The Age of Pure Innocence...

The Age of Pure Innocence...

This was taken during my 3rd birthday...that's my dear brother trying to blow my candles. If only we could stay at that age where we don't have to worry about anything and everything. Eat. Play. Sleep. Eat some more. Play some more. Sleep some more. That's our routine when we were three. Those were the days.

Sigh of Relief ...

Sigh of Relief...

  • It turns out, my dear brother and his mother-in-law got in an argument. My sister-in-law didn't elaborate. I'm guessing, my dear brother didn't take it too well. He's staying here with us for awhile. I'm sure it'll be ok soon. I hope so.
  • It's not drug-related. Such a relief.
  • Thank you God.
  • Thank you to those who prayed for my dear brother.

    The Places We Have Come To Fear The Most ...

    The Places We Have Come To Fear The Most...

  • My dear brother is here, I think his wife asked him to move out. I asked [yeah, I actually ASKED...] him what they fought about and he just kept quiet. I'm not good with serious issues but I have to at least try, right? My dear brother is a good guy. With a weak self-control. He's had a history of drug-related problems. [He's the reason why my parents went back home from the States back in 95]. I just wonder what he did this time for my sister-in-law to ask him to move out. We've been helping him get out of trouble. We can't help him unless he want to help himself. He's 27 years old. He knows what is right from wrong. I feel helpless regarding this. If it's drug-related again. Man, he strayed again. Will he ever get better? Will he ever help himself. I pray to God he will.
  • The people who can truly make you feel bad [in an instant] are the ones you love. Why is that?
  • On a lighter note, I have a photo-blog, check it out at Picture Perfect
  • Please include my brother in your prayers.

    Yay-ness ...

  • To all Bloggers out there, I recommend downloading Hello, real easy for publishing your pix to your blog. I'm still getting familiar with the program. Give it a try.
  • Bought So-Called Chaos last night. I like it so far.
  • Treated my sisters to a pizza, spaghetti and chicken wings dinner courtesy of Yellow Cab. DQ ice-cream for dessert.
  • It's 7am-ish on a Sunday morning, what am I doing up this early? Well, my sister and I had to spent a few more hours at my cousins house 'til the sun came up because the guard locked the subdivision gate. And he wasn't on his post when we were supposed to go home at around 1am. Roaming or roving? Whatever. I slept around 3am-ish til about 6am-ish. Now, I'm awake. Will be zzzzing in a bit.
  • I haven't done any laundry this weekend. It's the weather, it's making me lazy. Good thing, I did a few loads a few days ago. I'll probably do a load or two later. Depends on my mood.
  • Got in touch with a friend from Elementary. Yay. Looking forward to meeting her soon.

    To Fall or Try NOT to Fall...

  • It rained Monday. Thank you God. We needed that. I had to buy an umbrella on my way home. It's a big umbrella. And it's not those clickable ones.
  • I slipped and fell on our kitchen floor last Sunday noontime. Darn, my cousin put wax on the floor. Slippery floor. My left butt-cheek hurts. I tripped or fall [or try not to] quite often. But I REMEMBER the other times all too well.
    >>5th grade: was playing chinese garter with friends, my turn to do that thing that you do with the game, jumped and hit my head on the cement, again, I slipped on a yet another slippery floor, I don't like slippery floors;
    >>6th grade: riding a bike with a friend behind me, went too fast, turned a curve, didn't notice sand-trails on the street..bam. I bruised my arms and the side of my face;
    >>After highschool: on the LRT steps, tried to avoid a wet patch, miscalculated my step, and bam, you get the idea right? Good thing, there weren't a lot of people who witnessed that. Darn;
    >>2002: I was carrying Nadine [she was only 2 years old at that time] and a plastic container of Chicken-Pork Adobo on my right hand. We were on our way to their house [3 blocks away from our place] and I didn't see the street hump, I again, tripped, fell, and luckily Nadine didn't get hurt or anything, I skinned my knee [plus a patch of cloth torn from my jean shorts, I still remember that day whenever I see that hole in my jean shorts] and bruised my arm and the side of my upper lip. Ouch. Pork-Adobo went everywhere. Nadine cried. I was really THANKFUL that she didn't get hurt that day. I guess, I must have used my arms when I landed, she was underneath me, but I didn't fell on top of her. It's hard to explain. Scary moment for me. Nadine still remembers that incident whenever we pass that street-hump;
    >>Last month: Walking towards my workplace, I see the blindguy with his walking stick. I stood on the right and waited for him to get passed me. When I thought it was ok to go forward, I did, and my feet met his walking stick, I fell, hurt my knee and my leg. I think now, I have a bad knee. Nobody saw it, well, unless the blind guy could see. It was actually a funny scene coz when I told it to my sisters and cousins, they laughed, even Nadine laughed. I just got hurt in the process.
  • Found out last night, we'll be spending the weekend in Pagsanjan, Laguna over the weekend for my Tita's birthday. I haven't been in that boathouse for years now. Last time was back in the early 90s. I wanna go. I think I am going. I'm gonna miss doing the laundry. Not really. I'll probably have a head start on Wednesday or Thursday.
  • Work is busy this week.

    This and That...

  • OHKAY, I've been out of blogger for awhile, they have a new layout. Coolness. Very nice. I like it very much.
  • Quite a number of stuff has happened since my last post. Here are some that comes to mind right now...
  • FRIENDS ended. [sigh] Saw the finale last Saturday with 3 of my friends. It was a bittersweet finale. I will surely miss my FRIENDS. 10 years. I still have to see the other 17 episodes of the current and last season. You can tell that I love the show with my layout alone right?
  • ETC [Entertainment Central] cable channel started airing when FRIENDS ended last last Friday [Thursday in the US] and what made it so good for me is that they showed The Tonight Show with Jay Leno with the FRIENDS gang. Awww.
  • One Tree Hill and The O.C. are added to my TV must-see shows.
  • Craig Sheffer is in One Tree Hill, he's in his early 40s now but I most remember him in the 80s movie Fire with Fire [with Virginia Madsen], it was a fave of mine back then. Also, Moira Kelly is in it too, I lovelike her as an actor. And the guy who plays Nathan is mighty fine too.
  • The 7th and final season of Buffy started two weeks ago. Yeah. I love that show as well. New season of The Practice starts next week.
  • The third [and way delayed] season of Six Feet Under will start this month too.
  • Of course, there's still American Idol, Scrubs, ED [replays for the longest time], Smallville, Oprah
  • It's a merry month of May for my TV viewing. I just have to make my TV schedule work. Thank God for replays on ETC and StarWorld.
  • Oh yeah, I voted last May 10. I went to the voting place quarter to noon. The right time to vote coz not a lot of people were there. It was just me and 2 other voters in my assigned precint [sp?]. Though, I must say they should be more strict with how the voting is done. First, I was asked for my name. I told them my name. They looked for it on their list. They found it. Gave me a ballot form. They made me put a right-thumbmark on it. Then I seated and listed my votes. I gave them my accomplished form. They folded then put it in the box. Then one lady put an indelible ink on my right index finger. That was it. They didn't asked for my identification or let me sign anything. It was my first time to vote. I find them very lax on how they go about the voting process. It's too easy for others to vote using other people's name. The country we live in.
  • Saw Van Helsing that day too. HUGH JACKMAN. He's one of the most good looking actors around. The movie was kinda gory at a few scenes. Kate Beckinsale's Romanian accent didn't work for me. I was surprised to see Will Kemp in the movie. First saw him on the GAP print ads that came out in 2002. He's also a British ballet dancer. Hummina Hummina. My favorite scene from the movie was when Van Helsing was dressed [or lack of it] like Tarzan. Loincloth and Hugh fit together. His wife is one lucky lady.
  • Ohkay, that's it for now. I'm off to Zzzzland.
  • Here's a quote I got from my Beliefnet Daily Inspirationals: The world is full of people looking for spectacular happiness while they snub contentment. - Doug Larson
