Do to others as you would have them do to you. [Luke 6:31]
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. [Proverbs 3:5]
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. [Hebrews 11:1]

Working Gurl...

  • Wow, can't believe I haven't posted for a month. I'm still here. Just got busy with work. Yay. I have been working for Y for a month now, been good, the job is not rocket science hard. I am liking it. Also, got another part-time job at the B, and I started last Thursday. I can keep both jobs since their hours are different. I was praying about it and I got it. Thank GOD.
  • Will start saving for our trip back in the Philippines and helping out NG with the expenses here at home. I bought groceries last Saturday, that felt good. :)
  • Whenever I'm online, I can be found on Facebook or on Twitter. I haven't abandoned this blog. My online time just decreased a bit. I am not complaining though. Work = Cash. I'm all for cash baby.
  • Have a good one. God bless.

    Grateful Me...

My belated birthday gifty from Mrs. Cook!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE pens!!!

Last weekend, MajorDad gave me 3 boxes [200 packets per box] of Splenda and more coffee. I still have coffee from the one he gave me last November. I don't know why he gave me multiple boxes of Splenda BUT I am grateful. I'm the only one who drinks coffee here at home. He also gave me Honey Nut Cheerios and Apple Juice. I have a generous father in-law. :)

  • I got the part-time job that I applied for last week. Interviewed last Monday, went back on Tuesday for orientation and I will start on Wednesday. My working hours will be from 6am to 12nn. NG said this is a good start since I've no work experience and background in this country. I have to establish a job history then I can find for a full-time job. I'm happy to have a job, even if it's a part-time job, for now.
  • Last Monday, NG and I went to the Card Factory Outlet, that is my happy place. In time, I see myself spending more than 10 minutes in that place. Hee. So many cards, so little time. I love greeting cards!!!
  • Anyhoo, that's about it for now, will play some poker for now. Have a good weekend. God bless.

    What? A Blog? From me?...

I wish I could sign. Both images from Post Secret.

  • Something To Do...got this from my archive...thought I'd update it a bit...

Ten Years Ago: The year was 1998. I was 22. Started working for Uncle Boss if memory serves me right. Litemail was getting active as the days go by.

Five Years Ago: 2003. Attended my 10-year HS dinner/reunion. It was nice seeing some of my batchmates again. Even saw some guys who grew up nicely. Hee.

One Year Ago: April 2007. Not much going on. Keeping the long distance relationship going with NG. Nadine turned 8. Tatay turned 61.

Last month: March 2008. Had my medical examination for the visa interview requirement. It wasn't fun. Took two days. Been sick for almost a week for some reason that I had to go to the doctor for a check-up a week before my medical examination. Thank God it wasn't something major. I don't like being sick. Sigh. It's not fun to be in bed all day/night. SisterM was here for a month-long, much-needed, much-deserved vacation. Happy month.

Yesterday: Woke up from NG's text message. He was bummed that he had to take an hour extra at his 2nd job coz two people didn't show up. Chat was postponed because he didn't set the alarm for him to wake up for our chat. Times when I wish that I'm not in a long-distance relationship. Sucks at times. When you want to be there for someone but you can't since you're apart. Sucks. Big time. Sigh. I distracted myself from feeling sad about that fact by doing my weekend chores: handwashing my undies and ironing my clothes. Played computer games too. Napped in the afternoon. It was a lazy Sunday for me.

  • This is the last week of April 2008. Where did the months go? Why does it feel fast yet it's slow at the same time? Am I making sense? I have a tummy ache right now. Does drinking coffee makes you do #2? Listening to David Cook's version of ALWAYS BE MY BABY on loop. [LOVE the version...] It's 3am-ish and I'm still awake. This is one of them days. Monday blues. I have somewhere to be today. Might miss work or the first half of it. Good thing it's a light work week as far as I know. I went to the dentist last weekend, had some work done, cost almost 20000 pesos. Yikes. The money I saved wasn't enough, had to borrow from my sisters. What else? Oh, I found out I can connect my Nokia6300 phone to my computer. Yay. I was able to transfer songs and pictures from my computer to my phone. I tried transferring a game but the file type is not supported by my phone. That's okay. I am happy that I was able to transfer songs and pics. I am tired but not that sleepy. Will just go for now. Have a fine last week of April 2008. Thanks for reading my blog. I am trying to keep my faith in every aspect there is. God Bless.

February Twenty Five Twenty Oh Eight...

  • From Post Secret
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to sign? I never learned how to do this. I still could learn yes?

  • Korean baby covers Hey Jude...you must watch this...

  • From Monday's a Bitch:
    1. Did you watch the Oscars last night? What did you think of them?
Woke up late for it. Saw bit parts. Saw James McAvoy. Not much into awards shows now than I used to.

    2. Have you ever called in sick to work when you weren't really sick? What did you spend the day doing instead?
I try not to because karma is a bitch. The few times I've had, I just stayed in my room, whenever I feel down or something, it's not just easy to get up and pretend that you're okay when in fact, you're not, if you know what I mean.

    3. In school did you ever have to serve detention? What for?
I cut class and got caught. First time I did it AND I got caught. Never did it again after that.

    4. Have you ever had food poisoning? What did you eat that caused it?
No food poisoning. Though, I remember, years ago, during lunch, I ate just a bit of rice and pork asado, then ate LOTS of watermelon, was throwing up for quite a while.

    5. Do you have any tattoos? If not, would you ever consider getting one?
I don't have any though there are times I wish I'd get one but I'm not too keen on the needles.

  • I don't get to watch Gossip Girl but isn't this guy too good looking? There are gay rumors buzzing around him, that he's with JC Chasez of NSYNC. One time, it was a news bit on ET that he's with Carrie Underwood. Hmmm. I don't care what his sexual preference is, he's easy on the eyes, I don't even know if he's a good actor. Hee. Not crushing on him but you just can't help but notice his good looks yes? Oh, his name is Chase Crawford btw.

  • Kids say the darndest things: [a brief conversation between me and my 8-year-old cousin Nadine]:
Nadine: Ate, ano ba yung condom, yun frenzy? [apparently she saw in on a TV commercial]
Me: Hindi mo pa maiintidihan kahit explain ko sa'yo, pag laki mo na lang.
Nadine: Try mo, baka maintindihan ko...
[She forgot about her question once we got to the chocolates section inside Watsons...heee...As far as I can remember, we just learn about those things as we grow up no? I can't remember how I learned about condoms. And even if I do remember, I will not tell it here. Hee. I do have a condom I got free from a Cosmo mag a few years ago, I have to find it and get rid of it, they have expiration right? The packet it came with is purple, that's why I kept it, I guess. A FRIENDS episode is flashing back right now, Ross calling the condom company...hee. I miss FRIENDS.]

  • I celebrated my birthday with the EBC gurls. We had body massages before our crabs, tofu and palabok dinner. We were online after dinner. We helped Eee start her own Multiply and Facebook accounts, yay. No VS, imagine that? No one really craved for it. Coffee, tea, popcorn and cakes are what kept us awake until we parted ways at 6am. It was a good way of celebrating my birthday. I pray I get to celebrate it with them again sometime soon.

  • This is the last week of February 2008. Where did it go? Next week, my youngest sister will be here for a month-long vacation. I can't wait for her to have it because she's been really swamped with work. Getting her vacation wasn't easy either. Her bosses didn't want her to go because they need her a lot. I told her that could by why the person before her resigned, because of too much work load. Hee. But she enjoys what she do. I think, I can say, she's pretty blessed that she enjoys what she does for a living. If only I could afford to give her a Macbook Pro for her birthday next month, I would, maybe someday, somehow. It's not impossible, will just take some time to get that. Can't wait to see her again next week. Yay. It was July 2006 that she was last here. I still am praying and wishing that one day, we'd all be in one timezone and we'll all just be a phone call away. Distance can be a bitch, thankful for the internet, text messaging that keeps us closer in some ways.
  • Have a good week ahead. Keep the faith and God Bless.

    Step by Step...

  • They really are having a comeback...wheee...

  • Got the pictures below at NKOTB Fans...these brings back memories. Had these posters in my room wall back in the day. Wow. I think, I still have some of the posters/magazine pictures of the guys. I have to look for them though. Had the biggest crush on Jonathan Knight, he was the quiet one among the bunch.

  • I didn't go to work today. Was just in bed all day/afternoon. I just got up now to update the dailybread. Sigh. Body's aching. Cough and Cold. I don't like being sick. I have to go to work tomorrow, it's a busy work week. Must go back to bed now. God Bless.

    I Don't Feel Too Good...

  • The weekend is almost over. Had a lazy one, as always. Stayed at home. Cheaper that way. Been feeling under the weather since Saturday afternoon, it's late Sunday night right now and I'm really feeling under the weather. I don't like being sick. Who does? Sigh.
  • It's bound to be a busy work week, so, I cannot take a sick day off but I know, if I really need to stay home, I can. Uncle Boss will let me stay home for sure. For now, I think, I can work tomorrow, it's just gonna be another day waiting at the Bureau anyways.
  • Chat with NG tonight since he got Sunday off this week, then another full weekend off the weekend of 23rd and 24th. All good.
  • I downloaded LOST Season 4 Episodes 0 and 1 via utorrent, it took hours, of course, finished around 2am-ish, and I was watching it at 3am-ish. Damn that show. A friend told me not to download anymore and she'll just burn me a copy. I told her, I think, I'll just wait when there are more episodes to watch, I don't like anticipating each week for a new episode. I'd rather watch one episode after another. A marathon. I'll just wait for now.
  • Downloaded other stuff off the utorrent thingy, got me albums of Joshua Radin [don't really like the whole album], Robin Thicke [me lovey], Colbie Caillat [sounds goody for a first album], Ingrid Michaelson [she grows on you], and Natasha Bedingfield [love her...love the album]...if you're on my Multiply list, will upload them there to share.
  • Also, been checking sites of resorts of Boracay and Bohol for SisterM, so far, their Bora is done. Just need confirmation for their Bohol trip. Picked up their tickets last Thursday night at CebuPacific Robinson's Galleria. Could have it sent via email but I didn't have a credit card, paid in cash. Found a few resorts at Bora that have nice websites like Beachcomber Boracay and Red Coconut. Makes you wanna go there if only money is not an issue. Hee.
  • I'm not a Piolo Pascual fan but when I saw this commercial, I was like...wow...what a guapo Cupid he is. Love his eyes. Man.
  • It'll be my birthday on Saturday. I'll turn 32. I can't believe it sometimes. But I'll be that young. Hee. I'll spend it with a few gurl friends. NG will not be here this time though since he'll be coming in March. Was nice spending 2 consecutive birthdays with him. And to think, I used to spend my birthdays alone, yes, would go to the mall and just go about things, there was one year, I played Bingo for the heck of it. Hee. And spending it with people you like is good too. I like it better. Here's to being happy on my birthday.
  • Here's to a good week ahead. God Bless.

    My Favorite Month...

This was the cover of the latest W Magazine. Saw it at a magazine store and I wanted to buy. It was Php599 though. I changed my mind. I don't wanna splurge on a magazine just because hottie McAvoy was on the cover.

Look at him! Hummina Hummina! Hotness! Hoping I'd get the mag on sale and take this pic and have it mounted on wood and/or plastic. It's been awhile since I had the urge to have a guy's pic mounted on wood. He's hot right? Or is it just me?

From Post Secret. Just gotta have perspective yes? We have so much more than what other people have. Must focus on the good in life than the bad. Easier said than done, I know. Keep our faiths. We must.

10 Ways to Bring the Sacred into Everyday Life

    Leave Work Earlier Than Usual
There is always one more phone call or one more email. Consciously stopping early once a week (at least one half-hour) affirms that we do not just live to work, but work as part of living.

Let Go of the Work Week
Cease doing and worrying about the work of the week. Practice gently letting go of thoughts and concerns about work that inevitably pop into mind and take over. Eventually these thoughts soften and recede. Sometimes I take a more scenic route home to help clear my mind.

    Turn It Off
Set aside your BlackBerry, turn off your computer, set your cell phone to silent, at least as it relates to work. See how your consciousness shifts and how it doesn't. If you feel incredibly uneasy and even destabilized, you are being invited to discern new ways of taking control of your life.

Eat a Special Meal with Family or Friends
Taking time to reconnect to those we love expands our sense of who we are. Savoring our food (a new recipe once a week adds adventure) deepens our connection to the material world; candlelight invites us to bring forth more light from within and see beyond the surface.

    Make Love with Intention
Take pleasure in the sensual part of life. Set aside a time to engage in some activity that creates greater intimacy with someone you love.

Give a Blessing to a Child in Your Life
Remember what it was like to feel genuinely blessed by an adult in your life. In a world in which children are so vulnerable, an adult's blessing is transformative and life-affirming.

    Experience the Beauty of Nature
Take a walk or a bike ride; go for a drive or a hike. Experiencing the awe and wonder and amazement of the natural world creates a reverence for life--and gives the enlivening and ethical sense that we are each an interconnected part of such an infinite cosmos.

    Engage in a Contemplative Practice
Find a contemplative, reflective, or centering practice that you can do regularly. This can take the form of reading from a wisdom text, listening to music that touches your soul, looking at art that engages the heart, or engaging in more traditional prayer or meditation. Try not to listen to the news.

    Laugh
Laughter is a signal of transcendence. It reminds us that no matter what is happening in our lives, this too shall pass; it helps us to hold our absolutes humbly and keeps us from taking ourselves too seriously--all qualities that insure we can deal with whatever life throws at us.

    Express Gratitude
Find five things for which to be grateful over the past week. Consciousness is like tofu. Its taste completely depends on what it is marinated in. When we "marinate" our consciousness in gratitude, we become more grateful people.

    Bonus Practice: Take a Nap
Sleep restores the body, refreshes the spirit, and is the place of dreams.

  • Wanna make a million? Click me. Interesting, I must say.
  • It's February, my birth month and have to say one of my favorite months [the other being December]. I'll turn 32 this month. Yep. Can't believe that I'm 30-something sometimes but that's that. Just have to accept as the number of years add up each year. We can't prevent that. Just have to accept and live with it. Hee.
  • I'm not really into celebrating much. Been doing an alone day on my day for years. Though, that has changed recently because I have people who I like to celebrate it with. My EBC gurlfriends and for two consecutive birthdays, NG was here. So, that was quite a change indeed. This year, NG will not be here since we have to move his arrival until March so he could meet my youngest sister. And hopefully, we'd get that something that we both been waiting for since August 2006. Praying about it.
  • On my birthday, I hope to have a body massage with my gurlfriends. I hope we're all free on that day. Then dinner. Maybe, a quick VS? I don't know, it's been awhile since we had a VS coz of different things going on in our lives. I got busy at work. Doctora got busy with school. Eeee got even more busy with things. [Hee] Mrs. G busy with work too. We're all busy but it's
a must to get together once in a while to catch up yes? And hopefully, will get to do that on my birthday.
  • And if you're thinking of giving me something for my birthday, will make it easy for you, two words, BIRTHDAY CARD. Email me for my home address if you're up for it. Hee.
  • 2nd month of 2008 is here. This work week is quite busy for me. I am hoping won't encounter any hassles along the way. Praying about it.
  • Here's wishing a good February for you and me. God Bless.

    What's New?...Not Much Really...

My cousins and I just amused ourselves even if we're irritated inside since some people wanted to see what is inside our client's container. It's a regular shipment for crying out loud. They just want to see. Fine. Waste a day, come back the next day to have it examined. Grrrr. We now have 3 pieces of bottles, the next time they want to have it opened, will just show them the bottle, I hope that would suffice. Ah ewan AND if they thought they'd get something from having our client's container opened, boohoo, didn't get that group of people a single peso. Serves them right. They "examined" the containers they know they will not see any fault. Grrrr to them. You have straight papers and yet, you still get harassed by this effing people. That is not work for me, if you're becoming a hassle to someone else. Ah ewan. We have the same shipment this week, I wonder if we'll get by the mickey mouse club.

I finally got my passport last Tuesday. No corrections. Yay. I was asked by a friend why I didn't just had it delivered. My reason was, if there will be any corrections, at least, I'm there to have it corrected. Thankfully, no corrections. I saw some people who had corrections on their passports. I feel bad for them. After falling in line after line, they don't get your passport information right, that'll make me angry.

My nephew Dylan turned 7 last week, we had his birthday celebration last Sunday @ Shakeys. It went fine. A good turnout. We're happy we got to do that for him. We didn't get to have that kind of celebration back when we turned 7. I remember, I had a party as well, even had lechon, but times are changing.

    CUTENESS times two...

My cousins wanted to take one baby home...heee...God bless them babies.

  • Heath Ledger passed away last week. Sad.
  • Novak Djokovic won the 2008 Australian Open. Happy for him.
  • I recommend Atonement. James McAvoy can CRY. Men who can cry, gotta love them
  • NKOTB [New Kids On The Block] will have a comeback? Hmmm. Interesting.
  • Maroon5 tix are pricey for me, might not go, don't know.
  • LOST starts its new season this week.
  • NG turned 36 last Friday, he said, he's old. I told him not to say that in front of my other friends who are a few years older than him. Or else, he'll get whacked in the head. Hee.
  • I wanna watch Alvin and the Chipmunks. Jason Lee is in it.
  • I'm doing a "project" on the emails NG and I have been exchanging since December 2004, it's not easy as I thought it would be. NG sent me 11588 emails as of today and I replied to most, if not all of them, multiply that by two, that'll be 23176 emails. Sheesh. I don't think I'm gonna finish that "project." I planned on it back in 2006 but just got keep getting set aside and now, the number of emails is overwhelming. Oh well. At least, I don't have a deadline. Whatever. I started 2 weeks ago. And I only got as far as emails dated January 13, 2005. Might not finish this "project" if I get tired. Hee. We were crazy kids for sending 20++ emails a few years ago. Nowadays, it's just 3 or 4 mails a day during the week, we get rest on emails during the weekends. In time, no more mails, if things work out as we hope they will be. Praying on that. 3 years of long distance is quite enough me feels. It's time for short distance, wanna try that soon.
  • This is the last week of January 2008. Can you believe it? I can't. Time is really an AMAZING thing.
  • Here's hoping we have a good last week of January 2008. Keeping the faith. God Bless.

    Philippine Goverment Offices...

  • Last Friday, I went to the DFA [Department of Foreign Affairs] to have my passport renewed. I woke up at 4am, had breakfast, showered, dressed and was out of the house by 5am. It was still dark at that time, in fact, it was still dark at 6am. Was at the vicinity of the DFA at 6:30am, I thought I was quite early [when I applied for a passport in 2003, got there at 7am and the people were a lot but it was only 1/4th of the people who were there last Friday] but there were already hundreds in line. Went to the back of the line and each seconds passed the line kept on getting longer. They let people in at 9am. Yep. To get inside the vicinity of the DFA, it took me almost 3 hours.
  • Once inside the vicinity, made my way to the basketball court, where STEP1 [I really don't know what they do here, they basically number your application form], the line I was while outside was totally disregarded for a new line was formed. I didn't know I had to hurry to line up. I took my sweet time walking. I should have run. It was another long line to face. Finished Step 1 around 11am-ish. Waited for another 2 hours, at this time, we were still in line, some were lucky they had seats, I wasn't one of those people. Had to buy crackers and gatorade because I was hungry. [had my breakfast at 4am remember].
  • Around almost 2pm, the line going to another building, for STEP2 [they check your documents here, if you lack one or two, you just have to go back next time, I guess.] The lines will be segregated once you're inside the building, though, there's still a line for each. Fairly fast though. Especially for renewals. At 3pm, was finished with Step2. Here's what I don't get, why don't they check the documents early on? I mean, new applicants have already lined up for hours only to find out when they reach Step2 that they will not be able to go on because they lack a document or two? Isn't that plain common sense? AND I think, they should have a separate line for renewals and new applicants, that way, the people who are just there to renew will finish early and more people will be accommodated. SIGH.
  • Had to go to another line in going to the Auditorium [where Steps 3 & 4 are], took about half an hour to get inside that Auditorium. Step 3 is just where you pay for the fee. Php750 for 7 working days. Php500 for 14 working days. That was fairly fast. Another line is formed for Step4, they have chairs and the place is air-conditioned, so, at least, it wasn't that excruciating than when lining up for getting inside the vicinity and Steps 1 and 2.
  • More than 30 minutes have passed before I was called to have my data encoded and stuff. That went fairly quick. Thumb print. Signature. Then it was FINALLY over at 4pm.
  • Was really tired at this point. I got there fresh and all and I left that place [that you will hate] feeling frustrated and kept asking myself, if that is an everyday thing, why don't they do something about it?
  • On the news last Sunday, a new online application will be available for those people who wants to renew their passport. The news bulletin on the DFA website was dated January 11. That was the day I decided to go since I had a light day at work and I can take the day off. SIGH. Grrrr to DFA.
  • So, if you want to have your Philippine passport renewed and you have the budget, go thru a travel agency, or try that online thingy. Call up their hotline number 7371000 to ask for requirements and such.
  • CAUTION to new applicants. DON'T BELIEVE those people outside the DFA when they tell you that you will not get in without an application form [the forms are FREE and AVAILABLE once you are inside the vicinity] and DON'T believe them if they tell you that your picture is not the right one. If ever your picture will be invalid, there is a photo booth inside the Auditorium [where Steps 3 & 4 is located] and only in Step4 will you FIND OUT if your picture is valid. Just to make sure that you will have the right one, call up the hotline before heading out to the DFA office, they give specific requirements on how the picture should be. And if you go to a studio photo place, I feel, they already know how the picture should be once you tell them it's for passport purposes. Bring a book or an ipod. Though, with all those people around you, someone is bound to talk to you. I met 3 gurls [Lyn, Tess and Estela]. One lost her passport and returning to Japan where his husband is, one is a new applicant bound for Spain, one is renewing hers and returning to Kuwait. After Step2 though, I didn't see them anymore. I wonder why. I hope they will get theris soon. I will go back to that place on the 22nd to get my passport. Praying no mistakes on spelling of my names or wrong date of birth and what not.
  • Okay, not all our government offices are inefficient. Went to the National Statistics Office website and you now can request for a copy of your birth certificate or marriage certificate and what not online. Then you just have to pay at any BDO or Unionbank branches and it'll be delivered to you in under a week, I think.
  • Let's go back to being inefficient, the Post Office, or like my friend calls it, the LOST office. NG sent me a CD December 17th. A Christmas card was supposed to be included but he lost it on his way to the Post Office. Anyhoo, he paid $18 and marked it EXTREMELY URGENT, so it'll get to me around Christmas time. He was told it'll take about a week to 10 days max. I got the notice from the Philippine Post Office last Friday [January 11th], what boggles me is, the item was already written as to what is inside that plastic package. They just wanted to get Php35 [processing fee] from me when I get it personally. SIGH. NG is pissed about that. Not only because he lost the Christmas card [he did send me another one that following week, which, I STILL haven't gotten. I'm NOT surprised!] when he mailed that and it cost him more than it should. If only he listened to me when I told him not to send that CD and just bring it when he comes over. Oh well. NG can be stubborn at times. Hee. I must get used to that no? But he did that so I could have something for Christmas aside from other things he got me. I'm most excited about the Christmas card though. I didn't get much this year but that's okay. There's always next Christmas. [that's a hint to all those friends and family reading this...heee]
  • I could give you more dirt on our government offices [I work alongside one] but I think, that's enough for now. I just needed to let that out. I'm still frustrated. I want my almost 10 hours of January 11 back. Bleh to you DFA. My sisters are renewing their passports in Dubai as I asked them to.
  • It's a brand new week. Hoping it'll be an okay one. Must log off and spend time playing Mystery Case Files : Madame Fate [THANK you Pia!]. May you have a good week. God Bless.

    Pictures and what not...

Gotta love those lines on Ewan's forehead. I miss seeing this guy in movies. I still have to watch The Island. I read somewhere he's doing a movie with Hugh Jackman. Double Hummina Hummina. That's 4 humminas.

My FRIENDS calendar thru the years, I think, I started buying the calendar in 2002 or 2003, the calendars were locally available at Odyssey at that time. It became my Christmas gift to myself each year.

Bought this thru my friend Dino's friend in London. Yee.

Nurse A gave us this calendar. Thank you, thank you very much.

NG gave me this one. Even if FRIENDS has ended since 2005, the calendar is still one of the best sellers at danilo.com.

My first Havaianas. Ain't it cute? Mrs. G gave it to me. For some reason, I can't make myself buy those one of those flipflops. Hee. I'd rather spend on shoes than on slippers. That's just me.

Saw this on JZ's blog. This will be my first purchase for the year. I think, I still haven't finished Twisted Travels. Now, where did I put that book? Must find. Hee.

  • It's a Wednesday night. Two more work days and it's another weekend. Can't wait. I just want to get more rest. Been feeling uber lazy when 2008 started. How about you?
  • The start of the work week for me wasn't so good. GRRRRR to a few people at the Bureau for giving us a hard time. Sad fact about how things are in the Bureau, when you do your work straight and you pay everything right, you still have to show some proof why you're paying that amount, EVEN IF it's already HIGH. They want to get more from you. BUT when your work is not straight, less than an hour, you will be finished, THOUGH, you'd really shell out money. SAD BUT TRUE. Whenever I encounter those kinds of people at the Bureau, that's the time that I dislike the goverment offices. Corruption abounds. Red tape. Welcome to the Philippines.
  • Anyhoo, I'm just pissed at a few people at the work place. I'm praying next week will be a better work week for us. The more I am looking forward to March, so, I can have my two weeks off once again.
  • Here's hoping your work week is better than mine. God Bless.

    Blogged Out...

HUMMINA, HUMMINA, HUMMINA!!! Want to have this. Haven't found it yet. Maybe, this weekend.

Baby shower for one of my HS friends and pre-Halloween dinner. It was a good turn out. Only a few missed it. Even if most of my friends arrived way past over the 3pm call time, we still had fun. Laughed a lot. Played Taboo and Charades. I'll see them again in December for our yearly Christmas get-together.

Met a few of my Grade school friends and our former teacher for a late lunch last Monday. We tried and sometimes was successful in remembering people and events back in our Grade school days. We'll meet again mid of this month. Yay. All good.

Nadine and me...she's growing up so fast.

  • Been trying to come up with an entry for some time now, I don't know, just been busy, I guess. I am usually tired whenever I get online. Just have time to e-mail NG and check my groups and what not. Not much surfing has been done the last few weeks.
  • I do spend some time playing the TV and Music Trivia on Facebook. I don't really get to browse that site, so much going on. But I'm enjoying the TV/Music trivia.
  • 53 days before Christmas. I'm thinking of making my own cards again but I don't have much time. Oh well. Will figure something out.
  • Can't tell you much right now, so, will just have to go. I'm on a 4-day no work days. Filipinos are so spoiled in having non-working holidays. Oh well. I wanted to share my work day but it's been the longest day ever and thinking about it makes me tired. So, I won't talk about it anymore. Hee.
  • Have a good November. I'm hoping the same for me as well. God Bless.

    Friday the 12th...

  • I'm at home today. It's a declared holiday. No work. Was in bed all day. I got some zzzz time as well. Been having an off time with my sleeping lately with my sleeping. I finally got up around 11am-ish. All good. I had my breakfast [taho] then maybe, will have lunch later. It's almost 1pm now. Not hungry yet. Just relaxing on an extra non-working day. Hope your day is okay as well.

  • Started watching BROTHERS & SISTERS last Sunday night. I'm liking it so far. I'm on episode 18 now. It's a family drama. Go watch it when you can. I also like the songs played on the show. Will probably finish it later. Then will start with the 7th and final [SIGH] season of the Gilmore Girls. Another favorite show ended. Oh well. Me thinks, B&S is the replacement on my drama genre show.

Took these images last week at work when I had one of our client's refrigerated containers examined. It's more like open and close. I took pics because the assigned examiner to me didn't get to go the examination area. And I gave her 600 for that. Hah. Whatever. That's how things are done way way way before I started working in this line of work. People with the least things done gets the most money. We practically pay for their signatures. Oh well.

Nice? Me thinks so. Impulsive me though. Why is it tough to save and so easy to spend it like that? This could be my Christmas gift to myself. Hee. I felt guilty for getting it the first few days since we're experiencing money issues but didn't get to resist it. Oh well. I will try to be more vigilant in saving money next time.

My sis-in-law gave me this bag. Sweet bag. Whee. I'm not used to shoulder bags but this one I lovelike. The size is right. Wish it had more pockets inside to put stuff in though. Now, I'm thinking of getting a wallet. [YES, I don't have a wallet, don't give me that look...hee...] I've survived not having one since high school. I do have a coin purse from SisterJ though. Hmmm, maybe, I'll get a wallet soon. Will see. If I find something that I like, I just might.

We had VS last weekend. It was just supposed to be dinner since Doctora and Eee wasn't feeling okay. But on the way home, decided to get Vodka Cruisers first, then after a few minutes, just decided to get a bottle of Absolut. We got pizza at 3am. Hee. Doctora didn't get to join us though but she knew the VS was gonna happen. Mrs G and I had 4 glasses of AbCoke. Eeee had 3 of her AbFourseasons. We all got dizzy after. Maybe because we drank fast. I don't know. Last time for me prior to that was back in February. We have 3/4 full of Absolut left. Sidenote: Passed by Cherry Foodarama last night with my cousins, the 1 liter of Absolut Vanilia was only 688 pesos. Hmmm. I was tempted to get one. That's one of my faves Absoluts along with the original Blue and Apeach.

Bob and Rix: WE WANT VODKA TOO!!! Hee. They were actually waiting on Eeee to give them more pizza but she was busy with the Ipod Touch.

  • Okays, me thinks that's it for now. Have a good weekend. God Bless.

    Five Ninety Nine...

My all-time crush [hee] is back on TV via Lastikman, yes, I know, I won't be able to watch that show but I'm still happy he's appearing on TV again. Kampanerang Kuba was the last show he was in if I remember it right. I wish he'd have a BENCH ad sometime in the future again. He'll always be my Bench man.

My cousin Nadine called me awhile ago to tell me if it's okay that my Christmas gift for her is 599. Hee. She said, she saw something from a magazine of Toy Kingdom and the price is 599 pesos. I told her if I get her that gift she'll not be surprise anymore. She said, doesn't matter, she really like that 599 thingy [that I have yet to see on the magazine when I am at their house again]. I was smiling when she kept asking if it's okay that it's 599, if not, I could tell my sisters to send the money and I'll buy it. Funny lil gurl Nadine. Kids don't have any pressure about the value of money no? Wish I'm still a kid sometimes. Gotta love her and I'm thinking she will get that 599 thingy for Christmas.

  • It's been a busy work week for me. I'm so glad it's the weekend once again. No work for two days. Yay. Hope your week went okay.
  • It was my parents 33rd anniversary last Thursday. 33 years. I wonder if I will have that with someone in this lifetime? Would be nice to be able to be in your 60s and still be with one person yes? I still wonder how my Nanay can put up with my Tatay's "habits" ... I can't stand it for most part. Hee. I guess, it's love no? I'm happy they are still together. Lots more to come I pray.
  • Just found out that NG doesn't use his closets at home. His undies are in a big bag or laundry basket. Hah. A bit surprised but I know it was possible. He claims he's not messy though, he's just not organized. Hmmm. I guess, I'll find out in time no? I hope I can handle it just fine.
  • Also, he signed up for a raffle to be able to buy Spice Girls concert tickets awhile back. He got an email last Monday that he may buy tickets now but the show is in Vegas. He did the math for flights and hotel and what not. He decided not to go since he said, he's saving up for his trip here soon. He's a Spice Girl fan. Every weekend he plays one of their CD as we chat. I hope they add more tours near his area so, he could go and watch. Praying on that.
  • We'll have dinner and VS [finally again, after quite a long time, last time for me was back in February] with the gurls tomorrow night. Bound to be a good one. Will drink away my worries for now. It'll all be okay yes? I hope so.
  • Anyhoo, must go to bed, I'm sleepy tired. Hope you have a good weekend and I'm hoping I'd have a good one too. God Bless.

    Checking In...

Saw Elliott Yamin @ Trinoma last night. Was goody to hear him sing live. Aileen and I didn't get free stubs since when we got there the stubs were all gone. They started giving them out at 10am. We were all at work at that time. Mano got there later than us but since she had a Press Pass she was able to get near Elliott, even got a pic taken with him. Hee. She was on fangurl mode clicking her camera away. [We saw her from the 3rd floor where Aileen and I were in]. Go Elliott!

Grade 2 pic. I was Nadine's age when that pic was taken. Hee. Can you tell which one is me? One schoolmate from Grade school recently found me on Friendster, I honestly can't remember how he looked but I do remember his name. Then after a few exchange of emails, we thought of having a group for whoever we can find from Grade school. So far, we're 8 people in the group. Hee. Why I never thought to search for people from Grade school before is beyond me. Hee. I still remember a few names. Funny though, how my school mate remembered a lot from GS and I don't. DAMN. Is my memory that bad? We graduated from GS in 1989. Yikes. That's a LONNNNGGGG time ago. Goody to get in touch again with people from the past.

The new Ipod Nano with video. LD showed it to us last night over dinner. He's gonna review the new 8GB Nano with video along with a 160GB [my computer hard disk is on 40GB] Ipod with video. Ain't his job cool? What will you do with 160GB though? That's too much. Hee. Though the new Nano is really nice to look at.

    SIGH. I miss them.

  • Been a busy work week. Tiring. All good though. More of the work thingy this coming week. I dislike the Bureau for implementing things that is not needed. Why x-ray the same item each week from a multi-national company? GRRRRRRR to them. BIG TIME. It's a time consuming thingy. VERY TIME CONSUMING. They should just choose the ones that they have to put under x-ray examination and not importers who pay the right duties and taxes. GRRRRR to them.
  • Anyhoo, can't say much right now. Hee. I'm sleepy tired and not feeling good. Hoping that October will be a better month for you and me. God Bless.
