Do to others as you would have them do to you. [Luke 6:31]
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. [Proverbs 3:5]
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. [Hebrews 11:1]

  • Random pic: My sisters with Gunther @ Central Perk, Dubai back in 2006. According from Wikipedia:
Six degrees of separation refers to the idea that, if a person is one "step" away from each person he or she knows and two "steps" away from each person who is known by one of the people he or she knows, then everyone is no more than six "steps" away from each person on Earth. Several studies, such as Milgram's small world experiment, have been conducted to empirically measure this connectedness. While the exact number of links between people differs depending on the population measured, it is generally found to be relatively small. Hence, six degrees of separation is somewhat synonymous with the idea of the "small world" phenomenon.
Small world indeed, all I know is, if that theory is true, I'm less than 6 "steps" away from the FRIENDS gang. Hee.

  • Technology doesn't scare me but this image does. That could happen in the future though.

  • Rafael Nadal

    James Blake
  • US Open, the last tennis grandslam of the year started last Monday the 27th and I only realized it when I saw in on Yahoo news a few days ago. DOINK. Go Blake! Go Nadal! If it were to me, will let all the guys wear those muscle shirts. Hee.
  • I got this text message from my HS friend, I thought I'd share it with you:
There are 3 days in which we must not worry:
YESTERDAY, because we can't change it. TOMORROW, because we can't control it. And TODAY, because its in GOD's hands.
  • We may have a fine September.
  • Anyhoo, must get going for now...let's keep the faith...need it daily...God Bless.

    Laces...

  • I got the shoe laces pics from my HS friend Wawi. It's worth sharing, so, I'm sharing them to you. I got to do the Ladder and the Loopback but I can't do the Zipper. I will try again though. It looks nice.
  • It's 3am-ish on an early Sunday right now. I am not sleepy yet so, I'm still online, been playing bingo at pogo.com. I thought, an update here would be nice.
  • Another long weekend for me, Monday is yet another non-working special Holiday here in the Philippines. It's National Heroes Day, which actually falls on a Sunday but for some reason, I think, they made a law out of it. I'm not that familiar. All I know is, I've no work on Monday. Extra day to be in bed and get more rest. Hopefully.
  • This month has been a slow steady month work-wise, all good. I'm not complaining. It has been busy the past couple of months anyway. Slower work days are fine with me.
  • Last week, I created an e-mail address for my mom. She now has her own email address. She's still learning but I'm sure she'll get the hang of it as time goes by. Nowadays, she can do other things when in front of the computer aside from playing solitaire. Hee.
  • This is my favorite cousin Nadine, back when she was 2-3 years old, I think. She's 8 now and just last week, she got her own cellphone. Hee. It was her sister AJ's old one and was handed down to her. She's been texting my sisters in Dubai everyday and she's even texting me whenever she has a question instead of just calling me via the landline. Funny gurl. She's growing fast and this pic just puts a smile on my face.
  • On Friendster, found a friend from High School, it was good having contact again. Even found my crush too. Hee. Internet is great in things like that no? Making the world a smaller place. Bridging the gap. I'm still trying to find a friend I had back in grade school.
  • Anyhoo, I think, will go for now. I'm getting sleepy. Here's to a better day for you and me. I'm leaving you with this passage:
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. [John 14:1 NIV]
  • Thanks for the time in reading. God Bless.

    Sino S'ya???...

I got this from Ederic who posted this on his blog and I suggest you go check out Tingog.Com as well. And you be the judge. It's bad enough that we get discriminated by other nations but when it's a fellow Filipino who discriminates us, it's a different story all together. May God shine some light into her life, she so needs it right now since a lot of Filipinos are cursing and wishing for ill things to happen to her. Spread it if you want to. I was sleepy before I read the article, now I'm not. Damn. Just click on the image to see the bigger version. God Bless.

    It Takes Two...

  • It's a Monday and I'm at home. Another one of them Holidays here in the Philippines. We are so spoiled in having numerous Holidays. Only in the Philippines as the saying goes. A friend mentioned that she heard that next Monday could be another Holiday too. She ain't sure but who knows. We all get Holidays for different reasons. I just feel for those people who work with no work, no pay deal.
  • I started saving beginning of the year. My savings for January and half of February, I used when NG was here, I took care of the pesos. He charged the rest to his card. I know my share wasn't as much as what he spent here but that's the least I could do to be fair in the situation right? He went home with his dollar bills still untouched. Which was good. Even if he insisted [one too many times] that he should have it exchange to peso, I didn't falter in that and I told him I had enough to cover whatever that may need to be taken care of in pesos. I still remember the look he gave me each time I tell him it's okay. Some guys just seem to be uncomfy whenever the girl gets to pays no? Not like I didn't let him pay right? Not just in cash. I just did what I thought was fair at that time.
  • I continued saving March to June. I was doing good then came July. Started with me spending on a concert ticket [for Switchfoot] then some other expenses, the usual toiletries and what not. When you have extra money, you suddenly have things to buy. Hee. My savings for July was history. Though, I didn't feel bad about it because I made Nadine and AJ happy when I took care of the shirts they wanted at Surplus Shop. Seeing them happy at that moment is just something money can't buy. Nadine chose the shirt she got. Funny gurl, 8 years old and she chooses what she'll wear already. Treat them for a Sbarro dinner. It's a good feeling to be able to make them happy in my own little way. I know it wasn't much but still, I know, I made them happy at that time. I told myself, I'd just scratched July off.
  • I'm saving for August. That hasn't been touched. Though, last Monday the 13th, I just felt like I needed something to cheer me up [being with EBC the night before helped a bunch though] had a not-so-good weekend with NG at that time and I haven't been getting much sleep. Felt pretty down if you ask me. PMS alert is what it was. Hee. Men will never understand it, that feeling every woman feels each time they have their period or when it's approaching. It's like nothing can't cheer you up. Hee. You're aware that you don't have a huge problem but the feeling of being down is there, for some reason. I can't explain it further it's just a feeling I get each month. I think, I've asked my friends about that and they feel the same too. Right gurls?
  • So, I asked permission from Uncle Boss that I'm taking Monday off, had to run an errand in the morning. Then I made my way to Trinoma with the thought of making myself somewhat cheery when I get home. I made a mental check list of the things that I needed [wanted] to buy. Pants, sneakers, shirt[s]. I looked around for shoes first but didn't really find something that I liked and when I did find something that I liked they didn't have it in my size.
  • In the process of me looking for things that I might like, I got to a shirt store called BSX. And I found this for SisterM because I know she just hearts Mr. Miller. There were no I heart Orlando or Leonardo shirts.

And got this for SisterJ, I wanted the same shirt but again, none on my size, they run out and they're not sure when they'll have new stocks from HongKong.

I looked around some more, there were nice vintage looking shirts at ARTWORK but again, the sizes were either small or big on me. Boohoo. The saleslady was insisting on me getting the bigger size, I told her no even if I liked the shirt that says GOOD MUSIC SAVES PEOPLE. She was really insistent on me getting other designs but I only liked that one. Then finally, I found this shirt from American Boulevard and once I knew they had one on my size, it was a done deal.
I got this pants from BENCH, they have a huge store there in Trinoma. It was fun looking around. I should have taken pictures.

And I liked this shoes and got it. Must be the color combination. Hee. It was on sale too btw. So, all in all, good deal right? I remember back in Elementary when my Tatay was working in Jersey, he used to send us PONY shoes.

  • Also, I got me a few undies, I don't know why I bought them, I know I have a lot as it is. Though not as much as NurseA has. Hee. I thought, it would cheer me up at that time. I kinda regret it because I could have bought shirts or what not instead. Whatever. I got some for NG too. He told me I didn't had to and he will pay me back for it, whether I like it or not. Hah. But he does like the idea of me buying him stuff. Though, he said, he'd pay for it, I'll just choose for him. We were suppose to go undies shopping the last day of his visit last February but he got a bit under the weather and was crabby cranky like that. Hee. Maybe, next time, definitely next time, I know my friends will know I'd enjoy that. I like men in undies. I'm stopping now before I say anything more.
  • Before I went home, I passed by a massage spa place near our area and had an hour body massage. Yes. That did good to my body. When I got home. I went straight to bed and zzzz. Been planning to have a massage for the longest time but didn't happen until last Monday. I want to have it again soon. Maybe, by the end of the month.
  • I sometimes forget that I'm not the only one feeling the sadness of being in a long-distance relationship, NG told me this on chat that Monday: Till then please forgive the cranky nights and what not, I get fussy cause of the space between just the same..., he also said, he just doesn't tell me because it will just make it even sadder. Sigh. I really don't recommend long-distance relationships. Just imagine how many families/relationships have broken up because one or both parties can't take not having someone near them. Sigh indeed. Just have to have faith yes?
  • That will be it for now. Have a fine week. God Bless.

    Me = Grateful...

  • It has been a rainy week, still raining as I type this entry. We have another storm in the country I believe. It rained all day yesterday too. Good thing, I didn't have a hard time getting home. Traffic was light.
  • Yesterday on my way to the LRT station from the South Port Zone, the jeepney I was in was held up by two guys with knives. When they declared the hold up and showed their knives and aimed it at a few people demanding for mobile phones [NOT money but phones], it seems surreal, I was unaware at first since I was on the innermost part of the jeepney [behind the driver], and one holdupper was saying: cellphone nyo, dali.... I was reaching for my phone since the guy beside me already gave his and for some reason, the holdupper didn't get to me. I guess, they were running out of time.
  • It happened so fast, must have been under 2 minutes. All I know is, at that time, the fear is really overwhelming. I just kept praying that they will not hurt anyone inside the jeepney. They didn't, thank God.
  • The lady across me, didn't budge though, she didn't do anything, she did look at the holduppers but she didn't reach for her bag to give them anything, she later said that her faith is so strong and she knew God was on our side. She said, we just have to be grateful we didn't get hurt. When I got off the jeepney, she said God Bless and I told her the same.
  • Once, at the LRT train station, I was still in a bit of a shock. I even went to the side of the train going to the opposite direction on where I was suppose to go. Good thing, I realized it while waiting for the train on the platform. Hee. I texted my friends just to release my fear and gratefulness that I was okay after that.
  • Back in 2003, I was held-up inside a tricycle going to the North Port Zone, my phone was taken with me a few 20 peso bills. I didn't have a lot of money at that time since I was just going there to get some documents from the dispatcher of our hired trucking service. Grateful that time too. That guy had a knife too, aimed at my side. Oh well.
  • I am grateful to God that he didn't allow those guys to hurt any of the passengers aboard that jeepney yesterday. Those phones that the holduppers got can be replaced but the fear and trauma will be with us for quite some time. Just have to keep thy faith stronger each given day. We can never be too careful. We try to be but there are really bad people in this world who doesn't care about anything else but themselves.
  • On a lighter note, it's a long weekend for me. No work on Monday. Another one of them many Holidays here in the Philippines. We are so spoiled in having a lot of non-working Holidays. All good, need all the bed time I can get.
  • May you have a good day/afternoon/evening. Keep the faith and God Bless.

    The Secret is Out There...

Check out Post Secret, new secrets come out every Sunday.

  • Heys, it's 8:51am on a Monday and I'm still home. Yes, taking the first half of the day off. I need to do some errands. Actually, just one errand. Hee. I have to go to the Post Office and mail the forms back to NG. I got it last Friday. It's basically just one form, only in 4 copies. Just the basics like Name, Birthdate, Home address, Parent's name, so it was no biggie. When NG filed that petition thingy last August, it cost him $170, nowadays, he told me that the price for that went way up to $445, if I remember it right. He's glad he filed it before the fee went up like that. Ditto on that.

  • Got this book yesterday. It's been a while since she released a book. I'm still a fan though I don't collect and keep her weekly newspaper columns anymore. Hee. I don't know where to put them anymore. I've had quite a run of those TWISTED columns back when it was published in TODAY. I still have them somewhere. I thought of making a website for her before but that didn't pan out. Her blog can be found at jessicarulestheuniverse.com.

  • How can a guy be this sexy? Smiling or not. Damnation!!! He's the reason why I watch Grey's Anatomy. Eye candy all the way baby. Hee.

  • New Absolut Pears!!! My faves are still Vanilia, Apeach and the regular blue vodka. I think, it was last February since I last had a drink. Do I miss it? Hmmm. Sometimes but not too much. The Pears bottle would be a nice add to SisterJ's collection.

  • My favorite gal Drew on the cover of JANE March 2007. Years ago, I used to look for back issues of this magazine each and every month. I don't buy the latest issues since it was pricey for me. I wait for a few months then buy them when they are under 100 pesos each. I found this last Friday on my way home. I wasn't planning on buying but it was Drew on the cover. So, I did. Hee. She was the first cover girl for JANE when it premiered years ago. I love her. I think she's cool.
  • Ohkay, I think, I have to go for now. Need to do that one errand. I'm leaving you with an excerpt from today's Dailybread that is really comforting to know:
If you are feeling poor and powerless today, you can still be glad. You can have something of far more value: a debt-free relationship with God.
  • Have a fine work or school week to you. God Bless.

    WTF...

  • Here at the Bureau. First half of the day was non-operational BECAUSE the president is here. Knowing how people [us, our client's reps here at the Bureau] are rushing since it's the last day of the work week.
  • I don't get it, what kind of a person paralyzes half of the work day just because of the visit. That's half a day worth of duties/taxes that is supposed to come in for the Bureau. What do they care right?
  • More people are rushing to get their work done today because last Monday a power transformer blew up and it wasn't fixed until Tuesday late afternoon. The work that I was to supposed to finish last Monday before lunch time was finished Tuesday afternoon.
  • Last night, work ended around 7pm for me. Had to finish one task, so I will only have to finish the other today. I was hoping to finish it before lunch time so I could go home early. Oh well.
  • I don't like the powers-that-be right now.
  • Anyhoo, now, I have to wait until the lunch break is over then hoping to finish my work before 5pm. Here's hoping for a better weekend. My work week is not a good one. God Bless.

Dispel the darkness with new hope
And help us rise above despair.

YOU WON'T STUMBLE IN THE DARK IF YOU WALK IN THE LIGHT OF GOD'S WORD.

    Found...

  • Another weekend once again and as always, I am all for it. I've been having a hard time sleeping the past few weeks...I know rather I feel tired but once I am in bed, sleep just won't go my way. Last night [okay it was around 2am-ish], I started watching this movie Caffeine, American actresses like Mena Suvari and Katherine Heigl have English [I think] accents in this indie film. I fell asleep in the middle of the movie, I finished it when I woke up this morning.
  • I knew I was really sleepy tired because I left the dvd player on and I only realized it when I continued to watch the movie. Doink to me. I did turn off the TV though, so, at least, that's less electricity consumed for being sleepy. I always make it a point to turn off things when not in use. It's a conscious thingy. Even if I'm not in my own house, I notice things like that. Hee. I keep quiet most of the time. I get on NGs case on that, coz whenever we're chatting, he turns on his AC when he gets home, and it's not just in a room where he's in, then his tv is on while we're chatting. His music is on as well. He told me though that his electric bill is on a fixed rate [$70 if I remember it right] each month, whether he consume a lot of electricity or not, he still pays the same. So, I guess, it's ok to have things turned on even if you're not using it? It still gets to me though.
  • Our electric bill for last month was Php5,680. I live with my parents and my cousin Alfred. We have a fridge, washing machine, an AC at my parent's room, shower heater [that apparently, I'm the only one who uses each morning...hee], computer, 2 electric fans [used to be 3 but mine died on me, so, each night, I use my parent's fan once their AC is on, need a replacement soon], 2 tv and dvd players, and we have the egg incubator [24/7]. Still, it's a big amount yes? Our house rent is only Php5000 each month. And I don't pay these things, my sisters does, I only get to cover the phone/dsl and I give some money to Mom each week. Not much but I try to give more when I have more. I'm guessing, you get conscious with things like consumed electricity when you're not the one who pays for it? Knowing how not easy it is to earn cash. Heck, it gets to me whenever I see street lights still on each morning. Hee.
  • Continuing this post after my chat with NG, which kinda ended in a not-so-good mood, the downside of being in a long distance relationship. Arrrghhh. You can't whack them in the head to get your thoughts across. Hee, I'm kidding about that, I'm not a violent person. I mean, being in a regular [same timezone] relationship is tough enough, how much more if you're on different ones. He's sleepy. You just woke up. Or vice versa. But we've been doing this for almost 3 years now, so, we know it happens. We can't always have good moments right? I'm glad the not-so-good moments seldom happens. It's a bitch when it does. Tomorrow is yet another day. Taking is one day at a time.

  • Do you have a Myspace account? I do. I started it last year to support Jamie Walters and some artists. I took that page down and made a new one 2 weeks ago. And I'm glad I went back. I found out that my cousins/nephews/nieces are on there. It's a good way to keep in touch with them. One of them even have a myspace meant for her fans. She's a calendar gurl. If your nice to me, I might give her public myspace account to you. i noticed too that most people in the USA prefer Myspace than Friendster.

  • I've had my Friendster profile the longest, most of my the people that I met in person are on there. Recently, I found [or they found me] people from Dataline [the AMA College Paper I was a briefly a part of], I'm happy about that. My former EIC is on my list now.

  • I have a Multiply page too, I like having it to share pix and music. A friend uploaded the audio books of Harry Potter 1-3. I have downloaded it, I just have to transfer them to my Ipod. Maroon5's latest was uploaded by a friend as well, it's actually better than the album itself since, she had other songs that are Bonus tracks on different versions of the album. I'm waiting for someone to upload KT Tunstall's album. NG has a copy for awhile but it's still unwrapped. Will just have to wait, no point in buying a CD which he already has.
  • Speaking of CDs that I have. Found out I have 116 in total, I made a list for NG so, he could cross out the ones he already have. So, I won't have to bring it with me if/when I get to go to where he's at. If you find something you like, do tell and I'll upload them via Multiply. Music is good yes? It can be very calming at times. Or if you don't want to talk to anyone, just have your earphones on. Hee.

  • Randomness. This was taken New Year's Eve 2000 with my family and my cousin Nadine. We looked happy yes? Wish to have a family pic where we're all complete again. Someday soon.
  • Okays, I think, that will be it for now. I have to get ready for Doctora's birthday dinner. We're dining at Everything at Steak [clever...hee], I just am happy that I'll be seeing them again. Will post pix later. Have a fine day to you. God Bless.
