Do to others as you would have them do to you. [Luke 6:31]
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. [Proverbs 3:5]
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. [Hebrews 11:1]

It's Your Birthday...

A birthday shoutout going out to SisterM, she's 27 today...wow...imagine that. She's the youngest in the family. A cry-baby [like me...]. An accident prone [was in the middle of a burning bed that my brother accidentally lit with a match back when she was a baby, fell from the stairs and had her leg cast, was hit by a tricycle back in elementary, she hit a concrete wall head-on while playing badminton, I'm not sure she had any in Dubai though...I hope and pray not.] Good with the graphics arts thingy. [that happens to be her line of work...] Likes to read, watch Korean series and US series, and currently, she's building her video/songs collection on her Ipod. I never thought that she'd [and my other sister] will be working outside the country. I always thought, we'd be doing that together, someday, somehow, we'd all be in one area again. I like to be close with them if possible. Someday, somehow. Happy birthday Lowy...

After the Ellen show, I watched One Hour Photo to kill time while waiting for American Idol on ABC5. Yes, it's a few years old movie, I still have about 30-40 movies that I have yet to watch on dvd and the said movie was one of them. Robin Williams was creepy good in it. Scary to think that our photo-guy might do the same as what he did. I liked the movie. Later tonight, I might watch Million Dollar Baby or Match point. Just catching up with my movie watching before I watch the current releases.

  • It's already a Thursday, bound to be a busy rush rush 2 days of work for us. I'm really glad that cousin Frank is now working for Uncle Boss. BIG help. We get to do things quicker now that we have help. I'm thankful. This week, we have to release 4x20 footer containers of resins, 2x20 footer containers of apple juice concentrate and 1x40 footer container of CPP Film [raw material used for packaging and stuff...], I hope and pray we all get to finish them by Friday to avoid storage charges on our client's end. Just have to get the job done.
  • Next week, it's a short work week since the Holy break is coming. All good. I'm looking forward to the break. Will have to clean the room and watch more movies. NG will have some days off too around the time, so, all good.
  • Have a fine one. God Bless.

    It's Getting Hot in Here...

Laney and I had dinner last Sunday at Burgoo at SM North Edsa's The Block. Laney had a yummy burger, I had some rice dish with chicken strips, corn kernels, sausage, mushroom and what not, it was a bit spicy but it was good. We shared our food. Wanted to take a pic of us together but she said she wasn't freshen up enough. Hee. And she told me what the MACRO [with the flower icon] function on my cam is for...it's for taking close-up pix...wheee. Something new I learned. It was nice seeing Laney again.

Like my digital clock? I DO!!! LOVE IT! I saw it on my way home last Wednesday just downstairs of the LRT Monumento station. I love the different colors. It's called MOODICARE digital clock. Might get one for my sisters since I know they will like it once they see the pix. Hee. It runs on 4 tripleA batteries and two other kind of batteries. Though, if you can use a 4.5volts adaptor too. Can you guess how much I got the clock for???

I got these blank CDs for a friend, he downloaded me a game that my dial-up connection won't be able to. I tried tho, I started downloading around midnight, then just left it and went to bed. When I woke up at 5am-ish, my connection was disconnected, as expected and I only got to download 20++MB out of 178MB. HAH! So, I asked for help/favor. Thanks Captain!!! Until I get that CD from you. I'm excited. A new game to play. I just finished Diner Dash 3 : Flo on the Go, my thanks to Pia for sending the game. Free games are good. I had Luxor 1 and 2 before, finished Luxor 1 but didn't get to play much of the sequel. The games on my computer right now are: Diner Dash 1-3, Mystery Case Files : Huntsville, Mystery Case Files : Prime Suspects, Wheel of Fortune, Bejeweled 2, Chainz 2, Dynomite, Solitaire, and some games I added for Nadine and Dylan are: Mummy Maze, Insaniquarium, Seven Seas. All good.

  • It's almost 3pm now. My chat with NG ended half an hour ago. He needs the sleep even if he was trying to stay awake, once the body wants rest, you just have to give in. Hee. I slept from 1am until about 11am today. All good. We started back on doing the mails this week, back to 20 mails each day of the week. It's quite funny crazee at times, coz whenever I reply around 9pm-ish or 10pm-ish my time, he'd also be starting to reply from his end, since he now reply from his day job in between breaks. It's all good so far. I think, I'm gonna be able to call him everyday now, just before he leaves for work. The PLDT Budget Card is the answer. Php100 for 30 minutes [3pesos per minute rate] And we only talk for a few minutes, just to say hi and what not. So, it works. A budget card lasts for a week to two for our daily weekday talk. Though, I don't get to talk to NG on the phone everyday since there are times, I'm not home by 7pm coming from work. Glad there are cheaper means to communicate nowadays. Sending a snail mail is much pricier than calling now no? Gotta love non-pricey stuff. I do.
  • If you're from the Philippines, I'm sure, you're looking forward for the long Holy Week break, I know I am. NG will have a break around the same time too. All good. It'll be starting April 5th [Maundy Thursday], 6th [Good Friday], 7th [Black Saturday], 8th [Easter Sunday/Nadine's] and 9th [Bataan Day/Tatay's birthday]...that's a long break...if I had the extra cash, I'd go away somewhere quiet...as if. Hee. I've never been out of town for Holy Week. Always at home.
  • The only thing I don't like is that it's really hot nowadays. But I know it is hotter in some other countries too. So, the heat we're experiencing right now is not the same in Africa or India no? I should stop complaining no? But it's human nature to complain. I should just keep mum about it. Hee. Like that will happen. I heard the phrase: "Ang init..." yesterday around the work place one too many times. I said it too. Mostly to myself. Sigh. I prefer the hot weather than rainy though, but I still complain about it. Hee.
  • Our washing machine FINALLY gave up on us last Wednesday. It's a 15++ years old Samsung machine. About time to have a new one. Soon. Might get one using a relative's card then will just pay it every month. I have to wash my jeans by hand later when the water comes back. And two weeks worth of undies to wash. I got lazy last week. Hee. To have someone wash your clothes nowadays will cost 300. I wanted to go that way this weekend but since Mom did most of their laundry, there is not really much left but jeans and what not. So, will just have to wash by hand. It's not that hard, used to do it back in the 90s, we sometimes don't get a person to wash our clothes. Just have to do what you have to do right? There's a thing called brush to help me in scrubbing since I can't possibly wash it by hand literally. Hee. Am I making sense or what?
  • Must go for now, will play DinerDash3 whilst I wait for the water to come back, then it's laundry time for me. Sounds exciting no? Wanna help?
  • Have a fine weekend. God Bless.

    Life As I Know It...

Luan, Me, Tin, Jenea and Nadine...

May kanya-kanyang mundo ang mga kapamilya ko...

The kiddies [Evan, Joss, Jelo, Nadine and Jenea] and the not-so-kiddies [Tin, Kuya Frank, Ate Vangie, SisterJ, Tito Freddie, Tita Leny, Tita Loida, Ate Volet, Me, Kuya Japs, AJ and Nanay] I can't imagine my life not having these people around me.

Tita Leny, Tito Freddie [they went back to Pennsylvania last Thursday morning, I didn't get to go to the airport but they told me she was crying lots...25 years...imagine that, I hope it will not take that long a time until we see her again...] and Tita Loida.

SisterJ wearing a walis type headband...she went back to Dubai last Thursday afternoon. My parents and I took her to the airport. Waited until she checked in and all, making sure that she didn't go over the weight limit of her luggage. Her flight was delayed when she texted me around 2pm-ish, though, good news was, she was bumped into business class. All goody. She got back to Dubai safe and sound.
  • Having family around makes life easier. I feel safe thinking about having people that will be on my side. Yes, we may not be wealthy and all, we go through the financial setbacks more than we want it to but at the end of the day, knowing that you have people that will love and care for you unconditionally is the thing that matters to me most.
  • I feel blessed that I get along with my family/relatives just fine. I can't imagine having a rift with any of them. Our family is not perfect, there are some people who don't get along, I pray that there will come a day that they will patch things up. I don't know the reason for their misunderstandings [and I really don't wanna know anymore...it's all in the past...] but I always pray that we all get along as one no? Wishful thinking but who knows really. Prayers work most often than we think they do. Just have to keep praying hard for that. I have faith.
  • It's 11:35pm right now on my monitor clock, I'm going to update the family tree in the coming days, I have recent pix of the family members now...I'm happy. Though, note to self: MUST TAKE A CLOSE UP SHOT of each person, next time.
  • That will be it for now. I can't wait for the long Holy Week break. Yeeha. More time to sleep. More time to chat with NG. More time to just do nothing or clean my room. Will see on that.
  • Have a fine day/afternoon/evening. God Bless.

    27th...

  • 27th month with NG today...one of many more he said. I'm happy. He's happy. We're both happy. That counts right?
  • We do a few things that get on each other's nerves but we do them mostly to annoy each other, that's something to smile about.
  • Not easy being in a long-distance relationship. Tell me about it.
  • I'm not saying it's impossible, it's not just that easy.
  • It makes me wanna go ayoko na at times.
  • And ask why others have it easy [in being physically together and all] and we don't...
  • Then I think about how NG has been a blessing in my life, even if he's in another part of the world and it becomes okay.
  • SIGH. Keeping it real. Keeping the faith.
  • Have a fine day to you. Must get going, early day today at work. I'm not complaining. Hee. Or am I???
  • God Bless.

    We Get By...

  • ... with friends, family and God.
  • We just have to keep it real and not lose faith.
  • Everything and anything that we're going through right NOW, it shall/will [like almost always] pass.
  • A friend sent me an email that made me realize about something that is a huge deal in my life.
  • I forget that relationships [and everything that goes with it] is a WE and US thingy. It's not just a me thingy anymore. I have to remember that always.
  • Being a grown-up is not easy but we get by no?
  • I turned 31 last month. I'm a thirty-something person. Hee. OMG!!! 10 years ago, I was in a very dark place. Not anymore in the recent years. I'm blessed. I know that.
  • It's been a busy work week for me. All good. Better than nothing. I know, I feel like complaining but really, it's better that I have a job [that I sometimes complain about...heee] than none at all.
  • Last Friday, we went to my Tito Romy's house for the birthday dinner of Tita Susan. Yummy food. They live in Muntinlupa AND we're from Novaliches, QC, far I know, 2 hours ++ travel time. All worth it though. I think, the last time I was there was back in 1999/2000 when my favorite [AT THAT TIME] radio station 103.5K-lite, it was during their Y2Klite thingy. Spent the night at my Tito Romy's house after the said event. Here are a few pix from last Friday's dinner.
  • SisterJ, Tin, Tita Loida and Tita Leny.

UncleBoss, AJ, Nadine, SisterJ and Dylan.

    Nadine, SisterJ, Tin and Dylan.

Tita Loida, Nanay, Tita Leny, Tita Susan.

    Tito Freddie and Tita Leny.

This drink is actually okay for me.

Tita Loida, SisterJ, Tita Susan, Me and Tin.

Me, my cousins JB and Tin, SisterJ and cousin Luan; seated from left: my brotherdear, cousin JR and his gurlfriend Anna.

  • Can you spot the difference? Heee.

    October 1, 2006

  • I asked NG to pose on cam yesterday and these are the ones that I can share...heee.

  • It's been 2 weeks since NG was here. Time is really amazing. You wait for it and then, once it's here, it just fly by so fast. My Tita Leny and SisterJ will be going back to the States and Dubai [respectively] on Thursday the 15th.
  • Here's hoping this week will be an okay work week for you and me. God Bless.

    Multiplied and More...

  • I made a Multiply site for NG and me, it's at http://wehavefaith.multiply.com. Though, knowing him, I'm not sure he'll be tinkering with that site much [if at all]. Hee. I just got inspired from seeing a friend's multiply site and thought, why not give it a spin. When I signed in, I found out that I have an existing account to Multiply already since 2004. I just never got around to updating it. Now, it's a brand new site. I was surprised that it was easy to use. The site is tied up with Flickr, Yahoo, Livejournal, Blogger, that's quite convenient.
  • There are so many free websites nowadays, wherein you can publish your photos, your words and what not in an instant. You don't have to know HTML or CSS to make one. I used to code a few of the websites I made before. Gone are those days. Just find one website to suit your needs and voila, you'll be published in a matter of minutes. It's all good. Free stuff is always good for me.
  • For photo-sharing, I have an account with Flickr, Ringo and YahooPhotos.
  • For photo-hosting for the icons on my blog, I have Photobucket.
  • I also have MySpace [it's more of a fan-networking site, it all started to support Jamie Walters, I have Zach Braff, Jann Arden, Tal Bachman, Darius Danesh, Jakob Dylan, Ari Hest on myspace "friends" list. Hee. If I had more time, I would search for my other faves and try and add them to my list.
  • For networking/friends, I have Friendster.
  • I get my mails via Yahoo, Gmail and Hotmail.
  • I use Yahoo Messenger for instant messaging, Windows Live Messenger as a backup, I also have AOL Instant Messenger for my cousins who uses AOL, but I always forget to log in.
  • I have existing accounts from YahooGeocities for my website [that I don't get to update for years now], for my Jomari Yllana site, for a friend's birthday site I made a few years back.
  • For my blogs, I have Blogger, Livejournal and Easyjournal.
  • So much free stuff online no? Wish I thought of making one of them sites. That would have been a cool thing. When someone asks you, what do you do for a living...you can just say..."I invented post-its..." or to that effect. Hee.
  • I'm sure I have signed up for message boards and forums that I never get to visit anymore. Hee.
  • Anyhoo, must go for now, here's another pic taken back in the 80s. Hee. My siblings and my cousin Luan. Little people us. Have a fine Sunday and the week to come. God Bless.
