Free Grand Slam...

There's no Denny's near where we live. Tsk tsk tsk. Just heard on the radio that there's a line in getting in. It's 3 degrees right now, I don't think, I would want to fall in line in this cold weather. I'll just have my cheerios and coffee indoors, where it's warm and cozy. If you live in the USA and there's a Denny's near you, go get your free grand slam. :)

One of them days...

MajorDad gave this to us. We only have a handful of spices here at home, will have to get more so we can use this cool thingy.

Been spending time on youtube lately and here are a few channels that I've been following lately, you might want to check them out if you have time.

Last Friday, I went to the mall, I got there okay. Found what I was looking for. On my way home, stopped by McDonald's and got some food. I was 11 blocks away from home. Waited at the North Omaha Transit Center. I know what bus number I was going to take. Waited some more. Finally, bus #18 arrived. The driver said how I was doing. I said, I was ok and asked him the same, he said, he's tired. I paid my fare. First time I didn't asked if the bus would take me to my destination. FIRST TIME that I didn't ask. And it turned out to be something that I would regret.

The bus was going the opposite direction, I just kept quiet, because I thought the bus will just go around as they do on their routes. BUT this particular bus was going to the garage after the route. The driver let me off to a street/bus stop where the same bus number will pass by and take me to my destination. It would have been okay except the next bus didn't come until an hour after. And when that bus finally came, it didn't stop. I hailed it. BUT for some reason, that I still and don't and may not ever know, the bus DIDN'T stop. I was the ONLY one at that stop. I was wearing a red shirt that it would be impossible to miss seeing me. SIGH. I lost it around that time and I cried out of frustration. I was in an area that I'm not familiar with. I was the only one waiting. Only passing cars and other type vehicles come and go. It was a scary time for me. I didn't know if there was a next bus coming since it was getting close to 8pm [good thing, even at that time, the sun was still up].

I waited another 45 minutes when bus #18 came by again, this time, I asked the driver if it was gonna pass by my destination. And thank God it was going that way. Was praying all throughout my wait in that bus stop. 2 hours me thinks. I cried some more when I got home. I'm a cry baby, couldn't help it. There were messages from NG on the machine waiting for me, that he was getting worried that I'm still not home when I told him I will be home around 2 hours earlier. SIGH. We got to talk about it when he got home and he decided, the next time I go out, I'll bring his phone with me, until I get my own. So, I can reach him if something like that happens again. I told him that will not happen again. It was MY mistake for not asking. I always asked the driver if it was going to where I was going the past times that I took the bus. It was the first time that I didn't ask and I paid big time. I rode the bus again last Monday, even transferred to another bus to get to my destination and I asked the driver each time. I learned my lesson. ALWAYS ASK, no matter what.

Met NG at Sam's Club after he got off work. We got some laundry detergent and caffeine for me. Before heading home, passed by Rotella's factory/bakery to get some bread. Got 3 loaves of bread, as we were paying, the cashier told us we were the 100th customer and the bread is free. Hee. That was a good surprise. We got 3 loaves of bread for free and it was the first time that we went there. NG has been telling me that we'd go there but it was only last Monday that we actually did and it turned out a goody one. He said, we'll get our bread at that place from now on and it's way cheaper there vs the other grocery places. Gotta love free bread.

NG and I will have our civil wedding ceremony next Friday. Seems like yesterday that we were talking about that day and now, it will happen in a week. We don't have any preparations for it, it's not really a wedding wedding where there are invitations and the works. It works for us, for now, we couldn't afford a wedding right now. With all the expenses ahead that deals with my status adjustment. It's not cheap. I want to start working soon, so, I can help NG with the expenses. I do have something to wear, will have to get NG's this weekend or on Monday, he doesn't like shopping. MajorDad emailed me and that we should meet and get something for NG. We got the rings, just waiting for it to arrived. I didn't think about the engraving until NG said we should add that. So, we did. Would be arriving this weekend me thinks. And that's about it, we might have lunch the next day after but still not decided since NG doesn't know if people will come. Will see. We got engaged in 2006 and it's 2008, we're still together and actually going through with this. We just have to see where this will take us. Not everyday you can meet someone the way we did and actually have something good come of it. I still can't believe that I'm actually here now...with NG...but it is what it is. One day at a time right? So far, so good. Please include us in your prayers. Will be appreciated. God bless.

Found...

Another weekend once again and as always, I am all for it. I've been having a hard time sleeping the past few weeks...I know rather I feel tired but once I am in bed, sleep just won't go my way. Last night [okay it was around 2am-ish], I started watching this movie Caffeine, American actresses like Mena Suvari and Katherine Heigl have English [I think] accents in this indie film. I fell asleep in the middle of the movie, I finished it when I woke up this morning.

I knew I was really sleepy tired because I left the dvd player on and I only realized it when I continued to watch the movie. Doink to me. I did turn off the TV though, so, at least, that's less electricity consumed for being sleepy. I always make it a point to turn off things when not in use. It's a conscious thingy. Even if I'm not in my own house, I notice things like that. Hee. I keep quiet most of the time. I get on NGs case on that, coz whenever we're chatting, he turns on his AC when he gets home, and it's not just in a room where he's in, then his tv is on while we're chatting. His music is on as well. He told me though that his electric bill is on a fixed rate [$70 if I remember it right] each month, whether he consume a lot of electricity or not, he still pays the same. So, I guess, it's ok to have things turned on even if you're not using it? It still gets to me though.

Our electric bill for last month was Php5,680. I live with my parents and my cousin Alfred. We have a fridge, washing machine, an AC at my parent's room, shower heater [that apparently, I'm the only one who uses each morning...hee], computer, 2 electric fans [used to be 3 but mine died on me, so, each night, I use my parent's fan once their AC is on, need a replacement soon], 2 tv and dvd players, and we have the egg incubator [24/7]. Still, it's a big amount yes? Our house rent is only Php5000 each month. And I don't pay these things, my sisters does, I only get to cover the phone/dsl and I give some money to Mom each week. Not much but I try to give more when I have more. I'm guessing, you get conscious with things like consumed electricity when you're not the one who pays for it? Knowing how not easy it is to earn cash. Heck, it gets to me whenever I see street lights still on each morning. Hee.

Continuing this post after my chat with NG, which kinda ended in a not-so-good mood, the downside of being in a long distance relationship. Arrrghhh. You can't whack them in the head to get your thoughts across. Hee, I'm kidding about that, I'm not a violent person. I mean, being in a regular [same timezone] relationship is tough enough, how much more if you're on different ones. He's sleepy. You just woke up. Or vice versa. But we've been doing this for almost 3 years now, so, we know it happens. We can't always have good moments right? I'm glad the not-so-good moments seldom happens. It's a bitch when it does. Tomorrow is yet another day. Taking is one day at a time.

Do you have a Myspace account? I do. I started it last year to support Jamie Walters and some artists. I took that page down and made a new one 2 weeks ago. And I'm glad I went back. I found out that my cousins/nephews/nieces are on there. It's a good way to keep in touch with them. One of them even have a myspace meant for her fans. She's a calendar gurl. If your nice to me, I might give her public myspace account to you. i noticed too that most people in the USA prefer Myspace than Friendster.

I've had my Friendster profile the longest, most of my the people that I met in person are on there. Recently, I found [or they found me] people from Dataline [the AMA College Paper I was a briefly a part of], I'm happy about that. My former EIC is on my list now.

I have a Multiply page too, I like having it to share pix and music. A friend uploaded the audio books of Harry Potter 1-3. I have downloaded it, I just have to transfer them to my Ipod. Maroon5's latest was uploaded by a friend as well, it's actually better than the album itself since, she had other songs that are Bonus tracks on different versions of the album. I'm waiting for someone to upload KT Tunstall's album. NG has a copy for awhile but it's still unwrapped. Will just have to wait, no point in buying a CD which he already has.

Speaking of CDs that I have. Found out I have 116 in total, I made a list for NG so, he could cross out the ones he already have. So, I won't have to bring it with me if/when I get to go to where he's at. If you find something you like, do tell and I'll upload them via Multiply. Music is good yes? It can be very calming at times. Or if you don't want to talk to anyone, just have your earphones on. Hee.

Randomness. This was taken New Year's Eve 2000 with my family and my cousin Nadine. We looked happy yes? Wish to have a family pic where we're all complete again. Someday soon.

Okays, I think, that will be it for now. I have to get ready for Doctora's birthday dinner. We're dining at Everything at Steak [clever...hee], I just am happy that I'll be seeing them again. Will post pix later. Have a fine day to you. God Bless.

Say Moo...

Heys, it's the weekend once again, thank God! No work days is always goody. Time to catch up on sleep. Time to do chores [laundry and ironing in my case]. Time to do what comes to mind. Zzzzzzzz time for me. Hope your weekend is doing a okay so far. Mine is okay. Had to do some paperwork earlier today though. Then work will resume early Monday morning.

A few weeks ago, read from a friend's LJ about moo cards that livejournal and moo were giving away for FREE. And I'm a sucker for freebies so, why not no? After customizing my moocards and giving out the needed info and all, my free cards arrived last Wednesday the 13th. Whee. The first ever free stuff I got off the internet. Hee.

I don't remember making cards of the same kind but I can't complain, I like them nonetheless. Hee. THEY.WERE.FREE. I have twin faiths.

At the back of the card, you can add your details [email addresses, website addresses and what not and even a pic too], info cards customized by you. Coolness. You can also make photo mini cards at the moo site. In time, I will order more.

The work week has been busy again. [Not complaining just stating a fact..hee...busy next week too...better than not busy...] I realized now that I have a faster internet connection my online time has lessened not because I want to but because I am tired whenever I get home from work. I missed the mails Wednesday to Friday. Acccck. I just sent one email each of that day letting NG know that I will not be able to reply to our usual amount of mails [21 this week], I am hoping I'd be able to be back on the swing of things next week. If you know me, I love emailing and whenever I don't get to do them, I feel a bit antsy. I got used to them each day of the weekday.

Okay, the next couple of pix are R-rated. You might want to cover your eyes. I like pix of men in undies [briefs over boxers...boxerbriefs are fine though...] and it so happens some of my fave male celebs used to be an image model for undies...

It all started with Mark Wahlberg [Marky Mark] back in the early 90s...I think, I still have this particular CK ad in one of my clear books. I missed clear booking.

And of course...my undie guy for the longest time...heee...in my dreams...yeah...I have a clear book devoted to this guy. Those were the days. Sigh. Nowadays, it's very rare that he's on a magazine cover or what not. And he's not even in the BENCH gallery of models the last time I check the site. Bummer.

I don't know who this guy is but I lovelike his ads. Check out his eyes. Wow. [And I mean his eyes!!!] Celebs that I would want to see in their undies would be Matthew McConaughey, Josh Holloway, Patrick Dempsey, Zach Braff...more of my fave guys in undies next time.
