Do to others as you would have them do to you. [Luke 6:31]
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. [Proverbs 3:5]

Oh, btw...

  • I got a letter of apology from the USPS [United States Postal Service] saying that a few of the Christmas cards I sent were damaged during the handling process. They attached parts of the front of the envelopes. I don't know if those were the only damaged cards. I counted 4. Sigh. It was frustrating but I am glad they told me about it. We sent out around almost 80 cards this Christmas. So, if you didn't get yours, it probably got damaged. :(
  • Been here in O for almost 8 months now. I'm still waiting for that work permit. Sigh. It gets to me most of the time but I really don't have a choice but to wait. I hope it gets here this month. This is, by far, the longest time that I haven't had work. Oh well. I don't like it but it is what it is for now. Must follow the law and what not.
  • NG will have his birthday soon, I asked him what he wants for his birthday, he said, he already got it. I wonder what that is or who that is. Hee. Either way, I already have something for him.
  • I have been playing Texas Hold'em Poker online, I'm really enjoying it, keeps me occupied while I wait for NG to come home from work. Come join me at Poker Palace.
  • I spend more time at Facebook nowadays, more relatives are in there. All good. Fun to catch up with their dailies. I'm happy about that.
  • I'm having cramps right now, it's that time of the month once again. Must go. Have a good one. Keep the faith. God Bless.

    I'm Not Bored...

  • Why is it that I can't blog as often as I want? I have the time, but like always, when I'm in the compose page of Blogger, the things that I wanted to blog about just doesn't seem worth sharing anymore? Oh well. Here I am, just writing whatever comes to mind. I wanted to blog about being stressed when your partner is stressed a few weeks ago but won't do that right now. Thankfully, NG's not as stressed at his part-time job nowadays unlike a few weeks ago.
  • My cousin AJ turned 18 last month, it makes me feel a bit oldish thinking that she's 18 now. Yowza. Where did the time go?

This was taken December 2000-2001 me thinks, AJ is the one on the left [wearing glasses] and Nadine is on my Nanay's lap on the right. It didn't seem that long ago.

This is Nadine now. She was in charge of the candles on her sister's birthday. 9 years from now, Nadine will be 18. Sigh. I'm getting nostalgic now.

  • Speaking of nostalgia, these guys are back. They had a concert in the Philippines when I turned 18 but my parents didn't let my sisters and I watched the gig. They will be here in town in November, maybe, just maybe, I'll get to see them this time around. I still have to persuade NG in coming with me. Hah. Bribes might work. We will see. Wish me luck.
  • I'm back on TV mode since the start of the week. I've downloaded the House [4th season and the first episode of the fifth season], I'm on episode 6 now, will finish it in a few days for sure. Loving it, I just can't take Kal Penn's character seriously, I kept thinking, that's Kumar! Hee. I also have Pushing Daisies [season one], How I Met Your Mother [2nd and 3rd seasons] to watch. I have to finish Dexter [season 2] on Showtime ON DEMAND as well. Must catch up on CSI, Brothers & Sisters [season 2], Scrubs [season 5 to present] as well. Accck. I love my shows. I may not get to watch them in real time anymore but it's all good, I actually prefer watching them one after another. No commercials. Gotta love technology for that. Any shows you think I should be watching nowadays?
  • Baked Ziti with white sauce and eggplant parmigiana. I miss this!!! and I MISS the gurls I'm with whenever I have that yumminess.
  • Even if the show ended years ago, with this calendar, they will always be there for me. Must have. It's on my Christmas wish list even if I don't have a list yet. Hee. You can get yours at Danilo.com.
  • I've started this post 2 hours ago and I'm still here. I think, it's time I go for now. Until next time, whenever that will be. Hee. Keep the faith. God bless.

    Christmas Eve Monday...

Can Monday really be a bitch when it's Christmas Eve?
    taken from Monday's a Bitch - A Weekly Meme

    1. How much money did gift giving cost you this season?
Hmmm...less than 6 thousand pesos me thinks.

    2. Was getting ready for the holidays more fun, or more stressful this year?
    A little of both.

    3. Were there any gifts that you were particularly proud to have put together this year? Which was your favourite?
The gifts for the kiddies, I guess. A hair-braider for my cousin Nadine is a fave.

    4. What's your favourite holiday food?
My Tita Loida's spaghetti and I'm not picky, chicken is a given though. Hee.

    5. If you were to be magically morphed into Santa's tenth reindeer, what would you want your reindeer name to be? Would you have any notable or quirky reindeer characteristics?
Stuckeyvee. Hmmm, maybe, the quiet reindeer who likes the color purple.

    Go ahead, elf yourself too...

  • Wishing you a blessed CHRISTmas and a healthy, fun and exciting 2008. God Bless.

    My Long Weekend in Pictures...

  • Had lunch with my Grade school batchmates/friends last November 30th, since it was a Holiday, most of us were free. It was good seeing the others that I haven't seen since Grade school graduation. I'm in touch with a few thru the years since but lost contact with most. We're still looking for batchmates via Frienster or what not. All good.

  • After my lunch with friends, spent the rest of the evening with my nieces, nephews and younger cousins @ Star City. Heart-warming to see them enjoy the rides and what not.

  • December 1st, went to Trinoma mall, scheduled dinner with the EBC gurls, NurseA treated us a yummy dinner @ Bubba Gump. Had shirts made for my sisters, the vodka girl one is for SisterJ, the Charmed One is for SisterM. Laney gave me the Starshine [that term we got from Will & Grace, I actually, haven't seen the episode where Karen said that to Jack but it's all good.] shirt, she said, so, I'd remember her always. Hee. Sweet.

  • After dinner, went to Redbox Karaoke for an hour, I didn't sing, hee. I don't sing. I don't know. Not much a karaoke person really. I've only did that twice, back in the day. One with family [my sisters and I sang Janet Jackson's AGAIN] and one with my HS friends [I TRIED to sing, BABY I LOVE YOUR WAY...] I know, I was out of key, I don't sing. That's that. Leave me be. Heeee.

  • Then made our way to Mano's house, to divide the chocolates. Hee. Took Ada back to the hotel. Doctora went home too. Eeee, Mano and I bought pizza and pasta and was eating at 3am. Left Mano's house around 9am-ish. Time flies fast when you're in good company.

    Five Ninety Nine...

My all-time crush [hee] is back on TV via Lastikman, yes, I know, I won't be able to watch that show but I'm still happy he's appearing on TV again. Kampanerang Kuba was the last show he was in if I remember it right. I wish he'd have a BENCH ad sometime in the future again. He'll always be my Bench man.

My cousin Nadine called me awhile ago to tell me if it's okay that my Christmas gift for her is 599. Hee. She said, she saw something from a magazine of Toy Kingdom and the price is 599 pesos. I told her if I get her that gift she'll not be surprise anymore. She said, doesn't matter, she really like that 599 thingy [that I have yet to see on the magazine when I am at their house again]. I was smiling when she kept asking if it's okay that it's 599, if not, I could tell my sisters to send the money and I'll buy it. Funny lil gurl Nadine. Kids don't have any pressure about the value of money no? Wish I'm still a kid sometimes. Gotta love her and I'm thinking she will get that 599 thingy for Christmas.

  • It's been a busy work week for me. I'm so glad it's the weekend once again. No work for two days. Yay. Hope your week went okay.
  • It was my parents 33rd anniversary last Thursday. 33 years. I wonder if I will have that with someone in this lifetime? Would be nice to be able to be in your 60s and still be with one person yes? I still wonder how my Nanay can put up with my Tatay's "habits" ... I can't stand it for most part. Hee. I guess, it's love no? I'm happy they are still together. Lots more to come I pray.
  • Just found out that NG doesn't use his closets at home. His undies are in a big bag or laundry basket. Hah. A bit surprised but I know it was possible. He claims he's not messy though, he's just not organized. Hmmm. I guess, I'll find out in time no? I hope I can handle it just fine.
  • Also, he signed up for a raffle to be able to buy Spice Girls concert tickets awhile back. He got an email last Monday that he may buy tickets now but the show is in Vegas. He did the math for flights and hotel and what not. He decided not to go since he said, he's saving up for his trip here soon. He's a Spice Girl fan. Every weekend he plays one of their CD as we chat. I hope they add more tours near his area so, he could go and watch. Praying on that.
  • We'll have dinner and VS [finally again, after quite a long time, last time for me was back in February] with the gurls tomorrow night. Bound to be a good one. Will drink away my worries for now. It'll all be okay yes? I hope so.
  • Anyhoo, must go to bed, I'm sleepy tired. Hope you have a good weekend and I'm hoping I'd have a good one too. God Bless.

    Octoberfest...

    When life was more simpler.

I actually joined one of the parlor games on Jelo's 7th. Girls vs Boys. Girls won. It wasn't easy what I had to do in this pic. Hee.

Elliott Yamin was here last week. And this pic is from Meg of the Yaminoys [which I joined recently]. It was really sweet of Elliott to wear this shirt yes? He even posed with the rest of the Yaminoys wearing the shirt like he was one of them. Sweet.

The kiddies. Gameboy and PSP and computer games and cartoons are the things that make them happy right now. I was once like them.

My cousin Tin, my uber-kulit-when-taking-her-pic niece Jenea and my cousin AJ taken during Tin's blowout dinner.

The family. Where was I? Hmmm.

    She said: I'm thinking...she's such a cutie.

Little Tahitian girl is all grown up yes? I can't believe how she's grown. She used to be this teenie tiny baby.

  • It's the first day of October. Here's hoping it'll be a good one for you and me. God Bless.

Wake Me Up When September Ends...

  • I want this month to end already...
  • My Nanay had a mild stroke last week and we didn't even knew that it was one. We found out when we took her to the doctor last Sunday. She had her blood work and ecg done last Monday. Went back to the doctor last Tuesday. Her sugar is high, which is surprising because she doesn't like sweet stuff. The process will be repeated before October 9th, so, maybe, the people who took her blood made a glitch about her sugar and what not. She's got a high blood pressure, most people think when you're high blood, you must like fatty food, not my Nanay's case, she's a fish lady. When we have fried tilapia, hers would be steamed. When we have fried bangus, hers would be steamed. Oh well, the doctor asked her if she's got problems that she's been thinking a lot. She just said no. She's been given 5 types of meds, when they went to the drugstore is totalled to Php10,500. Acccck. She only had 2,000 with her. Why are meds so pricey? It should be affordable to all. Sigh. I'm glad that my Nanay's stroke was just a mild one. It's heartbreaking to witness when a loved one is not feeling good and you can't do anything about it. Your prayers would be appreciated.
  • Tatay got the sore eyes since Monday afternoon now Nanay have it too. Oh no. I don't want to have red eyes. It's been years since I had one. Also, Uncle Boss's house help have it as well. Accck. I hope no one else catches the virus.
  • The house owner dropped by earlier this month, and told her if we can't give a down payment, we have to move because they're selling this house, they need the money for a medical operation I think. SIGH. There are times, I wish I'm born rich so, I won't have any problems where money is concerned. Praying this will all work out. I know, this issue, has been a burden to my Nanay.
  • Also, their property case in the province, that's been going on since I was in HS, I think. Lotsa money spent on that case. Why, oh why, some people are greedy, not like they can take that with them when they die. KARMA to them. BIG TIME. I sometimes, want to say, just give the property up but they know it's theirs and it's been a long process on that. Just fighting for what is theirs. Karma to my greedy relatives.
  • Anyhoo, must get ready for work now. Prayers check for anyone who needs it. Bring on October. God Bless.

    Tiring Work Week...

  • It's been a busy tiring work week for me. Was up by 5am from Tuesday to Friday and I got home later than usual. Though, today, finished work around 3:30pm-ish and I was at home by 6pm-ish. All good. Bound to be another busy one next week. I am complaining just stating a fact. Today was a not-so-good day at work. Our client's shipment was randomly hit to be examined via the Bureau's X-ray machine. Such a hassle I tell you. And even if our client's company is a multi-national big corporation, the Bureau still decided to that they want to x-ray our client's cargo. Oh well. Hassle. I mean, IF they really want to catch those smugglers, they can, only they don't because that's how some of the people at the Bureau make LOTS and LOTS of money. SAD BUT TRUE. Tsk tsk tsk.
  • I'm glad and thankful it's the weekend. No work for two days. Yay.

  • A shoutout going out to my cousin Tin for passing the Medical Technology Licensure Exams. She just had her birthday last Tuesday and I must say that's a great gift yes? A mini-wave for her...whooo.
  • On the US Open 2007, my bets are out. Blake and Nadal didn't make it thru the 4th round. Oh well. There's always next year.

  • Got me this last night. Would have been perfect if the swoosh and laces were purple/violet. Hee. I like it nonetheless.
  • Random pic: this was taken January 2006, when my Tita Carol, my cousins Karen & Jean and my nieces Kat, Jade & Jewel came for a visit. I still have some relatives that I still have to meet in person. Someday, somehow. Also in pic are my parents, Uncle Boss and Tita Loida.
  • Anyhoo, here's wishing a fine weekend for you and me. God Bless.

    Found...

  • Another weekend once again and as always, I am all for it. I've been having a hard time sleeping the past few weeks...I know rather I feel tired but once I am in bed, sleep just won't go my way. Last night [okay it was around 2am-ish], I started watching this movie Caffeine, American actresses like Mena Suvari and Katherine Heigl have English [I think] accents in this indie film. I fell asleep in the middle of the movie, I finished it when I woke up this morning.
  • I knew I was really sleepy tired because I left the dvd player on and I only realized it when I continued to watch the movie. Doink to me. I did turn off the TV though, so, at least, that's less electricity consumed for being sleepy. I always make it a point to turn off things when not in use. It's a conscious thingy. Even if I'm not in my own house, I notice things like that. Hee. I keep quiet most of the time. I get on NGs case on that, coz whenever we're chatting, he turns on his AC when he gets home, and it's not just in a room where he's in, then his tv is on while we're chatting. His music is on as well. He told me though that his electric bill is on a fixed rate [$70 if I remember it right] each month, whether he consume a lot of electricity or not, he still pays the same. So, I guess, it's ok to have things turned on even if you're not using it? It still gets to me though.
  • Our electric bill for last month was Php5,680. I live with my parents and my cousin Alfred. We have a fridge, washing machine, an AC at my parent's room, shower heater [that apparently, I'm the only one who uses each morning...hee], computer, 2 electric fans [used to be 3 but mine died on me, so, each night, I use my parent's fan once their AC is on, need a replacement soon], 2 tv and dvd players, and we have the egg incubator [24/7]. Still, it's a big amount yes? Our house rent is only Php5000 each month. And I don't pay these things, my sisters does, I only get to cover the phone/dsl and I give some money to Mom each week. Not much but I try to give more when I have more. I'm guessing, you get conscious with things like consumed electricity when you're not the one who pays for it? Knowing how not easy it is to earn cash. Heck, it gets to me whenever I see street lights still on each morning. Hee.
  • Continuing this post after my chat with NG, which kinda ended in a not-so-good mood, the downside of being in a long distance relationship. Arrrghhh. You can't whack them in the head to get your thoughts across. Hee, I'm kidding about that, I'm not a violent person. I mean, being in a regular [same timezone] relationship is tough enough, how much more if you're on different ones. He's sleepy. You just woke up. Or vice versa. But we've been doing this for almost 3 years now, so, we know it happens. We can't always have good moments right? I'm glad the not-so-good moments seldom happens. It's a bitch when it does. Tomorrow is yet another day. Taking is one day at a time.

  • Do you have a Myspace account? I do. I started it last year to support Jamie Walters and some artists. I took that page down and made a new one 2 weeks ago. And I'm glad I went back. I found out that my cousins/nephews/nieces are on there. It's a good way to keep in touch with them. One of them even have a myspace meant for her fans. She's a calendar gurl. If your nice to me, I might give her public myspace account to you. i noticed too that most people in the USA prefer Myspace than Friendster.

  • I've had my Friendster profile the longest, most of my the people that I met in person are on there. Recently, I found [or they found me] people from Dataline [the AMA College Paper I was a briefly a part of], I'm happy about that. My former EIC is on my list now.

  • I have a Multiply page too, I like having it to share pix and music. A friend uploaded the audio books of Harry Potter 1-3. I have downloaded it, I just have to transfer them to my Ipod. Maroon5's latest was uploaded by a friend as well, it's actually better than the album itself since, she had other songs that are Bonus tracks on different versions of the album. I'm waiting for someone to upload KT Tunstall's album. NG has a copy for awhile but it's still unwrapped. Will just have to wait, no point in buying a CD which he already has.
  • Speaking of CDs that I have. Found out I have 116 in total, I made a list for NG so, he could cross out the ones he already have. So, I won't have to bring it with me if/when I get to go to where he's at. If you find something you like, do tell and I'll upload them via Multiply. Music is good yes? It can be very calming at times. Or if you don't want to talk to anyone, just have your earphones on. Hee.

  • Okays, I think, that will be it for now. I have to get ready for Doctora's birthday dinner. We're dining at Everything at Steak [clever...hee], I just am happy that I'll be seeing them again. Will post pix later. Have a fine day to you. God Bless.

    Catching Up [yet again, hee]...

  • Heys. It's 6am-ish on a Tuesday right now. Early day for work. I didn't have work yesterday since the holiday [which is really today, Independence Day] was moved to that day. Was a 3-day weekend for me. Well, not really, since I had to go to work Saturday but it ended around 2pm-ish. Was sms chatting with NG on my way home, then had a quick cam-chat when I got home. Then I took a nap. Nadine woke me up at 6pm-ish as I requested, then more paperwork. Went online for a bit. Then bed.
  • Sunday, chatted with NG til about 2pm-ish. Finished the paperwork. Cleaned my room and put up curtains from 3-6pm-ish. Tiring but it was satisfying to see my room looking fresh and clean. Hee. I took out a few old magazines from my plastic containers and finally let go of them. I told my Mom she should keep it, in case Nadine or my cousin Alfred [who's staying here with us and attending school, he's a freshman in HS though he doesn't look it, he looks like he's still in elementary...heee] might use them for school projects and what not. I also took out my paperbacks from years ago, was thinking of selling them but I don't know yet. Mom put them in a box for now until I have time to sort them out. My dvds occupy the container that had my books/magazines before right now. All good.
  • Early Monday [NG had Sunday off and I have Monday off], we scheduled a chat for 1am [my time] and noon [his time] that lasted til about 5am me thinks. Then bed. Woke up around 11am-ish. Had my taho, which I think the taho guy forgot to add sweetener. Hee. Then played UNO with my cousins Alfred and Nadine til about 2pm-ish. Then I did laundry. 2 and half week's worth of undies. Showered. Went online and replied to NGs mails from 7-9pm-ish. Then bed. Was really sleepy. Was out from 10pm-ish til I got up around 5:30am-ish. All good. I feel recharged. Good I got more hours on the sleep than usual. I can say, I'm ready to face a busy work week. If all works out, we'd be able to finish early Friday. I'm thinking positive. Yes.

  • Nadine's new hairstyle...it looks good on her. Hee. I'm thinking of having a haircut soon as well. We'll see.

Found these magazines and this lil book of questions about love & sex from a BOOKSALE last Saturday on my home. The book cost 15 pesos, the mags under 200 pesos. It's been a while since I bought a mag. All good buy me feels.

  • Okays, that will be it for now. Must shower and get ready for work. Have a fine week to us all. God Bless.
