for my birthday.
  • I have to end this one for now. It's past 3am. I have to get a few hours of zzzz in a while though I'm not yet sleepy. Oh well. Have a good one everyone. God Bless.

Of celebrating life as we know it...

  • Nadine is numero uno in her class. Yay. This girl is my happy thought. Yes, she is.
  • It rained over the weekend. It wasn't good for laundrying but I still washed two loads on the machine. I just don't want it to pile up.
  • I was the energizer bunny Sunday. Went to dreamland around 5pm-ish. From my Saturday nap [11pm-2am]. My sleeping pattern is bad bad bad. Don't worry, I still get to zzzzz. There are just days that sleep won't get to me.
  • It was a fwend's birthday last Monday. Made her a website. I got worried all day Monday coz she hasn't mentioned anything about the gifty. When she finally texted me later that afternoon. It was a good vibe. She liked it. I was so glad. Haaaayyy. A sigh of relief finally. The feeling of making someone happy in my own little way is overwhelming. Good vibes all the way.
  • Today is officially a Thursday. Whew. The weekend is around the corner yet again. Another long weekend coming up. My friends and I will have a day of fun this weekend. Movies and lunch. Beach trip will have to be for another time. Just making the most out of it. Fun times is a MUST.
  • Watched Amazing Race 6 a while ago, I'm still don't have a fave team. Though I don't like the guy who's loud, the one who always [ALWAYS] bicker with his girlfriend. I'm sensing he could be gay. Hehehe.
  • My Nanay will be home today. I feel bad about my Aunts coz they didn't send her money when she needed it. SisterJ loaned some money knowing that my cousin will send the money to the province asap. Then my mother texted SisterJ asking about the money. She told her it's already with my cousin. Cousin told us that the money is for the lawyer's fees and not for my mother's plane fare. What the f***? I mean, they asked her to go there in the first place. They should pay for her plane ride going home as well. Relatives are really a pain in the behind sometimes. So, Tuesday morning we sent money to my mother. We told her to leave and just go home. Darn. I hate family-related disputes. Karma to those relatives who just want everything for themselves. They will not take their money with them when they die. I'm not wishing them dead though. I'm living it all to God.
  • Oh well, such is life we live. Little problems along the way, but I'm sure we'll get through them some day. I always keep in mind that, God will not give us something that we can't handle. Yeah. Let's all keep that in mind.
  • When someone sends you an e-mail coz they saw your name on an message board. And they want to be friends. How'd you feel? I'm a little paranoid when it comes to that. I don't know how to reply to that. That's why I don't fancy chatrooms. Anyhoo, I do chat on my Yahoo, MSN and AOL messengers. The people on my list are from the various yahoogroups, friends I already know and relatives in the US [AOL]. I get IMed by strangers some times. Like, asking, "DO YOU NEED MONEY?" Yeah right. Like I would reply to that. If you know me, you know that I need money. We all need it. For different reasons.

    Gloomy Saturday...

  • It is a gloomy Saturday. Weatherwise that is. Not good for laundry day but I'm still at it. Weekend is the only time I get to do laundry.
  • Anyhoo, last night, I had a headache. It started around lunch time. I just ignored it coz I was at work. It really hit towards the early evening. Crap.
  • SisterM texted me and asked if I wanted to watch an advance screening of Bridget Jones's Diary 2, I wanted to go but the headache just won't go away. So, I passed. It's been years since the last time I went to see a movie on an advance screening. Those were the lite days.
  • On my way home, passed by a McDonald's, I ordered my dinner, and called up Nadine to ask is she wants anything. She said Fries and Spaghetti. Nadine has been feverish [on and off] since Thursday night. Good thing, she didn't have classes Friday. Poor girl. She's like that, just out of nowhere will have the fever and what-have-you. I hope and pray to God that this is just a phase. That when she gets older she'll be much stronger.
  • Ohkay, that would be all for now, I'm gonna go back to my "project," any guesses, what my project is about? I've never been this excited for a long time. Yay. Have a fine weekend. God Bless.

    Do You Believe in Horoscopes?...

This is a good time to make decisions that will bring together your need for practicality as well as your desire for emotional freedom, dear Aquarius. Keep in mind that it is important for your mental health to be able to have real faith in your fantasies and your ability to see them through to fruition. There is a special portal open for you today that has your name on it.

    That thing called L-O-V-E...

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

    1. At least 5 people in this world love you so much they would die for you.
    2. At least 15 people in this world love you, in some way.
    3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you, is because they want to be just like you.
    4. A smile from you, can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
    5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
    6. You mean the world to someone.
    7. Without you, someoen may not be living.
    8. You are special and unique, in your own way.
    9. Someone that you don't know even exists, loves you.
    10. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
    11. When you think the world has turned it's back on you, take a look, you most likely turned your back on the world.
    12. When you think you no chance at getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, you probably sooner or later will get it ...
    13. Always remember compliments you received, forget about the rude remarks.
    14. Always tell someone how you feel about them, you will feel much better when they know.
    15. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they're great.

    GOD is LOVE.

    My Little Tahitian Girl...

Just the thought of her make me smile.
    Cramps Alert...

  • It feels like I'm home alone eventhough my Tatay is here. He's probably asleep in his room already. Nanay is still in the province, hopefully, she'll be back in December. Some money loans have been approved. Thank God.
  • SisterM is on her way to yet another mountain climbing in Batangas. SisterJ texted a while ago saying she'll be late [and if I could wait up for her] coz she and her two friends are having a "heart-to-heart" talk.
  • Fine by me. I had the TV and our room all to myself. Yay. I like watching TV alone sometimes. Caught Miss Match, it has potential, though Alicia Silverstone is not that believable as a lawyer. Then came, Playing Straight, another reality TV show about a girl who has to choose a straight guy in order to win a million dollars and a possible love [really now...], and if she happen to choose a gay guy, the million dollars will go to the gay guy. I think it's the second episode already, so, I'm watching, and DAMN, it's hard to tell who's straight or who's not. 2 guys were eliminated in this episode. One straight [who I thought was gay...] and one gay [who I thought was straight]. I'm gonna watch it again next Friday. Just to see how it all comes down. I couldn't resist and checked the official website, I already know who's straight and who's not. Man. Sheesh. That was surprising. I don't think you can really tell if someone is gay unless they dress the part no? Oh well, I have gay friends and they are cool in my book.
  • Work has been slightly busy this week. Nothing I can't handle though.
  • It's mid-November and I still don't have money for Christmas gifts. Darn.
  • Btw, I now have the Reality Bites soundtrack. Thanks Mr. Mann, indeed you're the man. Will return the favor one way or another. Care for some taho?
  • I'm feeling lazy. I have my monthly visitor. Cramps alert. I wonder if I'll be up for laundry later. Oh well. Good thing it's a long weekend. No work on Monday. Yeeha.
  • FRIENDS is back on Star World. They're still there for us.
  • It's a long weekend coming up. Yay. God Bless.

    Tell Me No Lies...

  • I don't have work today. I don't have work during the weekends.
  • I'm already getting sleepy.
  • For the past few nights/days, I've been sleeping around 4am-ish. Darn sleep will not get to me.
  • Now, that I don't have work later, I'm sleepy.
  • I'm repeating myself.
  • Sleepiness is getting to me.
  • My Friday work day went fine. Not too busy. Next week will be a bit busy.
  • I had my hair trimmed once again. It will grow back sometime soon.
  • Passed by the Bootleg DVD place, and I found and bought, Alias Season 3 [I still haven't seen the entire Season1 because our DVD player has been dead for the longest time]; Sarah McLachlan's VH1 Storytellers [My fave song is Angel]; Dave Matthews Band concert and drum roll please...hehehe, Before Sunset, yes, I bought it eventhough I know that I will not be able to see it for quite some time and that I will get the original when I have the extra cash.
  • I keep a notebook for my DVDs. In alphabetical order. I even arranged them that way. I'm not OC. I just want to organize it.
  • My "project" is shaping up ok. I will install Dreamweaver, SisterM told me she made a page using that program while I still code by hand. Codes I find from Bravenet and Dynamic Drive and Mandarin Designs.
  • I'm a bit disappointed with some of my highschool friends because they will not be at a batchmate's dinner/drinking session tonight. Our batchmate even called me and asked what's our drink of choice. Told him they drink San Mig Lite [he asked, how many cases should I buy?] and I drink Absolut [and he said, how many bottles should I buy?]. Well, I hope to see some old faces tonight. Hehehe. I hope my crush will be there.
  • I'm on my second mug of coffee.
  • I lied today while in a 711 store. Ok, I saw this mag, of the 50 cute/handsome [I can't recall the exact adjective used] men in Philippine Showbiz. So, I opened the magazine [with the sticky tape plastic cover], scan the guys, looked for Jomari, he's not included. [Asa pa ako? hah!] I put back the magazine in the rack. Minus the plastic cover. Another guy picks up the magazine. I turn to leave the magazine rack area. The guard asked me, Ma'am, kayo po ba nag-alis ng plastic ng magazine?, and I lied to his face and said, Hindi po, andyan na sya. I felt guilty. Sheesh, I can't even look the guard straight in the eye. It was a first for me, I mean, lying to someone I don't even know [I usually lie to people I already know....hehehe]. I don't know why I did it in the first place. Whenever I see a magazine that is covered in plastic, it's automatically means that I will not open that magazine, unless I'm really curious, then I'll ask for permission. I still feel guilty lying about it. Oh well, what's done is done. I'm going to hell for that.
  • I'm not sleepy anymore. YM chatting with a friend from High School.

    TV Talk...

  • Back to work like most of you people who read this blog. Paperwork all day Wednesday. Whew. But my cousin Nadine was there to amuse me. I love her.
  • Watched the first season finale of THE O.C. [when I first saw a magazine ad for this show, I thought OC meant obsessive compulsive] last Tuesday night. I shed a few tears. Darn it. I don't know why, must be the song [Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley...one of my faves...he's got a very soulful voice] that was playing towards the end of the movie. OR I'm just one cry baby. Yes. I'm not ashamed to admit. I get misty-eyed watching Oprah. Awww.
  • Also, from that season finale, another song stuck to me, Maybe I'm Amazed by Jem, I downloaded that song and I'm liking it. She appeared in the finale too.
  • Speaking of music from the O.C., Mix 1, 2 [I like Nada Surf's version of If You Leave and Maybe I'm Amazed is included in this mix.] & 3 [This is a Chrismukkah (Christmas and Hanukkah) mix, I love Jimmy Eat World's Last Christmas] are already available. You can preview the songs, just click on the link and it will take you to the official music site. Gotta get those soundtracks when I have the extra cash to burn. I wonder how many CDs they will release through the course of the show. The new second season starts November 4 in the US.
  • RPN9 changed their tv skeds, Scrubs is on every 6:30PM now, too early if you ask me. I will not be able to watch it on a regular basis. Around that time, I'm still on my way home from work. Why move it on an earlier time slot? Why? Why? Why? Sheesh. Also, Everwood is back on RPN9, they started with the pilot episode last night. So, I'm guessing it's gonna be a while for Season2.
  • Well, on a bright side, Gilmores will start Season4 this Saturday on Stud23. I will be at a dinner with my some of my highschool batchmates. I thought of not attending but the person having the dinner will be going back to the UK soon, this will be the only time that I'd get to see him. Oh well. Real live people first. Hehehe. Must timer record. I hope our VCR will cooperate this weekend. Nip/Tuck season 2 starts mid November, more Christian Troy, yay. The Amazing Race 6 is coming this month as well. I guess you win some, you lose some.
  • Ohkay, it's a Thursday. The weekend is almost here once again. I hope we all have a good one. God Bless.

About Talkie Movies and those 50-Peso Hardbound Books...

  • Before Sunset [is the sequel to Before Sunrise] is my favorite movie this year, so far. If you don't like talkie movies, this one is not for you. If possible watch it by yourself. Watch it more than once. I saw it twice. Have to see it again. I'm not reviewing the movie. I can't do that kind of thing. I'm only saying that I LOVED the movie and this could be my favorite movie of all time, ok, not my #1 but definitely in my Top10. I'm a fan of talkie movies. Gotta love them. Next year, for my birthday, I'll get the DVD of Sunset and maybe Sunrise as well. Or if I have enough cash after I bought my nieces/nephews/god children gifts for Christmas, I'd buy the DVD for myself. Oh btw, you have to watch Sunrise before watching Sunset, the sequel will fill in some blanks from the first movie.
  • Bought 10 hardbound books at NBS SM North Edsa last Saturday, 50-peso a book, they were on sale. Couldn't resist not buying. It's too affordable for me to resist. I'm glad I bought them. I now have 20++ hardbound books that I started buying last year. When will I get to read all of them books? Only time will tell.
  • I check the Alicia Keys official website whenever I go online. To see if they have updates and what not. A few days ago, I read Alicia's latest journal entry talking about someone [from the message board] passing away. So, I checked the boards and read that someone indeed died. I even extend my condolence in one post. Anyhoo, just today, I checked the boards and found out that the person who the board people [including me] and including Miss Keys thought died wasn't really dead. I mean, I was relieved that she wasn't dead BUT to let people know that you died is not VERY funny. I mean, if you read what Alicia wrote on her journal entry, you'd feel that she was saddened by that person's passing. Darn. Now, I don't know what else to say. I guess, that person just wanted attention and that was accomplished. Death is not funny. Nothing funny about death.

    Gratitude...

Saw the update episode of her Wildest Dreams show [19th season premiere] where she gave the entire audience a car. One lady sold the car that she got and donated the money to charity. Another gave the car to her Mom. A few others sold their cars too and paid off debts. It was a very heart-warming episode. It even made me cry in some parts. I'm such a cry baby. It was 1pm-ish in the afternoon and I was shedding some tears. Well, Oprah tried not to cry as well. Gotta love Oprah. She is one of the coolest person in the world for me.  Posted by Hello

How many hours of sleep is enough?...

  • Alright. Who hasn't slept yet since 9pm-ish last night?
  • That would be me.
  • This is one of them days that sleep just won't get to me.
  • I was actually sleepy around 5am-ish but it faded and I decided to do laundry instead.
  • I've done 3 loads of laundry already. [thank you Samsung washing machine]
  • I've had two mugs of taho. [yummee]
  • I've swept the kitchen floor.
  • Sorted the dirty clothes into their respective colors.
  • Listened to The Heights soundtrack for a number of times. I lost count already.
  • Listened to : my Yeah Mixed CD #2, N.E.R.D., Keane, 50 First Dates soundtrack.
  • What else?
  • Oh yeah, I discovered something that makes my html coding easier. Kudos to Photoshop. I'm one happy person right now. I've been "experimenting" for hours. Man. I'm so excited. I just can't help it. Yay.
  • Because of that something, I now have a new project. No, not my Jomari Connnection. I was trying to figure out how to disable the right-click on images. Not much success there. Frustrating. So, I decited to do a new project for now. Fresh and all. Well, sort of.
  • Okay, I just wanted to post something that'll remind me that I'm happy today. Sheesh. I'll take a hot shower. Maybe, it'll put me to sleep. My back hurts though. Never mind that. I'm happy. My dreams will be in html codes. Hehehe. God Bless.
  • I'm smiling, can you see? [typos will be checked later or not...]

    Last VS with Nurse A...

This was taken during the last VS [vodka session] with Nurse A. She's now in NY. This was the "wildest" VS as of yet. You should see the video. [kidding, there's no video...] I slept for the first time in one of them VS and I have a souvenir pic to remind me of it. What are the odds of that ever happening? Miss M and her camera. Oh well, it was a fun time. Was all good. Queen is the envy of most guys for being part of that VS or should I say, poor Queen? Hehehe.  Posted by Hello
    Connecting...

I'm updating my Jomari Connection site. About time. This is what I got so far. Not much. See the white space? I still have to figure out how to add something in there. The colors aren't too girly right? I love his eyes.  Posted by Hello

    Survivors In Manila..

Saw them on Breakfast and Wazzup Wazzup the other day. They seem to be having a good time here. Star treatment and all. It was nice seeing them in a different light. Some of them even followed dance steps from Vhong [Wazzup host]. Ethan's curly locks so nice to look at, I'm not really for curly-haired guys but this guy looks good with curls don't you think? Jenna kinda resembles Sarah McLachlan me thinks. Shih Ann, gotta love this lady. Too bad she didn't become the ultimate Survivor. Thanks Pia for letting me use the pic.  Posted by Hello
    My First TGIF! post...

    1. Where and what time do you usually go online?
Around or before midnight at the comfort of our home.

    2. What computer are you using right now?
A hybrid of Lil Monica and my sister's CPU [Lil Monica's HD is inside] in other words, it's a PC.

    3. What is your dream computer?
A Laptop or those slim-screen PCs. In color purple if possible.

    4. What can you say about the whole Mac vs PC hoopla?
PC is affordable but Mac is easier to use from what I notice and they come in cool colors.

    5. Name some of your favorite websites.
Excluding blogs/journals, these are the sites that I frequent:
    E! Online
    TV Shows On DVD
Bench [on the lookout for updates on Jomari...hehehe]

  • Hope costs nothing. Got that from Words to Live By
  • Who's happy? I am. Why you may wanna ask? Well, let's see, someone from the Jamie4Ever yahoogroup sent me 2 of Jamie Walters' CDs. Got them Thursday. Who would have thought that after years of wanting to have those CDs, someone finally made it come true. I'm so grateful. Phil, if you're reading this one, THANK YOU so much. You don't know how much this means to me. I hope to return your generosity one way or another. I now have all 3 of Jamie's CDs. Yay. Could I BE anymore excited? Have a good weekend everybody. God Bless.

    1. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
    2. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as Important as any other.
    3. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
    4. When you say, "I love you," mean it.
    5. When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.
    6. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.
    7. Believe in love at first sight.
    8. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.
    9. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
    10. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
    11. Don't judge people by their relatives
    12. Talk slowly but think quickly.
    13. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"
    14. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
    15. Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.
    16. When you lose, don't lose the lesson
    17. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.
    18. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
    19. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
    20. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.
    21. Spend some time alone.
  • I've added four links. Actually, the other two I just exported from my EJ account.
  • Saw The Heights' vid for How Do You Talk To An Angel a while ago on MTV. Jamie Walters. That made me smile.
  • Didn't go to work yesterday. Stayed in bed most of the time. Didn't even use the PC 'til around night time. Hah. Now, my head is aching. Too much time in bed.
  • Today is a brand new day, may it be a perfect day. I can wish. God Bless you.

1 part Happy, 1 part Sad...

  • My Nanay texted earlier today asking money to send to the province. Darn. This is what I don't like about my dear mother. She KNOWs our financial situation here and still she keeps on sending this guilt-trip text messages. I understand the current situation there but we also have a situation here. It just put me in a bad mood that after all this time, she thinks that we can get money JUST LIKE THAT. Aaarrrgggghhh. I promised myself I will not borrow money unless it's a life and death situation. And this is not one of them situation. Sheeesh. My Nanay always know how to put me in a bad mood just thru her text message. It's like if we don't come up with the money, it'll be like abandoning her. Where did that even come from? My God. I'm not very verbal. I'll just keep quiet BUT it's just sad that the person who can hurt you the most is ALWAYS someone you love. Sucks doesn't it? Man. Those Greedy relatives should all burn in hell. God help me not to HATE them because I can't help myself. All we need is love. Right, but with people like my greedy relatives? No thank you. Makes you wish we're not related at all. God please let me see the brighter side of this situation, I know you love them too inspite of their actions.

  • Ok, the happy part of this post? Well, I've been reading about DHTML [the combination of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS] and tried a few FREE codes I got from Dynamic Drive and I've been enjoying myself experimenting with the codes. Yay. This is the distraction that I so badly need right now. I'm still figuring out how to go about the codes. The way I want them to appear and stuff. I hope I get there sooner. Give me time and my Jomari Yllana site will have a face lift. Hah. I say that with confidence. SisterM will be my help with Photoshop or I could just ask her to make me some Jomari graphics. I'm not really artistic like that. I only see black and white. Anyhoo, that would be all for now. I'm gonna get some zzzzz. Need to get up at 5am-ish to do laundry. That is, if I wake up in time. My alarm clock is not that helpful sometimes. Hope you're having a better time than me. God Bless us all. [yes, including my Greedy relatives]

    Greedy sleeper...

I'm guilty of that. I nodded off around 1am-ish last night/day. Whatever. I was sooooo sleepy. It wasn't my plan to go to bed early but if my eyes are closing, it's the only sign I know that I'm this [my thumb and index finger almost touching] close to zzzzzing. Anyway, I set the alarm for 6am. I plan to do laundry. That obviously didn't pan out. It's already close to lunch time. I haven't done anything. I'm too lazy to do anything right now. Darn it. I'll just have my taho. And just be. Headache alert as well, TOO much sleep. That's what I get for being a greedy sleeper. I wanna go back to my old sleeping habit. Do I really wanna? Oh well. I miss the stillness of the early morning. Silence is very good for the soul, sometimes though you do hear your own thoughts louder than you want it to be. Think Ally McBeal and her loud thoughts. Ok, will check mails and what-not for now. Then will post again later. Have a fine weekend. God Bless.

    Tita Tess and her faves...

Saturday. Shanghai Bistro. Tita Tess's birthday lunch. The food was great. The people were great. Mia was the official photographer/videographer. Tita made it more exciting by letting us answering 10 Qs about her faves. We weren't ready for it. She told us to make guesses. Here are the Qs. I got 4 correct answers along with Bruno. [yeah, he got 4, good guesser me thinks...]
    1. Favorite Color :: Yellow
    2. Favorite Movie :: Sleepless in Seattle
    3. Favorite Actor :: Tom Hanks
    4. Favorite Actress :: Julia Roberts
    5. Favorite Hobby :: Cross-stitching
    6. Favorite Cable station :: Star World
    7. Age when she got married :: 27
    8. Favorite TV Show :: The Practice
    9. Favorite Singer :: Erik Santos
    10. Favorite day :: Friday
and we got prizes after the quiz. Darn. It was Tita's birthday but she gave us gifts instead. Hah. Felt like Christmas already. Tita Tess is one of the coolest and generous person I know. I'm grateful that I have met her. Such a kind-hearted soul. She inspires me to become a better person. Thanks Tita Tess.
A quiz for the ladies out there...

My reality bites once in a while...

  • Slept around 5pm-is yesterday [Sunday], it was suppose to be a nap. Darn it. Woke up at 2am-ish early Monday. Sheesh. I sleep to forget my reality. Hah.
  • My Nanay will be going to the province later today, the greedy relatives decided to have the house [and other houses that was part of the lot] demolished last Wednesday, they had a hearing last Friday. They just take drastic actions without thinking. Stooooopids. I just HATE [yes, I do HATE them] that they turn into greedy people. I mean, we are related in some way. I'm just relieved that my Lola isn't here anymore to witness such kind of behavior from those greedy relatives. Now, after the Friday hearing, the greedy relatives are in a bigger shit than they can imagine. First, forgery of the documents, now this. My Nanay said she will not go straight to their demolished property, she said she doesn't have the heart to see it yet. Darn, those greedy relatives for making more people feel bad. How do they still get to sleep at night? And what's worse? They are church going people. [reminds me of the song, banal na aso, santong kabayo... I can't remember the title as of now] What's up with that? It's all about karma. It'll come back to you whether you like it or not. Just do the right thing so the bounce back will be good too. Luke 6:31 reminds me before and after I act on something.

I even asked the saleslady if they had another copy. I know a few people who will surely appreciate this magazine book.  Posted by Hello

    I'm on cloud #9...

I've been a member of a Jamie Walters yahoogroup for quite a while now. And just a few days ago, someone wants to send me his extra copy of Jamie's recent CD [Believed]. He said it could be an advance Christmas gifty. Man, I asked myself, what have I done to deserve such generosity...? I'm so excited/happy that I'd do cartwheels if I can. [hehe] To Phil from the Jamie4Ever group THANKS in advance. You don't know how much I appreciate this gesture. Hope to return the favor one way or another someday. Godbless your kind soul.  Posted by Hello

    Lite Days...

Chatted with Queen and a dj from K-lite [a radio station that I WAS so into a few years back, WAS is the operative word]. We got to ask her questions regarding K-lite. Told her even to whack the head of someone who's working there. Hehehe. She said we ought to do it ourselves. Queen said maybe. Whenever I think of that person, it makes me wanna whack him on the head with a frying pan. [I'm not really a violent person [if at all] but there's always a first time for everything right?] The thing is, he's not even good looking. Hah. What's that got to do with the issue? dj said, feeling guapo lang daw. Oh well. It was nice catching up with someone that I used to hear on the radio almost everyday. I'm just reminiscing. Yeah right. Ohhh, btw, the picture was taken during the final airing of Nitelite. I remember, the radio was on K-lite but we still listened thru our walkmans. Haha. Slept over at Nurse's place. Good times. Good people. Posted by Hello

    Hey Jude...

I first saw this guy in a movie with Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow years ago. He's a good looking guy with an accent. Saw him on Oprah a few minutes ago. He IS still a very good looking guy. Like Oprah said, you just wanna lick him.  Posted by Hello

I could have stayed forever but that's just the way the cookie crumbles. [Awww...unrequieted love brings out the best in us right?]Hah! I hope someone like Jude Law will say/feel that way about me. Or it could come from Jom. Or from YOU. Wishful thinking as it is.
    Music To Soothe My Soul...

These are my CDs, I enjoy listening to most [with the exception of a few] of them. I still have a few audio tapes thought of listing them too but it's hidden somewhere and it'll be an effort to get them. Fancy anything? If we're pretty tight, I can make you a copy granted it's for your own personal listening pleasure [only] alright? Oh yeah, I'm not making copies under the list Among Friends/Very Limited but the rest are fair game. Pretty much.

    Beautiful People...

Brad and Jenn at the Emmy's...such a good-looking couple. They just complement each other.  Posted by Hello

Phil and the contestants of The Amazing Race 5 at the Emmy's...Chip & Kim won the Amazing Race 5. Yay for them. Also, The Amazing Race got the Emmy for Best Reality-Competition Program for the second time in a row. The 6th installment of the Amazing Race begins next month. Coolness. Posted by Hello

The Queers at the Emmy's...they won the Emmy for Best Reality Program. Notice Carson's pink pants? Kyan and Jai, hummina hummina...though, I didn't see them accept their award? Did I miss that? Or it was never aired? Hmmm... Miss Manonica did you see? Posted by Hello

Yet another Survivor Hunk...caught parts of the preem of Survivor Vanuatu and this FBI agent named Brady Finta caught my eye. I might watch the show just for him. Shallow me. Yep, I could be like that. Gotta love beautiful men who make TV viewing such a fun time. I'm quite tempted to post Jason Lewis' Absolut Hunk pic but thought it might turn-off some people. Big time. A naked man with just the Absolut Vodka bottle covering him. Imagine that. I'll save that for next time. Or not. Hehehe. I'll just e-mail it to some of my friends for now. Posted by Hello
