Do to others as you would have them do to you. [Luke 6:31]
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. [Proverbs 3:5]
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. [Hebrews 11:1]

I Miss Doing This...

It's been some time since I posted on here. Facebook games took most of my online time. ;) I haven't forgotten this blog. I will always have this blog, me thinks. This is a place I can just go on and on about anything and everything. I hope to get more updates on here. We will see. If you're reading this. Thank you for your time. God Bless.

Blackout...

My crush for this guy started when I was still in HS, that's quite a long time ago, and I still have this high school girl type crush whenever I see a recent photo of him. He was the Bench undie model for years until he got "overweight" and lost his right [if you can say that] to be the underwear model for Bench. Nowadays, it's Jon Avila, Dingdong Dantes [my friend said he kinda look like Zoolander whenever he poses...], Rafael Rossell who dons the latest undies for Bench.

Last Friday night, Bench had it's every other year denim/underwear show in the Philippines. If I was still there, I KNOW I would have been there to see that. Jomari is not as underwear ad worthy as 10 years ago, but he still and will always be my Bench undie guy. SIGH. He'll turn 32 next month. I should update the website I made for him me thinks. I've been saying that for the longest time. I just might. If I don't get too lazy. I got the images from the Team Kapamilya Multiply group, click on the link to see more pix from the Blackout Denim/Underwear show. I miss buying stuff from BENCH, they have a limited online store as of the moment, still not the same as being inside the store and being surrounded by the colorful undies. I lovelike undies on men. Bow. Don't ask. It just how it is. Hee.

My EBC friends...missing them...this was taken when Slutty Nurse [2nd from left, I don't remember how she became the "slutty nurse" coz she's really not, I think, we got it from FRIENDS...I don't remember for sure] had a recent vacay in the Philippines. The lucky dude in the pic is Neo.

Eeee, Ada aka Slutty Nurse, Miss Gwynnie and Doctora aka Nerdy Nurse [she recently passed the nursing exams...we now have two nurses in the group...CONGRATS again Doctora Nurse...your being studious and incommunicado during your review months really paid off...a mini wave for you...whooo]. I miss our VS [vodka session] gurls. Not fun to drink by myself. Maybe, I'll drink tonight.

I have been playing this game UNO!!!!!! My cousin Nadine and I used to play this card game back when I was still in the Philippines, now they have a computer version of the famous card game. Wheee. I wish it's an online game where you can play against real people though, that would really be FUN.

  • Been here in O for 2 months now...where did the time go? What has changed? I definitely gained weight. I haven't been eating much but the lack of activity [like walking a lot back when I was still working] on a daily basis could be the reason for my gain weight. I need a weighing scale, NG promised me one. I'm not overly conscious about it but I know how not easy it is to lose weight, I never really tried, I just played badminton a lot a few years and that's where it all started. I miss playing badminton. Who wants to play versus me? I'm not good at it but I can hit the ball when need to. Hee. I wake up at 5:45am every weekday, the same time as NG gets up. Then just do whatever is needed to do during the day. My computer is always on, just on standby until someone from home gets online and started chatting with me. Had a long chat conference with two of my friends yesterday, must have been more than 5 hours. So many subjects have been talked about. We even tried voice chat. Ain't technology cool? Yes, it is.
  • I went to the mall again today, not much time though, I was there for only two hours because had to get home before NG gets here since they keys were with me. Saw one skirt that I actually really liked. It was white, AND I'm not a fan of white clothing but for some reason, I liked it instantly. Might go back to get it. It was on sale too, so, it's like, coolness.
  • It's Saturday night, NG's night to unwind [loud tunes + drinking his Yukon Jack], so, I'm here in the living room, unwinding with him in the other room, I can hear the tunes LOUD and CLEAR out here even with the door closed. It's loud and I don't like it but that's how he unwinds AND knowing how a creature of habit he is, he will lose his mind if he don't get that each weekend. Hee. It's all about compromise yes? We have so many things to discover from each other, even if we've been together [long distance] since December 2004, we still have a lot of things to discover [both good and bad] about each other. An Aunt told me about something she read about this guy who's had a successful and lasting relationship, the guy said, you must have the 3 Cs: Commitment, Communication & Compromise. Will just have to keep that in mind for now yes? Hee. Sounds easy but it could be tricky.
  • Must go and play my game for now...and I think, I'd have a few glasses of AbDew or AbCran-apple. Have a good day. God bless.

    What? A Blog? From me?...

I wish I could sign. Both images from Post Secret.

  • Something To Do...got this from my archive...thought I'd update it a bit...

Ten Years Ago: The year was 1998. I was 22. Started working for Uncle Boss if memory serves me right. Litemail was getting active as the days go by.

Five Years Ago: 2003. Attended my 10-year HS dinner/reunion. It was nice seeing some of my batchmates again. Even saw some guys who grew up nicely. Hee.

One Year Ago: April 2007. Not much going on. Keeping the long distance relationship going with NG. Nadine turned 8. Tatay turned 61.

Last month: March 2008. Had my medical examination for the visa interview requirement. It wasn't fun. Took two days. Been sick for almost a week for some reason that I had to go to the doctor for a check-up a week before my medical examination. Thank God it wasn't something major. I don't like being sick. Sigh. It's not fun to be in bed all day/night. SisterM was here for a month-long, much-needed, much-deserved vacation. Happy month.

Yesterday: Woke up from NG's text message. He was bummed that he had to take an hour extra at his 2nd job coz two people didn't show up. Chat was postponed because he didn't set the alarm for him to wake up for our chat. Times when I wish that I'm not in a long-distance relationship. Sucks at times. When you want to be there for someone but you can't since you're apart. Sucks. Big time. Sigh. I distracted myself from feeling sad about that fact by doing my weekend chores: handwashing my undies and ironing my clothes. Played computer games too. Napped in the afternoon. It was a lazy Sunday for me.

  • This is the last week of April 2008. Where did the months go? Why does it feel fast yet it's slow at the same time? Am I making sense? I have a tummy ache right now. Does drinking coffee makes you do #2? Listening to David Cook's version of ALWAYS BE MY BABY on loop. [LOVE the version...] It's 3am-ish and I'm still awake. This is one of them days. Monday blues. I have somewhere to be today. Might miss work or the first half of it. Good thing it's a light work week as far as I know. I went to the dentist last weekend, had some work done, cost almost 20000 pesos. Yikes. The money I saved wasn't enough, had to borrow from my sisters. What else? Oh, I found out I can connect my Nokia6300 phone to my computer. Yay. I was able to transfer songs and pictures from my computer to my phone. I tried transferring a game but the file type is not supported by my phone. That's okay. I am happy that I was able to transfer songs and pics. I am tired but not that sleepy. Will just go for now. Have a fine last week of April 2008. Thanks for reading my blog. I am trying to keep my faith in every aspect there is. God Bless.

    Seven Seven Seven...

  • Seven Ways to Restart Your Day
    Beliefnet Feature from Oprah.com.

You've just woken up, and you're on the wrong side of the bed. Is there any way to switch to the other side? Absolutely.

For those times when your mind is addled, and your center is shaky; open this little black bag of cures and find your beautiful balance!

By Kathryn Matthews from O, The Oprah Magazine, October 2007

As soon as the alarm rings...
Spend your first 15 seconds awake planning something nice to do for yourself today. "This can really set you up in a good mood--even if it's just going by the farmers' market and getting fresh strawberries," says Alice Domar, PhD, whose next book--Be Happy Without Being Perfect: How to Break Free from the Perfection Deception--will be out in March 2008.

    Get up.
The longer you lie there, the more you ruminate, the darker your outlook is likely to become, says Christine Padesky, PhD, coauthor of Mind Over Mood. So get vertical and make a cup of coffee, take a shower, feed the cat...

    Drink...
Make that two glasses of water upon awakening, the time when our bodies are dehydrated, says Susan M. Kleiner, PhD, author of The Good Mood Diet. Dehydration causes fatigue, which affects your mood.

    Move it.
You already know the number one way of chasing away a bad mood: exercise. A workout at the gym sure helps. But even just a few minutes of movement--a fast walk, for example--raises energy and reduces tension, says mood expert Robert Thayer, PhD, professor of psychology at California State University, Long Beach, and author of Calm Energy.

    Investigate.
When you're dogged by anxiety or the dread you woke up with, try to pinpoint what's causing it. Did someone say anything the day before? Do you have a meeting today you wish you didn't? Was it the dream you were having when the alarm went off? "If you can figure out why you're upset, that's halfway to feeling better," says Domar.

    Be kind and thankful.
This isn't exactly news, but generosity and gratitude are both big contributors to happiness, according to Todd B. Kashdan, PhD, who directs the Laboratory for the Study of Social Anxiety, Character Strengths, and Related Phenomena at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Do something nice for a stranger or friend and see if you don't feel better about yourself. Also, jot down three things that you're grateful for. It seems so simple, but counting your blessings just has a way of making you remember the sun is shining.

    Laugh at yourself.
The best comedians point out the mundane aspects of life--relationship strife, a boring job, a closet full of too-tight clothes; they exaggerate those circumstances, and give us a perspective we can laugh about, says Mark Ridley, owner of the Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, Michigan. Look at your own life and try to appreciate the absurdity of what doesn't go exactly according to plan (the diets, the men, the buzz cut). Acknowledging how little control we actually have over what happens is sometimes a most freeing gift to yourself.

  • Seven Steps to Improving Relationships

    By Rabbi Brad Hirschfield

Conflict is an inevitable part of life, but it need not always be painful. In fact, we all have within us the ability to sustain relationships even when we deeply disagree. When we reach our breaking point (as we all do), and need to walk away, we can do so in ways that make it more likely that we will come back together.

Here are seven ancient Talmudic steps to follow when confronted with a conflict. They create conversation--not denigration--and encourage us to talk about what matters most in ways that hurt the least.

    1. Give Yourself a Break
Sometimes you need some distance-some time to cool off and reflect. But it should be just that, i.e., a limited amount of time after which you and the person with whom you are fighting agree to come back together and revisit the issues. A time out can be a great thing, as long as its design is to bring you back together.

    2. Respect the Other Person's Dignity
The one whom you are in conflict with should never lose their value as a human being. No matter how right you think you are and how wrong they may be, don't deny their dignity; you will do more harm than good.

    3. Experience Radical Empathy
We must do everything in our power to identify with the other person and their position before fighting for our own. Simply saying that we understand their point of view is not enough--be able to argue it well and present it as if you shared it yourself.

    4. Acknowledge Your Partner's Wisdom
Before we can be their teacher, we must first become their student. We must accept that no matter how wrong someone is about one thing, they are unlikely to be wrong about everything. Nobody is smart enough to be 100 percent right or dumb enough to 100 percent wrong.

    5. Know That Conflict Hurts Everyone
Appreciate that even when we are doing everything right in handling our relationships, we all pay a price when a conflict unfolds. Being right should not insulate us from feeling the pain that is a part of the conflict in which we are engaged.

    6. Look First to Yourself
Even when we are right, we should always ask how we participate in creating and perpetuating the conflict. We all play the blame game sometimes, but it's important to point a thumb back at ourselves before a finger at the other person.

    7. Remember, Being Right Is Not Enough
Remind ourselves that the only real justification for conflict with those about whom we care is that it addresses an issue, which is central to sustaining the relationship over time. If it's just about being right, then it probably isn't worth it.

  • My Seven American Idol Favorites...

  • It's been a lazy weekend for me. Was in bed most of the time. Watched a few movies. I recommend Juno. Across the Universe was ok, I didn't loved it but I didn't disliked it either. Though the guy who played Jude was easy on the eyes. Martian Child was good enough for me, John Cusack was they reason why I watched it anyways and he's always good for me. I love hearing him talk. SIGH. I also watched Dedication [Mandy Moore and Billy Crudup], hmmm, there are some movies that when you see who's in it, you get interested in, but when you start watching the movie, it's like, hmmmm, just have to finish the movie to see how it all ends, though, I pretty much knew what was coming. Hee. I like Mandy Moore. Billy was ok. Margot at the wedding stars Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Jack Black, the movie is not a comedy. I don't know what to make of it. I'm glad it wasn't a long movie though. I still have to watch Into the Wild, Awake, Silk, The Bucket List, My Blueberry Nights to watch in the coming days.
  • Didn't really get to do productive things except I ironed some jeans and shirts Saturday night. I planned on cleaning [basically just arranging my what-not] my room but that didn't worked out. Hee.
  • Had semi-off chats with NG this weekend. We get those once in a while. There are times that you just want to be with someone and not talk right? But can't do that when you're in a long distance relationship. You can't be on YM and not type anything, the other might think you're mad or something. Can be tough times. Oh well. We tend to take it as it comes. Soon enough we'd get to spend time together and just be. No more looking at each other's webcams and all that. 3 years of doing that made me asked myself why did I agree on it in the first place? I'm not regretting it. It is what it is. Praying about things.
  • It's a brand new month, NG feels it will be our month, hoping for the best is all. My youngest sister will be arriving on Wednesday from Thailand [a pit stop from Dubai]. She texted me earlier saying that their flight from Dubai to Thailand was delayed. And she'll be arriving here in Manila on Wednesday instead of Tuesday. All good. Already have plans on taking her to a spa for a massage and what not. And she'll be celebrating her birthday here, she'll be 28. How time flies. Indeed. I feel my March will be good, if only for my sister being here, I think that's enough reason to yes? NG might be here too, if all things go as planned.
  • Here's to a good March for all of us. Keep that faith. God Bless.

February Twenty Five Twenty Oh Eight...

  • From Post Secret
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to sign? I never learned how to do this. I still could learn yes?

  • Korean baby covers Hey Jude...you must watch this...

  • From Monday's a Bitch:
    1. Did you watch the Oscars last night? What did you think of them?
Woke up late for it. Saw bit parts. Saw James McAvoy. Not much into awards shows now than I used to.

    2. Have you ever called in sick to work when you weren't really sick? What did you spend the day doing instead?
I try not to because karma is a bitch. The few times I've had, I just stayed in my room, whenever I feel down or something, it's not just easy to get up and pretend that you're okay when in fact, you're not, if you know what I mean.

    3. In school did you ever have to serve detention? What for?
I cut class and got caught. First time I did it AND I got caught. Never did it again after that.

    4. Have you ever had food poisoning? What did you eat that caused it?
No food poisoning. Though, I remember, years ago, during lunch, I ate just a bit of rice and pork asado, then ate LOTS of watermelon, was throwing up for quite a while.

    5. Do you have any tattoos? If not, would you ever consider getting one?
I don't have any though there are times I wish I'd get one but I'm not too keen on the needles.

  • I don't get to watch Gossip Girl but isn't this guy too good looking? There are gay rumors buzzing around him, that he's with JC Chasez of NSYNC. One time, it was a news bit on ET that he's with Carrie Underwood. Hmmm. I don't care what his sexual preference is, he's easy on the eyes, I don't even know if he's a good actor. Hee. Not crushing on him but you just can't help but notice his good looks yes? Oh, his name is Chase Crawford btw.

  • Kids say the darndest things: [a brief conversation between me and my 8-year-old cousin Nadine]:
Nadine: Ate, ano ba yung condom, yun frenzy? [apparently she saw in on a TV commercial]
Me: Hindi mo pa maiintidihan kahit explain ko sa'yo, pag laki mo na lang.
Nadine: Try mo, baka maintindihan ko...
[She forgot about her question once we got to the chocolates section inside Watsons...heee...As far as I can remember, we just learn about those things as we grow up no? I can't remember how I learned about condoms. And even if I do remember, I will not tell it here. Hee. I do have a condom I got free from a Cosmo mag a few years ago, I have to find it and get rid of it, they have expiration right? The packet it came with is purple, that's why I kept it, I guess. A FRIENDS episode is flashing back right now, Ross calling the condom company...hee. I miss FRIENDS.]

  • I celebrated my birthday with the EBC gurls. We had body massages before our crabs, tofu and palabok dinner. We were online after dinner. We helped Eee start her own Multiply and Facebook accounts, yay. No VS, imagine that? No one really craved for it. Coffee, tea, popcorn and cakes are what kept us awake until we parted ways at 6am. It was a good way of celebrating my birthday. I pray I get to celebrate it with them again sometime soon.

  • This is the last week of February 2008. Where did it go? Next week, my youngest sister will be here for a month-long vacation. I can't wait for her to have it because she's been really swamped with work. Getting her vacation wasn't easy either. Her bosses didn't want her to go because they need her a lot. I told her that could by why the person before her resigned, because of too much work load. Hee. But she enjoys what she do. I think, I can say, she's pretty blessed that she enjoys what she does for a living. If only I could afford to give her a Macbook Pro for her birthday next month, I would, maybe someday, somehow. It's not impossible, will just take some time to get that. Can't wait to see her again next week. Yay. It was July 2006 that she was last here. I still am praying and wishing that one day, we'd all be in one timezone and we'll all just be a phone call away. Distance can be a bitch, thankful for the internet, text messaging that keeps us closer in some ways.
  • Have a good week ahead. Keep the faith and God Bless.

    I Don't Feel Too Good...

  • The weekend is almost over. Had a lazy one, as always. Stayed at home. Cheaper that way. Been feeling under the weather since Saturday afternoon, it's late Sunday night right now and I'm really feeling under the weather. I don't like being sick. Who does? Sigh.
  • It's bound to be a busy work week, so, I cannot take a sick day off but I know, if I really need to stay home, I can. Uncle Boss will let me stay home for sure. For now, I think, I can work tomorrow, it's just gonna be another day waiting at the Bureau anyways.
  • Chat with NG tonight since he got Sunday off this week, then another full weekend off the weekend of 23rd and 24th. All good.
  • I downloaded LOST Season 4 Episodes 0 and 1 via utorrent, it took hours, of course, finished around 2am-ish, and I was watching it at 3am-ish. Damn that show. A friend told me not to download anymore and she'll just burn me a copy. I told her, I think, I'll just wait when there are more episodes to watch, I don't like anticipating each week for a new episode. I'd rather watch one episode after another. A marathon. I'll just wait for now.
  • Downloaded other stuff off the utorrent thingy, got me albums of Joshua Radin [don't really like the whole album], Robin Thicke [me lovey], Colbie Caillat [sounds goody for a first album], Ingrid Michaelson [she grows on you], and Natasha Bedingfield [love her...love the album]...if you're on my Multiply list, will upload them there to share.
  • Also, been checking sites of resorts of Boracay and Bohol for SisterM, so far, their Bora is done. Just need confirmation for their Bohol trip. Picked up their tickets last Thursday night at CebuPacific Robinson's Galleria. Could have it sent via email but I didn't have a credit card, paid in cash. Found a few resorts at Bora that have nice websites like Beachcomber Boracay and Red Coconut. Makes you wanna go there if only money is not an issue. Hee.
  • I'm not a Piolo Pascual fan but when I saw this commercial, I was like...wow...what a guapo Cupid he is. Love his eyes. Man.
  • It'll be my birthday on Saturday. I'll turn 32. I can't believe it sometimes. But I'll be that young. Hee. I'll spend it with a few gurl friends. NG will not be here this time though since he'll be coming in March. Was nice spending 2 consecutive birthdays with him. And to think, I used to spend my birthdays alone, yes, would go to the mall and just go about things, there was one year, I played Bingo for the heck of it. Hee. And spending it with people you like is good too. I like it better. Here's to being happy on my birthday.
  • Here's to a good week ahead. God Bless.
  • Thursday, October 11, 2007

    Friday the 12th...

  • I'm at home today. It's a declared holiday. No work. Was in bed all day. I got some zzzz time as well. Been having an off time with my sleeping lately with my sleeping. I finally got up around 11am-ish. All good. I had my breakfast [taho] then maybe, will have lunch later. It's almost 1pm now. Not hungry yet. Just relaxing on an extra non-working day. Hope your day is okay as well.

  • Started watching BROTHERS & SISTERS last Sunday night. I'm liking it so far. I'm on episode 18 now. It's a family drama. Go watch it when you can. I also like the songs played on the show. Will probably finish it later. Then will start with the 7th and final [SIGH] season of the Gilmore Girls. Another favorite show ended. Oh well. Me thinks, B&S is the replacement on my drama genre show.

Took these images last week at work when I had one of our client's refrigerated containers examined. It's more like open and close. I took pics because the assigned examiner to me didn't get to go the examination area. And I gave her 600 for that. Hah. Whatever. That's how things are done way way way before I started working in this line of work. People with the least things done gets the most money. We practically pay for their signatures. Oh well.

Nice? Me thinks so. Impulsive me though. Why is it tough to save and so easy to spend it like that? This could be my Christmas gift to myself. Hee. I felt guilty for getting it the first few days since we're experiencing money issues but didn't get to resist it. Oh well. I will try to be more vigilant in saving money next time.

My sis-in-law gave me this bag. Sweet bag. Whee. I'm not used to shoulder bags but this one I lovelike. The size is right. Wish it had more pockets inside to put stuff in though. Now, I'm thinking of getting a wallet. [YES, I don't have a wallet, don't give me that look...hee...] I've survived not having one since high school. I do have a coin purse from SisterJ though. Hmmm, maybe, I'll get a wallet soon. Will see. If I find something that I like, I just might.

We had VS last weekend. It was just supposed to be dinner since Doctora and Eee wasn't feeling okay. But on the way home, decided to get Vodka Cruisers first, then after a few minutes, just decided to get a bottle of Absolut. We got pizza at 3am. Hee. Doctora didn't get to join us though but she knew the VS was gonna happen. Mrs G and I had 4 glasses of AbCoke. Eeee had 3 of her AbFourseasons. We all got dizzy after. Maybe because we drank fast. I don't know. Last time for me prior to that was back in February. We have 3/4 full of Absolut left. Sidenote: Passed by Cherry Foodarama last night with my cousins, the 1 liter of Absolut Vanilia was only 688 pesos. Hmmm. I was tempted to get one. That's one of my faves Absoluts along with the original Blue and Apeach.

Bob and Rix: WE WANT VODKA TOO!!! Hee. They were actually waiting on Eeee to give them more pizza but she was busy with the Ipod Touch.

  • Okays, me thinks that's it for now. Have a good weekend. God Bless.

    Five Ninety Nine...

My all-time crush [hee] is back on TV via Lastikman, yes, I know, I won't be able to watch that show but I'm still happy he's appearing on TV again. Kampanerang Kuba was the last show he was in if I remember it right. I wish he'd have a BENCH ad sometime in the future again. He'll always be my Bench man.

My cousin Nadine called me awhile ago to tell me if it's okay that my Christmas gift for her is 599. Hee. She said, she saw something from a magazine of Toy Kingdom and the price is 599 pesos. I told her if I get her that gift she'll not be surprise anymore. She said, doesn't matter, she really like that 599 thingy [that I have yet to see on the magazine when I am at their house again]. I was smiling when she kept asking if it's okay that it's 599, if not, I could tell my sisters to send the money and I'll buy it. Funny lil gurl Nadine. Kids don't have any pressure about the value of money no? Wish I'm still a kid sometimes. Gotta love her and I'm thinking she will get that 599 thingy for Christmas.

  • It's been a busy work week for me. I'm so glad it's the weekend once again. No work for two days. Yay. Hope your week went okay.
  • It was my parents 33rd anniversary last Thursday. 33 years. I wonder if I will have that with someone in this lifetime? Would be nice to be able to be in your 60s and still be with one person yes? I still wonder how my Nanay can put up with my Tatay's "habits" ... I can't stand it for most part. Hee. I guess, it's love no? I'm happy they are still together. Lots more to come I pray.
  • Just found out that NG doesn't use his closets at home. His undies are in a big bag or laundry basket. Hah. A bit surprised but I know it was possible. He claims he's not messy though, he's just not organized. Hmmm. I guess, I'll find out in time no? I hope I can handle it just fine.
  • Also, he signed up for a raffle to be able to buy Spice Girls concert tickets awhile back. He got an email last Monday that he may buy tickets now but the show is in Vegas. He did the math for flights and hotel and what not. He decided not to go since he said, he's saving up for his trip here soon. He's a Spice Girl fan. Every weekend he plays one of their CD as we chat. I hope they add more tours near his area so, he could go and watch. Praying on that.
  • We'll have dinner and VS [finally again, after quite a long time, last time for me was back in February] with the gurls tomorrow night. Bound to be a good one. Will drink away my worries for now. It'll all be okay yes? I hope so.
  • Anyhoo, must go to bed, I'm sleepy tired. Hope you have a good weekend and I'm hoping I'd have a good one too. God Bless.

    Tiring Work Week...

  • It's been a busy tiring work week for me. Was up by 5am from Tuesday to Friday and I got home later than usual. Though, today, finished work around 3:30pm-ish and I was at home by 6pm-ish. All good. Bound to be another busy one next week. I am complaining just stating a fact. Today was a not-so-good day at work. Our client's shipment was randomly hit to be examined via the Bureau's X-ray machine. Such a hassle I tell you. And even if our client's company is a multi-national big corporation, the Bureau still decided to that they want to x-ray our client's cargo. Oh well. Hassle. I mean, IF they really want to catch those smugglers, they can, only they don't because that's how some of the people at the Bureau make LOTS and LOTS of money. SAD BUT TRUE. Tsk tsk tsk.
  • I'm glad and thankful it's the weekend. No work for two days. Yay.

  • A shoutout going out to my cousin Tin for passing the Medical Technology Licensure Exams. She just had her birthday last Tuesday and I must say that's a great gift yes? A mini-wave for her...whooo.
  • On the US Open 2007, my bets are out. Blake and Nadal didn't make it thru the 4th round. Oh well. There's always next year.

  • Got me this last night. Would have been perfect if the swoosh and laces were purple/violet. Hee. I like it nonetheless.
  • Random pic: this was taken January 2006, when my Tita Carol, my cousins Karen & Jean and my nieces Kat, Jade & Jewel came for a visit. I still have some relatives that I still have to meet in person. Someday, somehow. Also in pic are my parents, Uncle Boss and Tita Loida.
  • Anyhoo, here's wishing a fine weekend for you and me. God Bless.

    Found...

  • Another weekend once again and as always, I am all for it. I've been having a hard time sleeping the past few weeks...I know rather I feel tired but once I am in bed, sleep just won't go my way. Last night [okay it was around 2am-ish], I started watching this movie Caffeine, American actresses like Mena Suvari and Katherine Heigl have English [I think] accents in this indie film. I fell asleep in the middle of the movie, I finished it when I woke up this morning.
  • I knew I was really sleepy tired because I left the dvd player on and I only realized it when I continued to watch the movie. Doink to me. I did turn off the TV though, so, at least, that's less electricity consumed for being sleepy. I always make it a point to turn off things when not in use. It's a conscious thingy. Even if I'm not in my own house, I notice things like that. Hee. I keep quiet most of the time. I get on NGs case on that, coz whenever we're chatting, he turns on his AC when he gets home, and it's not just in a room where he's in, then his tv is on while we're chatting. His music is on as well. He told me though that his electric bill is on a fixed rate [$70 if I remember it right] each month, whether he consume a lot of electricity or not, he still pays the same. So, I guess, it's ok to have things turned on even if you're not using it? It still gets to me though.
  • Our electric bill for last month was Php5,680. I live with my parents and my cousin Alfred. We have a fridge, washing machine, an AC at my parent's room, shower heater [that apparently, I'm the only one who uses each morning...hee], computer, 2 electric fans [used to be 3 but mine died on me, so, each night, I use my parent's fan once their AC is on, need a replacement soon], 2 tv and dvd players, and we have the egg incubator [24/7]. Still, it's a big amount yes? Our house rent is only Php5000 each month. And I don't pay these things, my sisters does, I only get to cover the phone/dsl and I give some money to Mom each week. Not much but I try to give more when I have more. I'm guessing, you get conscious with things like consumed electricity when you're not the one who pays for it? Knowing how not easy it is to earn cash. Heck, it gets to me whenever I see street lights still on each morning. Hee.
  • Continuing this post after my chat with NG, which kinda ended in a not-so-good mood, the downside of being in a long distance relationship. Arrrghhh. You can't whack them in the head to get your thoughts across. Hee, I'm kidding about that, I'm not a violent person. I mean, being in a regular [same timezone] relationship is tough enough, how much more if you're on different ones. He's sleepy. You just woke up. Or vice versa. But we've been doing this for almost 3 years now, so, we know it happens. We can't always have good moments right? I'm glad the not-so-good moments seldom happens. It's a bitch when it does. Tomorrow is yet another day. Taking is one day at a time.

  • Do you have a Myspace account? I do. I started it last year to support Jamie Walters and some artists. I took that page down and made a new one 2 weeks ago. And I'm glad I went back. I found out that my cousins/nephews/nieces are on there. It's a good way to keep in touch with them. One of them even have a myspace meant for her fans. She's a calendar gurl. If your nice to me, I might give her public myspace account to you. i noticed too that most people in the USA prefer Myspace than Friendster.

  • I've had my Friendster profile the longest, most of my the people that I met in person are on there. Recently, I found [or they found me] people from Dataline [the AMA College Paper I was a briefly a part of], I'm happy about that. My former EIC is on my list now.

  • I have a Multiply page too, I like having it to share pix and music. A friend uploaded the audio books of Harry Potter 1-3. I have downloaded it, I just have to transfer them to my Ipod. Maroon5's latest was uploaded by a friend as well, it's actually better than the album itself since, she had other songs that are Bonus tracks on different versions of the album. I'm waiting for someone to upload KT Tunstall's album. NG has a copy for awhile but it's still unwrapped. Will just have to wait, no point in buying a CD which he already has.
  • Speaking of CDs that I have. Found out I have 116 in total, I made a list for NG so, he could cross out the ones he already have. So, I won't have to bring it with me if/when I get to go to where he's at. If you find something you like, do tell and I'll upload them via Multiply. Music is good yes? It can be very calming at times. Or if you don't want to talk to anyone, just have your earphones on. Hee.

  • Randomness. This was taken New Year's Eve 2000 with my family and my cousin Nadine. We looked happy yes? Wish to have a family pic where we're all complete again. Someday soon.
  • Okays, I think, that will be it for now. I have to get ready for Doctora's birthday dinner. We're dining at Everything at Steak [clever...hee], I just am happy that I'll be seeing them again. Will post pix later. Have a fine day to you. God Bless.

    One ARK at a time...

  • It's been a light work week for me. It was busy since the month of April. It was good to have a breather. Would have been nice to get out of town if I had the extra cash but will just do that sometime soon. So, I just stayed home Thursday and spent time in bed and watched some movies. I slept too. That felt good.
  • Today, I had a haircut, nothing fancy, just the usual, the last time I had one was back in February 2006. The gay guy who cut my hair wanted to do things to my hair, did I want my hair to be curly? did I want a cellophane? did I want it short like someone in the pic he showed me? I answered NO to all. Though, I did agree on a "hair spa" treatment, he just put some green foamy stuff on my hair, he said it was hair aroma. So my hair would get stronger and I'd have less falling hair [is that the right way to say it?]. We'll find out if I will have less hair in my floor then. He told me I should have that "hair spa" thingy once a month. I'm gonna think about it.
  • Then I went to have my picture taken because NG need them for something, one full frontal image view and one 3/4 frontal view. Actually, it confused us both on what was said about the pics. So, just to be sure, we got two shots of what was mentioned. It was too detailed but a bit confusing. NG showed me his pics on cam and I told him he should have smiled, so, just to tease him about not smiling, I half-smiled on mine. They use digital camera for taking those pics now, I was looking for the negatives and the girl told me it was digital. Doink to me!
  • While waiting for the pics to be done, I went to the NBI Center to renew my clearance. There were a lot of people. AS ALWAYS. NBI makes a lot of money each day out of those clearances. The place is always full of people. Funny, how some people don't read signs, BIG tarpaulin SIGNS of STEPs 1 - 7 is VERY visible. To make it easier for people, Step 1 is on the 3rd floor, Steps 2-4 on the 4th, Steps 5-7 on the 5th. If you know how to count, obviously Step 2 comes after Step 1 right? Hee. I just got annoyed a bit because the line was long and a few people kept asking where to go next. Oh well. I wanted to just say PLEASE READ the sign but I just replied, Oo, dito po... double annoyance because I was listening to my ipod and I have to take off one ear phone each time someone asks me something. Oh well. I kept my cool. Hee. Beyonce [to the left, to the left...] kept me calm throughout my time at the NBI Center.
  • Had my late lunch at Chowking. Thought of watching The Transformers but it rained, so, I decided to just go straight home. Maybe, will catch that movie this weekend, will see. Been planning on that but was under the weather the last few weeks.
  • I saw Evan Almighty yesterday, don't ask where I got my copy. Hee. If someone like Evan builds an ark in real life and told you that there will be a flood and all, would you get on the ark? Would you have faith in that person? I have been thinking about that since and I asked myself that question and I still don't know my answer. Hmmm. It will all come down to faith yes?
God: How do we change the world?
Evan: One single act of random kindness at a time.
God: [spoken while writing A-R-K on ground with a stick] One Act, of, Random, Kindness.

  • I want this for Christmas or on my birthday...hee...wishing and hoping...Santa are you out there??? I promise to be a good girl, as if I'm not already. Hee. Would give this gifty to my friends if I had the money. Someday, somehow.
  • Goofing around with Nadine...
  • Okays, must end this one for now, will watch a movie or two then zzzzz. I'm glad it's the weekend. Here's to a good one for you and me. God Bless.

    Under the Weather...

  • Hey there, it's early Monday here, 12:40am, I know I should be in bed but I've been resting all day so I'm awake. Have to be early later for work though, good luck to me. Hee. I still am a bit under the weather but the cough is almost gone [thank God!], had a headache last night and even threw up. I hate throwing up. The last time I threw up was back February. My first hangover. Hee. Not fun but now I know how it feels to have a so-called hangover. I was good at avoiding having one since I didn't drink for years until I met a few people who introduced me to Absolut. Hee. All good though, not like I turned into an alcoholic, far from it. It's good to know I can drink if I want to. Last time was back in February too. I don't like to drink by myself. No fun in that.

They were supposed to be here back in September 2005 but that didn't happen. Now, I think, it's going to happen. I hope so. I am gonna watch with a few people I met via the Stephen Speaks Yahoo group [which is not active anymore] some years back. NG was supposed to watch this band a few months back, he had his ticket but he overslept and didn't make it to the gig. It's for charity nonetheless, his $20 went to a good cause nonetheless. For more info about this gig you may go to switchfootmanila.blogspot.com. Any of my other friends interested to go?

Elliott Yamin will have a series of mall tours in September as well, here's the sched from his Myspace:
    Sep 21 2007 8:00P Trinoma
    Sep 22 2007 8:00P Glorietta
    Sep 23 2007 8:00P Market! Market! Mall
    Sep 26 2007 8:00P Ayala Mall Cebu
    Sep 29 2007 8:00P Alabang Town Center
Trinoma is near my area, I'm gonna make sure to go see the guy. Would be nice to hear him live.
  • Okays, that's about it for now, last full week of July 2007, WOW. Time really is amazing no? Here's wishing you a fine week ahead. God Bless.
