Thinking Out Loud
It's all about [keeping] faith...
Do to others as you would have them do to you. [Luke 6:31]
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. [Proverbs 3:5]
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. [Hebrews 11:1]

I Miss Doing This...
It's been some time since I posted on here. Facebook games took most of my online time. ;) I haven't forgotten this blog. I will always have this blog, me thinks. This is a place I can just go on and on about anything and everything. I hope to get more updates on here. We will see. If you're reading this. Thank you for your time. God Bless.

Blast from 5 years ago...
The following is an e-mail from the past, sent through FutureMe.org
It was composed on Sunday, March 12, 2006, to be sent on Sunday, March 13, 2011:

Hi. Okay, it's March 13th 2006 today. 15 months with NG. SIGH. You met him just a few weeks ago. Celebrated your 14th months together. Celebrated your 30th together. Did a lot of firsts together.
So, when you get this, if you get this, it's been 5 years. Are you two together? Are you living in Nebraska? Do his parents and brother and friends like you? Do you get along with NG most of the time? What are the traits that you discovered [that you love and not love] since you met him? Have "Faith"? Happy? Still in love? Still wondering how you got together and all? Met Jamie? Met some of the members of the Jamie group? Do you know how to drive? Have you gone back to Manila after you got there?...
That was an e-mail I sent to my future self back in 2006. I was unsure of some things back then but reading what I have been questioning years ago makes me feel that I just have to have FAITH. Just have to let go and let faith and God be my guidance. Sure, I still question a few things nowadays BUT I know, my faith will get me through it all. I gotta have faith. I must ALWAYS remember that.
How's your faith? Is it enough to get you through life's ups and downs? I hope so. Let's keep our faiths together. :)

Meeting David Gray...
One of my concert buddies K, won tickets to David Gray on Tuesday [August 24th] from Q98.5. The Q gives their Facebook friends an unfair advantage with their contests by posting what time frame they'll give out tix and what not. Sometimes, they have their contest on their Facebook page. K sent me a text message saying that she'll be taking me to that show. YAY. I was gonna get a ticket but just didn't get around to it. That afternoon, the show was SOLD OUT. Whew. Saved by K.
The next day [August 25th], she won Black Crowes tickets from 101.9. That station also posts on their Facebook page as to when they're giving out tickets. She's one lucky person. :)
On Thursday afternoon, she got a call from Q98.5 that her David Gray tix will not be given to her because she also won tickets from 101.9 which happens to be Q's sister station [which she wasn't aware of]. To make the story short, as per their rule, you can only win once [per household] in 30 days from the radio stations in their family, to give chances to other people. She'll get the lesser value prize, which was the Black Crowes tickets. :( Needless to say, we were both crushed about that news. :(
Now, since the David Gray concert was sold out, if we really want to go, we'd have to pay more than face value for someone who'll sell their tickets, most likely on craigslist. :(
Friday afternoon, K sent me a text message saying her friend's friend decided not to go and she's selling the tickets for half the price. :) Of course, I said YES to that. Tickets secured. We're going to the SOLD OUT concert on Sunday [August 29th].
Day of the concert, Sunday the 29 of August, we got there, secured our seats and waited. K found out via Twitter that Stir Cove will give the last pair of meet & greet passes at 6pm for Ray Lamontagne & David Gray via a hide and seek game. ;) We got excited and kept positive that we'll get those meet and greet passes.
6pm. Stir Cove twitted the picture of this guy, must find him to get the m&g. ;)
I won't tell you how I found him but I did. I've seen him around in events since he's the photographer for omahanightlife, so, I'm familiar how he looks like. ;)
And we met David Gray. SIGH.
He even signed my CD.
I never thought I'd meet David Gray in person. Been listening to him for years and it was surreal [but REALLY nice] meeting him in person. :)

The Eff You song...
This was shared to me via twitter by two musicians, the tune is catchy, the message is clear, it's a song with the F word in it. Growing up, I was told when not to cuss, even until now, I can't cuss out loud but with songs like this, you can get your point across without having to say it yourself no? ;) Happy Friday.

We do...
Two years ago today, I said "I do" to Brian. Being married has its ups and downs like any other relationships but I am happy that I'm married to him. He can be bratty, stubborn and whiny sometimes but that's him, a few bad but mostly good. :) Happy Anniversary to you, happy we survived two years of being together. ;) How many more can we handle? Only time will tell. :)
