I Still Heart Them...

  • It's 1:15am and I can't sleep. I've finished updating the daily bread, that you can find here and here. I just finished browsing thru the folders in my hard disk and I found these images that has been with me for years...heee...can't seem to let go of them. I have saved and deleted lotsa images thru the years but I can't seem to delete the images below...I wonder why...let me ponder on that...AS IF!

  • Mr. Jomari Yllana, he will always be my bench man...he hasn't been on a Bench ad in recent years but I have enough ads in my collection to remember that he had good years with Bench. I know I had good years seeing his billboards and what not. I started patronizing Bench because of him. Believe it or not. It's my way of supporting him. Not that it matters to him but whatever...I'm just babbling here. I still haven't updated the website that I made for this guy. Just need more time and the motivation to do it.

Mr. Jamie Walters, 90s musician [he released 3 solo CDs and also was the front man of the fictional band, The Heights]; actor [tv shows: The Heights and BH90210; movies: Shout and Mumbo Jumbo, I've only seen Shout though, I still have it on VHS, it was an okay movie, since I'm a fan, I liked it. Nowadays, Jamie's a firefighter in LA California, married with 4 kids [3 girls, 1 boy], he has a MySpace account out there. And a semi-active yahoogroup [which I'm a proud member of...and thru that yahoogroup back in 2000 met a guy from Nebraska, who would have thought eh?], maybe, someday, he'll release an acoustic cd. That would be a treat. Indeed.

Lex and Clark, the last time I watched Smallville was back on its 3rd season, I think, they're on their 6th now, I'm not sure...but I still love this two guys. Lucky Lana Lang on this pic. Hee.

Zach [aka JD on Scrubs] and Tom [aka Ed Steves on ED], they played brothers on SCRUBS. I like them both, I like Ed more...but I like Zach too...I like them both. Period.

Andrew Shue aka Billy from Melrose Place...Sigh. Enough said. I can't remember where I got this pic from.

    A teenage John Cusack...isn't he a cutie?

  • Okays, must go back to bed and try to zzzzz...I must remember this, from a recent daily bread, If you have trouble getting to sleep, try resting in the Lord.;
"I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety." Psalm 4:8
  • With that, I say good nitey to you. God Bless.

    Eight Today...

  • My favorite cousin Nadine, is 8 years old today. Seems like yesterday that she was just a tiny teeny 2 week old baby. I love this gurl. She always makes me smile after a day's work. Happy Birthday Nadoinks...
  • Happy Blessed Easter to you. God Bless.

    My Weekend with John...

I spent my weekend with John Cusack. Watched movies with him on it, is what I mean. I started with the movie Runaway Jury, I like talkie movies and this one I can consider a talkie movie. It was based on a John Grisham novel. The last movie I've seen that was based on a Grisham novel was, I believe, The Pelican Brief. That was some time ago. Anyhoo, as always, John is hummina hummina. I'm biased of course. He's always gonna be hummina hummina for me. I love whenever he's talking, good talking voice he's got. Love love love John. The movie was exciting. Was really looking forward as how the movie was gonna end. It also starred Rachel Weisz, Gene Hackman, Dustin Hoffman. Me likey the movie. Can't do a review of sorts but it's a good one in my book, not just because John was in it. Hee.

Next was Identity, the said movie can be considered a thriller-suspense one. Again, John is yummina in the movie. Hee. At the beginning of the movie, I thought, I knew what was going on but as the movie goes on, I got lost a bit and I actually liked the little twist towards the end. An okay John Cusack for me once again. Amanda Peet and Ray Liotta were also in the movie.

I didn't get to watch this movie over the weekend. Maybe, I'll watch it later. I've had the dibidi since early last year. Got a bit busy [as expected] at work Monday and Tuesday and didn't have much time to watch movies whenever I get home from work. I ended up just sleeping after I'm done with NGs mails. My 5 favorite John Cusack movies would have to be: Say Anything, Serendipity, The Sure Thing, Pushing Tin and Runaway Jury.

  • How are you spending the extended Holy Week break? I hope it'll be a good one for us. Anyhoo, must get out of here for now. I'm sleepy tired. I did some laundry earlier. Tiring but had to do it. It was okay, I was able to take care of it. Was done after almost 3 hours. 2 jeans. 3 shirts. 3 tops. 3 shorts and a week and half's worth of undies since I got lazee last Sunday to wash them. Will do it again this weekend so it will not pile up.
  • Leaving you with today's daily bread verse,
I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety. --- Psalm 4:8 and
IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE GETTING TO SLEEP, TRY RESTING IN THE LORD.
  • Have a fine long weekend break. God Bless.

    It's Your Birthday...

A birthday shoutout going out to SisterM, she's 27 today...wow...imagine that. She's the youngest in the family. A cry-baby [like me...]. An accident prone [was in the middle of a burning bed that my brother accidentally lit with a match back when she was a baby, fell from the stairs and had her leg cast, was hit by a tricycle back in elementary, she hit a concrete wall head-on while playing badminton, I'm not sure she had any in Dubai though...I hope and pray not.] Good with the graphics arts thingy. [that happens to be her line of work...] Likes to read, watch Korean series and US series, and currently, she's building her video/songs collection on her Ipod. I never thought that she'd [and my other sister] will be working outside the country. I always thought, we'd be doing that together, someday, somehow, we'd all be in one area again. I like to be close with them if possible. Someday, somehow. Happy birthday Lowy...

After the Ellen show, I watched One Hour Photo to kill time while waiting for American Idol on ABC5. Yes, it's a few years old movie, I still have about 30-40 movies that I have yet to watch on dvd and the said movie was one of them. Robin Williams was creepy good in it. Scary to think that our photo-guy might do the same as what he did. I liked the movie. Later tonight, I might watch Million Dollar Baby or Match point. Just catching up with my movie watching before I watch the current releases.

  • It's already a Thursday, bound to be a busy rush rush 2 days of work for us. I'm really glad that cousin Frank is now working for Uncle Boss. BIG help. We get to do things quicker now that we have help. I'm thankful. This week, we have to release 4x20 footer containers of resins, 2x20 footer containers of apple juice concentrate and 1x40 footer container of CPP Film [raw material used for packaging and stuff...], I hope and pray we all get to finish them by Friday to avoid storage charges on our client's end. Just have to get the job done.
  • Next week, it's a short work week since the Holy break is coming. All good. I'm looking forward to the break. Will have to clean the room and watch more movies. NG will have some days off too around the time, so, all good.
  • Have a fine one. God Bless.

    It's Getting Hot in Here...

Laney and I had dinner last Sunday at Burgoo at SM North Edsa's The Block. Laney had a yummy burger, I had some rice dish with chicken strips, corn kernels, sausage, mushroom and what not, it was a bit spicy but it was good. We shared our food. Wanted to take a pic of us together but she said she wasn't freshen up enough. Hee. And she told me what the MACRO [with the flower icon] function on my cam is for...it's for taking close-up pix...wheee. Something new I learned. It was nice seeing Laney again.

Like my digital clock? I DO!!! LOVE IT! I saw it on my way home last Wednesday just downstairs of the LRT Monumento station. I love the different colors. It's called MOODICARE digital clock. Might get one for my sisters since I know they will like it once they see the pix. Hee. It runs on 4 tripleA batteries and two other kind of batteries. Though, if you can use a 4.5volts adaptor too. Can you guess how much I got the clock for???

I got these blank CDs for a friend, he downloaded me a game that my dial-up connection won't be able to. I tried tho, I started downloading around midnight, then just left it and went to bed. When I woke up at 5am-ish, my connection was disconnected, as expected and I only got to download 20++MB out of 178MB. HAH! So, I asked for help/favor. Thanks Captain!!! Until I get that CD from you. I'm excited. A new game to play. I just finished Diner Dash 3 : Flo on the Go, my thanks to Pia for sending the game. Free games are good. I had Luxor 1 and 2 before, finished Luxor 1 but didn't get to play much of the sequel. The games on my computer right now are: Diner Dash 1-3, Mystery Case Files : Huntsville, Mystery Case Files : Prime Suspects, Wheel of Fortune, Bejeweled 2, Chainz 2, Dynomite, Solitaire, and some games I added for Nadine and Dylan are: Mummy Maze, Insaniquarium, Seven Seas. All good.

  • It's almost 3pm now. My chat with NG ended half an hour ago. He needs the sleep even if he was trying to stay awake, once the body wants rest, you just have to give in. Hee. I slept from 1am until about 11am today. All good. We started back on doing the mails this week, back to 20 mails each day of the week. It's quite funny crazee at times, coz whenever I reply around 9pm-ish or 10pm-ish my time, he'd also be starting to reply from his end, since he now reply from his day job in between breaks. It's all good so far. I think, I'm gonna be able to call him everyday now, just before he leaves for work. The PLDT Budget Card is the answer. Php100 for 30 minutes [3pesos per minute rate] And we only talk for a few minutes, just to say hi and what not. So, it works. A budget card lasts for a week to two for our daily weekday talk. Though, I don't get to talk to NG on the phone everyday since there are times, I'm not home by 7pm coming from work. Glad there are cheaper means to communicate nowadays. Sending a snail mail is much pricier than calling now no? Gotta love non-pricey stuff. I do.
  • If you're from the Philippines, I'm sure, you're looking forward for the long Holy Week break, I know I am. NG will have a break around the same time too. All good. It'll be starting April 5th [Maundy Thursday], 6th [Good Friday], 7th [Black Saturday], 8th [Easter Sunday/Nadine's] and 9th [Bataan Day/Tatay's birthday]...that's a long break...if I had the extra cash, I'd go away somewhere quiet...as if. Hee. I've never been out of town for Holy Week. Always at home.
  • The only thing I don't like is that it's really hot nowadays. But I know it is hotter in some other countries too. So, the heat we're experiencing right now is not the same in Africa or India no? I should stop complaining no? But it's human nature to complain. I should just keep mum about it. Hee. Like that will happen. I heard the phrase: "Ang init..." yesterday around the work place one too many times. I said it too. Mostly to myself. Sigh. I prefer the hot weather than rainy though, but I still complain about it. Hee.
  • Our washing machine FINALLY gave up on us last Wednesday. It's a 15++ years old Samsung machine. About time to have a new one. Soon. Might get one using a relative's card then will just pay it every month. I have to wash my jeans by hand later when the water comes back. And two weeks worth of undies to wash. I got lazy last week. Hee. To have someone wash your clothes nowadays will cost 300. I wanted to go that way this weekend but since Mom did most of their laundry, there is not really much left but jeans and what not. So, will just have to wash by hand. It's not that hard, used to do it back in the 90s, we sometimes don't get a person to wash our clothes. Just have to do what you have to do right? There's a thing called brush to help me in scrubbing since I can't possibly wash it by hand literally. Hee. Am I making sense or what?
  • Must go for now, will play DinerDash3 whilst I wait for the water to come back, then it's laundry time for me. Sounds exciting no? Wanna help?
  • Have a fine weekend. God Bless.
